We have stayed several years in this unit. The owners are friendly and super responsive. The neighborhood and the beach are quiet at this end. You can’t get any closer to the beach and it’s a 30 second walk to two pools. We love coming here and always have a relaxing family vacation that can include our English Bulldog! This year there was significant beach erosion at the north end of the island but that’s to be expected given the storms this season. Did not deter from a great trip. We still went to the beach every day!

This was our first time in Carolina Beach. This place is in a great location, not busy at all. The condo is very spacious. The deck view is probably the best part though. You are so close to the beach! It’s not like a lot of places where you have to walk a long way to get down to the ocean. The beach is not wide in this area so when the tide is in, there is not a lot of space so take your chairs down first thing in the Morning. The parking spaces can be a little tight if you have a large vehicle and probably the only downside to the location is that there is not a shower or hose to rinse your feet off when coming from the beach. The shower is located at the pool, which is located across the street. Not much the owners can do about that. The Owners were great with communication and answered all of our questions very quickly. We had a great time here and will definitely come back to this location!

Property was in a great location and was exactly as shown in the pictures. I read one review that stated a concern on cleanliness. We found the property to be very clean. Also, because the property is pet friendly, I half expected there to be an animal smell, which was not the case at all. The property mgr was very responsive and very nice. Communication was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

Just a two day beach trip and was perfect! So close to the beach I could sit on the porch and practically talk so family on the beach. Great interior. Large beds.

This condo’s location was amazing. I could live on the oceanfront balcony and it is just steps from the beach. Everything was clean and as described on the listing. The owners had excellent communication and replied quickly to a question I had. I would love to stay here again.

Loves: View of the ocean from the balcony, being steps to the beach, rain style shower heads (soooo nice!)
Not so loves: We had pretty bad weather all week (nothing you can do about that), but the biggest frustration was having our dogs there because there’s really no good place to walk them so that was stressful.
Overall, I think it’s a wonderful place to be for people, just not so much for the pups!
Greg and Laura were very responsive and kind to allow a late checkout since our last day was by far the best weather day, and the condo management company was extremely quick to respond to a problem we had and very friendly! 🙂

Due to medical reasons for my large dog, I needed a location that had an easy way to enjoy the ocean view and beach. This did that for sure. However, the unit is not quite what it’s portrayed online. I’m am not new to VRBO on the island, but this is my least desired place. Arrived with previous guests dirty linens and no made beds. Rectified immediately- this was great. The living room is not the furniture in the picture. There is no futon as in description. The couch and loveseat were covered with furniture covering I’m guessing not designed for that style because the cushions would not stay on the couches. You sit down - they suck you up or cushions fall out beneath you plus overall don’t feel clean. The flooring regardless if i vacuumed, which I did, or broom clings on to sand. You wipe your feet on the inside mat - it was wet and made your feet dirtier. They advertise and show a picture of a full size washer/dryer - true, looks just like the photo. But, if you open the washer it’s ring and inside has mold on it. The unit structurally flooring isn’t level - fridge tilts as a result and just feels weird. But the constant wet feeling flooring with sand just feels grubby walking through. Lastly, not unit related was outside repairs happening on units above. Machine noise and which triggered my dogs - made for a difficult to work or enjoy ocean view. Plus, there was no prior notice, I would have changed my reservation to a diff unit, not good for dog at all.

You can’t beat the view from this condo! You are literally steps away from the beach. The deck has plenty of seating to accommodate everyone. The living room has 2 comfortable sofas and the beds were comfy as well. We did a lot of cooking and appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Just one thing to be aware of is that the parking is a tight fit for a full sized truck. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving!

Great location and beautiful view from the balcony. The biggest downfall for us was that there was no faucet at the building to clean the sand off, you had to walk across the street by the pool. Also, shortly after we arrived, there was a lot of dog hair in bunches coming out from under the couch and that was disappointing.

There is very little that I need to say if I tell you that this is the second time we have stayed at this place and are booking it next year. The location, the dog friendliness, and the responsiveness of the owners personally and the company when need was spot on as last year.

We always wonder how a place will accommodate a rambunctious 4 year old. This place did great! Right away, we were informed about check in and the rental. We had great communication with the host. We have been at plenty of rentals where little things go wrong. We had no issues. We loved that it was just one flight of stairs and we had a great view of the beach. We loved that parking was easy and we didn't have to move around our car or get blocked in. We loved that they had chairs and sand toys. We loved that they had the essentials needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer were convenient. We didn't need them, but it did take away our worry if our preschooler had an accident in their clothes. The shower had great pressure. Oh and that king bed was super comfy. We slept great the whole time. There were quirky little things that we worked through, but it didn't take away from our trip. It was really just what we needed for the 3 of us in our little family. We would love to come back. And we can't get over the location. It was a quick drive to the boardwalk and really close to Freeman Park. We got to watch some beautiful sunrises and see some surfers testing their skills on a windy day. We will be back!

All 4 of us (parents, 10 yr son, and dog) felt right at home. Clean, well-appointed, great location, responsive and thoughtful owners. Our son found a great white shark tooth during our first walk on the beach, and we all loved watching the dolphins from the porch each morning. We will come back!

This is the third time staying here. It’s a very nice place and right on the beach. The condo has everything you would need. It is very clean and accommodating. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We love this place!!!!

The view of the ocean from this condo is perfect. The place is clean and comfortable. A shout-out to the property management company: I got a little confused about which condo was mine and how to use the electronic door lock so I called management. They were super prompt and got me to where I needed to be with ease.

We stayed at this location at the end of November, knowing it wasn't exactly beach season, but we were in the area and wanted to check it out. The location could not be more relaxing and the view is amazing. We pretty much spent our time on the deck watching the waves roll in. We didn't even bother to go out to eat because we figured we couldn't find a dining location better than we already had. The property description is entirely accurate - very "beachy" vibe inside, not fancy, but very comfortable. The living room was very cozy, right off the deck, so we could appreciate the ocean even while watching TV or cooking in the kitchen. The check-in and check-out processes were very easy and well organized. The town was quite empty, which was fine by us, and I can only imagine how busy it gets in the summer months! But, for us, it was peaceful and relaxing. Oh, and we had our Beagle with us, and she enoyed it immensely as well. Great stay!

Upon arrival I was already very impressed and excited to find a well supplied kitchen including dishes, glassware, silverware, even cookware including a crockpot. My kids were excited to find several beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. Everything was very clean and well cared for. Instructions to manage the technology like the TV and thermometer were very clear and helpful. The location was amazing, right on the beach and it was easy to get to the bars, restaurants and shops just down the street.
The property owners and managers even made a detailed list of all the recommended local spots and we tried (and loved) many of the restaurant recommendations. Kates Pancakes is a great local diner with amazing breakfast and Soul Flavor is a gem!

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay. Excellent beach front location, beautiful views, and walking distance to the pier. By the way, pier restaurant (though a very simple restaurant) was amazing!! Only downside, apparently, housekeeping missed cleaning the guest room beds…? Sheets were still on the beds and full of sand/dirt. We were provided sheets so we changed those out. Additionally, I emailed the owners 2 separate questions the week of our trip but never heard back. They were not vital questions, so not a big deal.. but not sure what happened there. Overall, nice place, we would come back!
