the best choice i made for my first time visit in Semporna. the staff were friendly and helpful. the room was pretty good for the value. overall i satisfied with my staycation at this hotel.

It would be great if they could broaden their breakfast choice and yet we still enjoy with the choices given.

I arrived at Semporna, travelling by car from Sandakan, without any reservation. I found Casa Casa through booking.com. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room and the friendly service. When we came, the room was just offered to guests for rent, so I guess we were the first guests of their newly operational wing. We had a good time and will come back if we're ever in town. We had 2 fluffy pillows each!! The room came with complementary breakfast too. What a good deal.

The cables were outside of the verandah, but I guess they were still finalizing the renovation.

The ambience...the simplicity yet comfy

The room itself was clean and comfortable. They had a water machine. The rooms are these split levels with a loft above where there is a bed and there is one down below in the main room as well. The A/C was good and so was the lighting inside. The room was affordable. We came to snorkel on Mabul Island and didn't want to pay resort prices to stay there so this worked out reasonably well for that.

The neighborhood is scruffy with a lot of stray dogs wandering around and rubbish on the streets. I guess Semporna is like this and the hotel is not particularly worse than other small hotels in this regard. The hotel is also noisy. That split level loft thing in the rooms makes it so that people are regularly walking up and down the stairs in their rooms and the creaking of those stairs plus the thin walls makes it rather loud at all hours.

wake up at 6am , heard some sound from the shower …there’s a big rat…party in the shower room…jump here and there and I have no idea where it came from , quite scary…

The staff is kind and happy to help with the organisation of airport transfers as well as snorkeling tours, however we booked it over Halo Halo Travel which is right next to the guesthouse. We liked the complementary kitchen to store food and have a breakfast before leaving early for the trips as most coffee shops are not open before 10 am.

The room is really small, with two luggages there is almost no space to stay anywhere else than on the bed. The bathroom was quite dirty and in general there was a lot of humidity in the room leading to a bit of mold on the walls.
