Beautiful beachfront location, nice complex, nice pool. Unit and furnishings as depicted in photos except deck furniture (missing chairs). We brought our own folding chairs so it was not a problem.

Reviewer Comments: Hard to be succinct with all the things I need to comment on, but the condensed version is: "vacationer beware". We stayed in the Michael unit in August 2021 and during on ongoing pandemic, we'd expect the unit to have been cleaner. Our bathroom had sand and dirt in the shower upon arrival, there were toothpaste and water spots on/in the bathroom sink and countertop and mirror in the master bath. The bath mats appeared to be years old. The linens for the bed (though delivered in plastic wrap by an external vendor) were worn and stained, but smelled heavily of bleach. The water supply to this unit STINKS of rotten eggs. We had to wash our clothes when we got home about 3 cycles to get the smell out. The washer/dryer in the unit didn't help with that issue. The kitchen was poorly stocked and lacking in basic quality utensils and wares needed to cook. We literally had to go to Harris Teeter and buy a new skillet, for example. The utensils are useless and in poor shape. The steak knives were bent on the tips. The plastic whisk wouldn't even beat an egg - very frustrating. Upon arrival, the instructions are lacking in exactly how to access your unit; same for pool and beach access. We had to ask other residents. I will say that while every measure is taken to ensure security (in terms of access codes, etc.) it is overkill. You need a different code for every foyer/entry, beach access, gate, etc. It was not clear where the dumpster was initially, or how to dispose of trash/recycling. Last but certainly not least, PLEASE update this unit! The aesthetic is really a mood killer at the beach with the dark, heavy and oversized furniture circa 1992. When it rains all week and you have to stare at it, it's just depressing. And plastic on the dining room chairs? Come on. You can see from the pics online that it is outdated, but you assume clean, at least. This time, old actually meant old and dirty. Very disappointing to pay $3600 a week for this place.

Over the years we have learned to only rent on floors 3 or 4 as the lower units have an obstructed beach view because of the dunes. The ocean facing deck is one of our favorite features of Duneridge units. There have been some nice updates to the bldg lobby/stairwells and landing areas that really make a difference. As for this unit, it was located in bldg 2 on the 3rd floor. The updated keypad (no physical key) was nice and easy to use. The rest of the unit was disappointing. Did everything work? Yes. But this place has not been updated in years, maybe since original owners. The kitchen is outdated and equipped with only the basic needs. The furniture throughout the unit is massive (too big/dark for the space), the lighting is old/dim, the beds creak and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are also original, with peeling wallpaper and stained sinks. The deck furniture and cushions was broken, sagging and dirty. We didn’t come to WB to stay inside, so while we disliked the decor (personal preference), we didn’t let it ruin our trip. Overall, we love WB, the access/views available at Duneridge, but would not rent this unit again unless it was the only option.

This property should not be on the rental market until it gets some much needed attention. Blinds are falling off the windows, broken chairs, dirty upholstery, worn out cushions and all very outdated. The rental company service was not good either. Gave us a wrong door code and no code for one door. Told us we had to come to the office to get parking passes but didn’t need them this time of year. The views and location are great but would not rent again.

Had a fantastic weekend with the family. Even got some surf fishing in the mix. Place was great and fun and we plan on returning again.

ThIs property is disgraceful. It should not be on the market as a summer rentable unit. It’s dirty and dated beyond belief. Torn window blinds, mattresses and linens and furnishings that must be at least 25 years old. Dirty walls, carpeting, and furnishings. This unit and everything about it is just disgraceful. Bryant Real Estate Agency who represents the owner will not do anything to try and make your stay better. The complaints from other vacationers about the unit still hold true. The unit smells fowl and I would never stay here again or have any dealings with Bryant Real Estate. There are other rental agencies such as Seascape which are much better. I wish I could post pictures. There is rust on the shower doors, cracks in the tile floors, moldings that are filthy and all chipped. The furnishings are so old that when you sit on them you feel like you’re sitting in the floor. The a/c intake is all rusted. The outdoor patio furniture is dirty and awful. The unit needs to be entirely gutted and renovated. I would recommend Wrightsville Dunes next door. A much more beautiful facility. Our other family members stayed there. Beautifully maintained. They received nice welcoming packages from their host. All we received were very old nasty linens and awful old bath towels.

It was only one of four properties left for Memorial Day Weekend in Wrightsville. But, Michael is a great little condo...yes, the furniture is dated and the kitchen and bathrooms definitely need updating, but it was fine for a quick last minute long weekend getaway. It was clean and comfortable and truly how much time do you spend in the condo when you are at the beach. The views from the condo and balcony are beautiful and the balcony furniture is comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in Michael.

You can also go out onto the front entryway area and watch the sunset over the Sound. Positives: Covered balcony a DEFINITE plus: we have stayed in the adjacent property multiple times in the past and they did not have this. Master suite bed very comfy. LOTS of extra blankets if needed. Fold-up chairs available: we used these to sit out in the front and watch the sunset. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for cooking: we cook in more than we eat out and we had no issues: really great! Negatives: Two of the chairs on the deck need to be replaced: one totally unusable and one close to that. Didn't affect us as we were only two people, but if 4 people had stayed there it would have been an issue. Galley kitchen narrow and not conducive for more than one person working at the same time. Lights in the main kitchen area and in both of the bathrooms were fluorescent and hummed a lot. Annoying. We visited in October, so we did not take advantage of the pool, but just want to mention that The pool area is wonderful: chairs/tables with umbrellas. Large pool.

We loved this location, and the view of the Ocean. The pool was great, the place was clean. We stayed less than five days and it was a little inconvenient having to bring our own linens and towels and/or pay for them. Also there are no clear instructions on how to access the beach (have to go through the pool) it was confusing and we had to ask someone. Other than that the place was beautiful, however a few things like others said need fixing or replacement (bathroom shower door in master bedroom, and blinds in master bedroom).

The only things I would recommend is for the refrigerator to be cleaned better upon arrival and a broom and dustpan to keep up with sand that gets tracked in. We usually rent a house closer to where the shops and restaurant are are located, however this year we had a smaller group. The condo was reasonably priced and was convenient for our kids. There is easy and direct access to the beach (which is not overcrowded), and also have the option of hanging out at the pool. The condo itself was just as advertised. I saw that other renters had issues with the shower doors, which still were not repaired for our stay and gave us difficulty getting in and out. The furniture style gives it an older, more formal vibe, but it was comfortable overall. We had a difficult time finding our way upon arrival (both locating the condo and how to access the pool/beach) but loved our overall stay, especially the view and sound of the beach from the balcony. I would definitely recommend it and would consider staying again!
