ACCESSIBILITY:
There is a first floor bedroom and half bath. There are 14 steps to the bathroom with shower/tub.
NOISE:
This is downtown Chicago. You will hear noises. There is a train line a few buildings down; there are neighbors on both sides as well as above one of the bedrooms; there are city noises. As you can see from my reviews, this is not an issue for most, some even comment on how quiet the house but if you are looking for a place away from it all, I am afraid this is not it.
WORRY FREE CLEANING PACKAGE:
At check out you will need to take care of trash overflow, dishes, exuberant messes and any food you brought. The worry free package covers any and all cleaning. Just walk out in the morning (you do need to move furniture back if you make any changes to layout). Note that this fee is additional to my regular cleaning fee you pay when you book the place. This package is best for those who want to decorate, cook a lot, are traveling as a group and would rather split the extra fee than worry about anything in the morning.
DECORATING THE HOUSE:
You are welcome to decorate the house. If you attach anything to the walls, please use paint-safe tape and remove it prior your departure. There is a $200 glitter and confetti fee.
HOUSE RULES:
Unregistered guests are not allowed on the property. The presence of more than 14 guests is unlawful. A guest is anyone at the property, staying the night, or just visiting. Minors need to have a responsible adult present. Primary booker is required to stay on the property and provide an ID. IDs will need to be provided prior to your arrival for everyone spending any time at the property for reservations made less than 30 days in advance. This includes overnight guests or any visitors. There is a counter installed. I utilize a private security firm. If the counter shows more than the registered number of people or if I get a noise complaint from neighbors, security will be immediately dispatched. A $200 dispatch fee will be charged from your security deposit. Should they be unsuccessful in removing you from the premises, they will involve the police. This is not a place for a local house party.
GRILL: there is a gas grill at the property. I do not provide any supplies including gas. Frequently previous guests leave plenty behind and there is a gas refill station less than five minutes away.
WILDLIFE
You will encounter wildlife while staying at the property. Here what you can expect most commonly:
Spiders and ants are common in Chicago. They get as high as 95th floor of John Hancock building. While we do our best to combat them, it is near impossible during high season.
Bees, wasps, yellowjackets are abundant throughout the city. While we take care of any nests on the property, we can not control them in the air and beyond our boundaries.
BREAKDOWNS
I will use my best efforts to ensure that all equipment within the house is in good working order, although I can not guarantee that any equipment will not break down during your stay, and therefore such a breakdown does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustments made for any such mechanical failure. In the event of a breakdown, I will use my best efforts to remedy the situation as soon as possible after notification of the breakdown. There will be no refunds or rebates given for inoperable appliances or faulty equipment, unfavorable weather, interruption of utilities, or minor maintenance problems. No rebates will be given for malfunctions of cable equipment or reception that affects the TV or Internet access. Please remember that I can not fix a problem if I do not know about it so please communicate any issues promptly.
GETTING AROUND:
The house is a five minute walk from the Brown Line and the Purple Line at the Sedgwick stop and an eight minute walk from Red line at Clark. It takes be about 15 min to walk to Michigan Ave and Wells street bars are a minute away. Buses and cabs are also easily accessible. It is about a 3 minute drive to get onto Lake Shore drive at LaSalle and about 8 minutes to Kennedy expressway at North Avenue.
The house is in east Old Town- best neighborhood in Chicago for both families or if you are looking to have fun. While the street itself is very quiet, tree lined and barely has cars passing by, as soon as you turn the corner, you are in the center of everything! Wells street restaurants and bars are steps away. Lincoln Park with the zoo, farm, pond, open spaces and farmers market is a 7-10 min. walk. North avenue beach is the same distance. The beaches are free to the public and have breathtaking city views. Grocery shopping is made easy, seeing as Jewel Osco is located right in the neighborhood. Nearby coffee shops include Starbucks and La Fournette. There are 103 restaurants within a 15 minute walk including some of Chicago's top restaurants including Kamehachi, Topo Gigio, The Fireplace Inn, and Woodies Flat. Bars and lounges are abundant on Wells and are all 1-2 minute walk. Shopping in Old Town is a unique experience; the majority of shops in this neighborhood are boutiques rather than well-known chain stores. Therefore, each and every store is cozy, intimate and filled with one-of-a-kind goods. The Lincoln Park Zoo is a world of wildlife in the shadow of skyscrapers. Located within a verdant park just minutes north of Chicago, the zoo has been a natural, free oasis for generations of animal lovers, who visit the zoo to hear a lion’s roar echo off nearby apartment buildings, see gorillas climb trees as the Willis Tower looms in the distance, or forget where they are as they immerse themselves in tropical rainforests, dry-thorn forests or spacious savannas. Free and open every day of the year, Lincoln Park Zoo has something for everyone. The Steppenwolf Theater, located just a few blocks away from the property presents up to 16 plays and nearly 700 performances, readings and other events every year on three stages. The Second City is another nearby theater that specializes in sketch comedy and improv, and has been delighting audiences for over 50 years. They have had many famous comedians perform at the theater over the years. They have comedy shows seven nights a week on 4 stages; the shows consist of short scenes, songs, and improvised comedy sketches. Cocktails and food are available throughout the show. Get ready to laugh! Oak street and beginning of Michigan avenue is about 15-20 minute walk.
PETS:
I welcome pets however the following breeds of dogs are not allowed due to insurance limitations: Akita, American Staffordshire, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Wolf hybrid, or any dog that is a mix that includes one or more of the breeds listed above.
The house is best for bachelor, bachelorette and friend groups as well as business travelers. It is not child proof.

Upon check in we never received a door code. When asked the host replied that she sent the code and never did. The house was not clean when we arrived there was hair everywhere. Some of the beds looked like they were slept in with hair in the sheets. The house is located in a great area.

A beautiful apartment in a perfect location. Walking distance to Wells street in old town. The apartment itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The host also was very helpful with everything

Host was very helpful with the entire process, communicating actively from the get-go and assisting with reasonably-priced accommodations that were add-ons (primarily early check-in and late checkout). The location was superb, right in the heart of Old Town. It's not the homeliest of places, but rather, a spot to fit a large crew looking for a weekend getaway that involves more adventure outside the residence. Would love to come back!

Had a great stay with friends in Chicago. Location is perfect. Really enjoyed our time.

Exactly as advertised! Everything was clean and well-stocked. The patio area was very nice. We stayed over July 4th weekend and it was perfect for a small BBQ. Also a short walk to the grocery store and some great restaurants in old town.

We were a group of 5 adults so having 5 queen beds was great! We didn’t mind the interesting layout of the bedrooms as we were all getting up and going to bed at the same time. We also enjoyed a short walk to dinner one evening and another night for ice cream. Two grocery stores were available nearby, as well.

Communication was fantastic. Location is excellent. I stayed there with my wife and kids and there was plenty of room. Would be great for a big group of friends or a bachelor party weekend.

To say we enjoyed our stay was an understatement. Finding the location and unloading was smooth. Plenty of space for our family. We loved being able to walk around Old Town and wind our way down to Michigan Ave. The Sedgwick stop on the brown line was a 4 minute walk and made it easy to get anywhere we wanted in between the city. We are already trying to figure out when we can return and stay at this property. Thanks for everything!

We stayed for a weekend in January and had a great time. The property is well located near the train and is in close proximity to most of the downtown Loop by 10-15 minute taxi or Uber. Old Town is a great area on its own with plenty of food, drink and shopping options nearby.
The property was clean and plenty of space for us (group of 7. As described in the listing, the home has an interesting layout with one bedroom being a walkthrough to the back bedroom. This was hardly a concern for us and was no issue.
Alexandra is a great host. She was available immediately to assist upon our arrival and quick to respond for all questions before and during our trip.
We would stay here again on future trips.

Location was great for our activities—super close to train and out planned activities.

Everything was ok accept check in we were given the wrong information. It was dark when we got there back porch not lighted in the confesion I fell on a giant step and then was unable to do all the events we had planned. It was also very difficult to send our IDs in and host was unable to meet us at property so this caused a lot of stress. My daughter with a Iphone was able to do it for me not able on android or computer.

Incredible location, host very accommodating and responsive. Highly recommend!!!!

We wanted to be in Old Town near family and this place was clean and affordable in great location. The downside for us was not the city noise but the noise from upstairs neighbors. They weren't partying but had kids that were jumping around and the place isnt well insulated i guess. Not the fault of owner but just an fyi. Make sure you read through the whole listing and emails from the host because if you reach out with a question she will remind you the answer was in her email or on the listing a little condescendingly.

this property was well situated for getting to and from downtown. IT is in an area being gentrified and has walking access to Lincoln park and Zoo as well as nice dinning (Orso's I recommend and Kanela for breakfast)

Happy with my stay. Had 8 of us total and it was big enough to accommodate us all. Neighborhood was great. Host always got back to us in a timely manner. Would def consider staying again.

We ran into a problem with our VRBO. The property had a burst pipe. Inna communicated this problem thoroughly and made sure it was taken care of and the rest of our stay was wonderful. She emailed, texted and called. They also refunded us for most of the stay. Thank you!

Perfect Location - Perfect Neighborhood! Close to everything including downtown. Great place for a family or a group of friends as was the case for our trip. Good communication and understanding hosts. Thank you.

Easy walk and quick Uber to magnificent mile. Great for our family as we needed a place to crash with 5 beds but wanted to be close to all the downtown activities. Property manager was quick and responsive through VRBO messaging.

We stayed at this property for a weekend family gathering in Chicago. This property had exactly the attributes we needed: separate spaces in which to sleep, a common space to gather, and a central location. It was a bit noisy, but nothing unexpected considering we were in Chicago on a weekend. Would recommend!

Was a great place to stay with the family. Location was good walking distance from many great places.

Property was clean and as described. Directions were easy. Check in and out were seamless. Garage was a tad tight to park in. Location was great. Overall fantastic house and stay.

I had some difficulty with this booking and got a lot of help from Inna. She also met us at the property when we arrived to make sure all was in order and to answer questions, help us get oriented. Our family had a good Thanksgiving vacation here.

A practical and efficient condo in a fabulous location.

First off, communication with the host is professional, prompt and entirely pleasant and businesslike. The rental is within easy walking distance of Lincoln Park, downtown, Michigan Avenue and much of what the city has to offer.
The rental is clean and quite satisfactory, with little touches not usually found in rental properties to make the guest feel welcome. The garage space is a substantial plus!
My only reservation about recommending and staying this place again is quite minor: there's no cable TV. To be completely fair to the host, it is not mentioned in the amenities but this was quite surprising and unexpected. Even knowing this, I'd rent the place again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay - close to Old Town and walking distance to public transport!

Comfortable, clean, great location
Inna was very hospitable and the property was very cozy. It has all the basic amenities needed to enjoy a nice long stay in Chicago. The location is fantastic, just a block or so down from a strip of local bars, restaurants, and shops. Came in for my bachelorette party and it was perfect for a group of 7. Having 3 bathrooms was great, the patio area was nice, the garage was a bonus, and it was more spacious than anticipated.

Family Vacay In Chicago
We had a wonderful stay, and our host was amazing. There were 7 of us that fit comfortably with plenty of room. Short walk from the el and lots of great restaurants. I highly recommend staying here!

Perfect location to experience all of Chicago!
Located in the heart of old town Chicago giving us opportunities to experience all kinds of food, and entertainment and it’s close to get to everything in Chicago.

Nice, but no frills
The owner was accessible and responsive. The location is convenient—nice part of town, close to stores and restaurants. It was great having access to a garage.
The house was clean and comfortable. The house is no frills, though. Just the basics of what you need. The kitchen was nice, and we had no problems using it to prepare meals.
I wish the photos offered a better description of the bedrooms. The arrangement of two of the rooms was odd. Perfectly functional, though.

will not rent again this is not a place i feel saftf to stay in with the easy ways to get into the k
they need the Photo's of all the people staying in the house which is ok but let me know that before i book it, and the people that will come over to see you as well no need for that we are adults here, and the will not let you in until you give them your id and guess ID's as well and the place is like a frat house for kids not adults, there is only one T.v in the house and it is a size 19'in' crazy in a three bedroom APRTMEANT I COULD GO ON AND ON IN THE BED ROOM UP STAIRS THERE IB MORE STEPS TO LEAD TO THE apartment up stairs its crazy how they did the place and it's dirty only clean space in the living room but to each owned but as for me i will never use this place again it was a lost of founds for me i did not stay there i just left and stayed with a friend. i have pictures to prove what i say.

Awesome place for girls weekend!
There were 9 of us late 30/40 somethings that met up and stayed here for a weekend. Great location with lots of fun bars/restaurants/shopping near by. We sat out on the patio area much of 1 day just hanging out. We had a great time!
