About this villa rental
Situated just a short 5 minute walk to Valbonne village, this beautiful villa is set in lush Provencal gardens with a secluded pool.
The villa has a large open plan living and dining room, with direct access to a terrace and cosy covered courtyard. It boasts plenty of original features, with chimneys inside and out, as well as Provencal stone walls.
In the well-manicured garden you'll find many sunny terraces as well as a large outdoor kitchen containing gas bbq, sideburner, fridge and decked seating area. There is also a heated swimming-pool and a boules court surrounded with plenty of Provencal plants and olive-trees. The garden is predominately flat and boasts incredible views of the mountains in the distance.
The entrance to the property is gated, providing secure and covered parking. Although close to the village it is incredibly quiet and peaceful.
Inside the villa, there are 3 bedrooms and a bunk bed room for 2 people; 2 of the bedrooms have ensuites and there is an additional shower room. There is also a toilet and shower located next to the swimming pool. On the spacious landing of the master bedroom there is also a double sofa-bed to easily accommodate extra guests. On the spacious landing of the master bedroom there is a study space with a desk and sofa to either work or unwind, away from the rest of the house. To easily accommodate extra guests, one of the sofas in the sitting room can be turned into a large double bed.
For added flexibility, the second bedroom's kingsize bed can easily be split into two twin beds with headboards.
The top-spec kitchen is well equipped with an electric AGA containing gas hobs, skillet and electric oven compartments. To the rear of the kitchen is a light and airy breakfast room with TV. Outside the kitchen, you will find a covered summer kitchen, complete with a large coal BBQ. Close to the BBQ is a comfortable outside sofa and dining area, which is lit by two large chandeliers and perfect for large group dinners.
At the back of the house, you'll find the master bedroom, king/twin bedroom and also the landing area. In the sitting room there is a snug lounge area, with two 3-seater sofas and 2 comfy arm chairs. There's a 32" widescreen internet TV and a DVD player. You'll find a good selection of DVD's to use for all age-ranges. Also in the sitting room is a dining area, with a table that can extend to seat up to 12 people.
The stunning master bedroom, accessible from both outside and inside (via an internal oak staircase) has a spacious ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower, bath, twin-sinks. Attached to the master is a room with two integrated bunk beds and wardrobes, perfect for children. You can use the patio at the back of the master bedroom to read and relax and the two sets of patio doors allow you to open straight onto the pool area.
The pool is heated and secured with an alarm which conforms to the latest French security requirements. The sun-trapped position of the pool means it's an idea spot for sunbathing throughout summer. It sits hidden below well-manicured shrubbery and has four sun loungers beside it. If you wish to stay out of the sun there is a parasol covered lounging area on the opposite side and another covered patio area outside the master bedroom.
The property also has fully-integrated air conditioning, with separate controls in every room.
In addition to the outside dining and BBQ areas, there is a small sun terrace nestled above the swimming pool, surrounded by ivy and accessible from both inside and outside. On the terrace is a four person dining table with parasol. This vantage point provides great mountain views in the distance.
Valbonne village is located within easy reach of all local attractions; just 25 minutes to Nice Cote-D'Azur Airport, 20 minutes to the nearest beaches and within reach of the first slopes of the southern alps. The village itself is famous for its lively restaurants, great shops, boutiques and deli’s. Being such a short walk from the main square, the property allows you to relax and enjoy the local lifestyle without the need to drive anywhere if you so wish. That said, when you do wish to venture out the house is close to something for everyone; walks, beaches, shopping, lakes, fishing and so on.
When you arrive at the Villa you will be greeted by our host, who will walk you through everything you need to know and provide a contact point throughout your stay. If you decide to take the villa for a two week or longer period, the linens will be changed on a weekly basis, with a cleaning service also provided. Pool heating is included within the booking price for the summer months June, July, August and September.

I vacationed here for 2 weeks with my wife, 14 yr old daughter and my 2 parents. The villa is beutiful. All bedrooms were spacious, had their own air conditioning controls. The kitchen was a good size and had everything you would need. The outdoor areas were magnificent, the pool is deep and plenty of space to enjoy around it. There are 3 distinct areas to enjoy a meal, each offering something a little different. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and fully recommend it to anyone looking for a property that is quiet, well appointed, and close to a lively village with lots of restaurants.

I recently rented this property to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends. The villa is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The house manager, Sue, was very attentive and provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The villa is also just a short 10 minute walk into Valbonne and only ~20 minutes into Cannes-great location! I would definitely rent this property again!

The house, garden, pool and surrounding area/town was fabulous. The house was much bigger than expected from the photos - lots of room and space for 4 adults and two children. Everything was thought of - furnishings, appliances, places sit at different times of day and weather. A truly fabulous holiday - we will be back!

Two weeks in this villa and would highly recommend. Highlights include:- wonderful communication and support from the owner, Phil- the villa retains character whilst being functional and in good working order- the heated pool is a delight. Given the amount of time spent around it, the privacy, size and excellent condition are a real winner- the landscaped gardens are beautiful. Well kept, lots of different areas, beautiful flowers, herbs and trees, all creating a charming environment to relax in- with a 16 month old in tow, the accessibility from driveway to front door to kitchen is perfect. Previous villas we have stayed in on hillsides have been lovely, but would have been wholly impractical with a pushchair and baby. This villa is mere steps into the property and easy for carrying shopping in- the master suite is secluded and spacious - lovely to have a top floor for baby, and the large downstairs double with dressing room and ensuite. With the doors out to the garden and pool area, this was a great feature- a well stocked and functional kitchen - as a keen cook this was important and nothing lacking- location - easy walk into Valbonne with its restaurants, market and lovely little boutiques - not always easy to find with villas. Plus a quick drive to the coastal towns of Cannes, Antibes and Nice, Perfect to enjoy both the lovely mediaeval towns of Provence and the beaches and glamour of the Côte d’AzurWe have stayed in many villas over the years. This is one of the few we would return to and we created treasured memories with family and friends. Thank you to Phil for being so attentive and clearly wanting above all to ensure guests have a perfect experience.

Wonderful
As we know the area around Valbonne very well since years we know what we talk about saying , this house is absolutely great. Service, kindness, support whatever was requested, flexible and friendly. The athmospere invited to totally relax, spacious inside, French Garden outside. Close to the Valbonne market square, foot walk.
We missed nothing, except eventually a second or bigger fridge to better cool the good wines.

Phil was brilliant from the moment we booked, always responding quickly and ensured we had baby bits (travel cot, high chair). Christine greeted us on arrival and was on-hand if we needed anything during our stay. The location for us couldnt have been better. The villa is located on a quiet residential road on the outskirts of Valbonne with spectacular views of the mountains. We walked into the village everyday in less than 10 minutes. Enchanting experience
The house is located on the side of a hill about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Valbonne. We could not have chosen a better place. It took us around 25 minutes to drive if you avoid the toll road from Nice airport, probably quicker if you take toll roads, with a satnav it was a very easy journey. Lovely scenery and views on the way. We were met, shown around house and put at our ease. The house has beautiful gardens and is airy and spacious inside. There was everything we needed on site, towels, tea, coffee, sugar and even a welcome pot of homemade stawberry jam, which we enjoyed with our croissants in the mornings. Lots of outside space with shade if you want to escape the sun. The place was lovely and clean. We did have to use mosquito repellent and there is spray available in each bedroom. The bes ar a good size and very comfortable. I have a bad back and always worry about the mattress when away from home but I needn't have worried. The weather was perfect and hot every day and being on a hill at night we left the doors open and got a lovely cooling breeze through the bedrooms.
We visited several nearby beaches during our stay which were never more that 20-30 minutes away. Walked into Valbonne most evenings, to the square which has many restaurants to choose from. We visited Grasse and the perfumery and did a tour which was free. We visited the nearby lake and hired a pedalo. There are a couple of televisions, DVDs and games, but to be honest we never really used them as there is so much to do and see. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will definitely be coming here again.

Perfect holiday
Can't get much better for a family holiday - 20 minutes from Nice airport and a very short stroll into the village - The kids loved the pool and the gardens and the house itself lacked for nothing. We'll be back!
