A beautiful historic home bnb.

Bill’s house is a lovely historic place full of interesting collectibles. Breakfast is DIY which is fine with us.

Overall a beautiful place to stay if you don't mind to share the bathroom

The place is gorgeous, a museum in fact. Covered by antiques. The owner is helpful. Basic breakfast (cereal, waffles, tea, coffee).

It was very nice at the end of a busy day to return to the quiet and beautifully appointed lodgings.

The location was perfect. I really appreciated the beautiful interiors of the B&B. Bill certainly is a master craftsman.

N/A - Don't due breakfast. Took some yogurt and a bagel for snacks later (don't tell anybody) Great location, once I got my bearings.

One complaint, flatten the hills a bit! (ha ha) I know it's out of Bill's control -- at least San Fransico is sort of level at least parallel to the Sea shore, but last time I was there, my legs were younger.

the room had a terrible smell I opened the window to help get rid of the smell and he shut the heat off so then I froze.

Overall a lovely stay!

Great location, we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to see. Super interesting decorations and a lovely host.

A private bathroom would have been nice and maybe some eggs for breakfast.

Comfy Bed & self-serve Breakfast variety in a very peaceful old home, full of interesting memorabilia, delightfully renovated by Bill the pleasant accommodating host. Easy walking to downtown pubs & restaurants and bus stops. Great value - I plan to come back.

Phenomenal, would stay again anytime I'm in St John's

-Great overall vibes and decor, the place is a real museum and Bill has taken great care of it -Spotless, cleanest property I've ever stayed in -Bill is a character, great to chat with -Great room, comfy bed

-As mentioned throughout the listing, it is shared bathrooms and no included hot breakfast

Very friendly owner, appreciated the offer of toast when I arrived late and hungry. Amazing place, like stepping back in time, real artefacts, a lot of time and money has gone into detailled restorations.

Short visit to St John's - interesting town but downtown is seriously grubby.

Beautifully restored house in conservation area, furnished faithfully to the period - a veritable living museum.

Shared bathroom is not ideal - but a minor inconvenience!

Enjoyed staying in this historic home with antiques displayed. Bill our host was wonderful. It was perfectly located to walk downtown or visit the Rooms, St. John's, the wharf. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Location, Excellent host, Eclectic manor home, unique in every way

No fresh fruit available with breakfast. A Water cooler, to refill our water bottles would have been appreciated. Although the authentic lighting was beautiful, the actual amount of light was very low & we had difficulty seeing in Room 2.

I absolutely loved staying at this property!! It was like a home away from home - a fascinating house filled with impressive collections of books, records and antiques, all beautifully displayed. My room was spacious and very comfortable but I was also invited, to explore the rest of the house and to make myself at home in the shared spaces.

Everything was great about our visit from our host Bill to the location to the room. The whole Jelly Bean Row House is a living museum of antiques! Memorable stay! Highly recommend!

Loved the host, loved the house and the location was perfect for us.

The house is immaculate, and the attention to detail put into restoring and decorating is incredible. Bill was so passionate about the work he does and the care he puts into the house, it was infectious and I loved asking questions. I will recommend this to all family and friends visiting St. John's and recommend you stay here. What a beautiful introduction to Newfoundland.
