(Rates start at $980 per night and can go to $1,535 in high season/holidays) The calendar is not updated publicly for security reasons. This mid-century modern home (1959) was purchased in 2018 and has undergone extensive renovations. Enter the front foyer through the double doors, and the open, loft-style living space will greet you with a great room, a modern kitchen, and a long spacious table. This is the perfect space for entertaining and gathering with your family. The floors are sleek, grey concrete, and the entire back wall of the home features glass windows and French Doors, overlooking a large concrete deck with a built-in sunshade canopy--and pool and canyons below. This is California living, where the indoors and outdoors join one another in beautiful harmony. Walk down the winding stairs to the lower pool deck, where ample pool furniture awaits your fun day in the sun. The property is completely private and very spacious for large gatherings. We loved getting together for a reunion with a few friends. The house has plenty of room and the back yard, pool and spa are the best part. We couldn’t have been happier to be together here and enjoy the proximity to beaches, hiking and San Diego. Parking was also easy.

The property is in a great location. Easy access to the beach in La Jolla. The pool and outside area are even better than the pictures. The inside of the house is spacious. The open kitchen was great for family gatherings. The outside grill does not match the home and could use an update. Overall the house is great. Would highly recommend for a large group.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. There were ample bedrooms to accommodate our family of 14! We could not understand, however, why the master suite bed was raised almost five feet off the floor!! We, the parents (grandparents in our 70's) were assigned to the master suite. I am quite tall but had to do a lot of maneuvering to get on the bed!! If you're going to have a bed like this you need to have sturdy steps to get on the bed!
We needed an extra pack and play but borrowed that from friends in the area. The description of the home said there was a gas grill. We hired a chef for an evening and when he was going out to grill, there was no propane tank!! So our son quickly went to a store and bought a filled tank. ($67) The host did bring one later but we had already attached the new one so couldn't return it. Still waiting for a refund.
The showers were fine with good hot water but the kitchen sink had very lukewarm water. We could not get it hot. Also, the wifi in the house was mediocre at best so most of us resorted to cell service. Most of the house was well-cleaned when we arrived although one DIL said her bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly.(toilet was grimy with hair!)
We still really enjoyed our stay here. The location is super convenient to all the SD attractions.

Our family visited San Diego for a family wedding and the house was perfect. All the bedrooms were comfortable. Loved all the bathrooms. Had plenty of amenities and toiletries to get through the visit. The property is beautiful. Pool and hot tub were a hit and nice areas outside to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather. Communication was great. Had a couple minor issues and both were addressed in a timely manner.

Great property with a ton of space for all of our party (10 ladies there for the National USTA Tournament). Large community areas (kitchen and family room) were great for gathering on our down time. Also, very close to downtown area with great restaurants!

No shortage of bedrooom here! Lots of privacy and room for larger parties to still have personal space. There was a lot of communication and house rules to read, but nothing too complicated. Cleanliness of the house and pool were great to walk into! Recommend staying here

Very spacious house with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 13. The house is a bit dated but functional. The bed linens and towels were of poor quality but the beds were comfy. The TVs did not work when we arrived and it took 3 days for a technician to arrive. The views were amazing and the garden and pool well maintained. The pool was cold, but the kids had fun anyway. Communication with the host was very slow.

Overall a lovely stay. Some details that could be improved: more than 4 dishwasher pellets for a four day stay with 12 adults and one infant.
Trash and recycling was full on arrival which made it difficult to dispose of trash and recycling we created.

The house was absolutely stunning and the pictures online failed to do the home justice.
Our group was especially pleased with the outdoor areas as we spent most of our time outside.
We had a chef come over one night and make us food. The kitchen was perfect for us being able to have a great meal while not getting in the way of the catering folks in the kitchen itself.

The exterior of the property was beautiful. Cool weather prevented using the pool, but the hot tub was very nice. The interior was comfortable and functional. There were some small maintenance things that could be accomplished to make things better. One of the water heaters was off when we arrived, but maintenance fixed it the next day.

Beautiful spacious house, just as advertised. Pool and hot tub are fantastic. The area has so much to do. After prompt responsiveness early in the week from management, there seems to have been a coverage problem in the office when we had a problem with the laundry. We couldn’t reach anyone for a couple of days. I’m sure the management will avoid that problem in the future — they were apologetic.

Thanks, we had a lovely time! This is a lovely and spacious home with lots of room for our large group. We ran a family auction night, played multiple cribbage games, swam, and lounged by the pool. Excellent hot tub! Lots of entertain us in the surrounding area, too.

This was perfect for the 5 grandchildren, ages 2-9, 8 adults and 2 grandparents. Lots of space to run around inside and out, space to get away and to work, huge kitchen and outdoor areas with lots of seating, and a well-maintained pool and hot tub. The pool temperature was perfect in late July. This is close to everything we wanted to see, with easy parking for our 4 vehicles.

Extended Family Vacation
Two grandparents, seven children/spouses and 9 grandchildren. All were very comfortably accommodated in the many bedrooms including the basement apartment. Loved the midcentury modern design and the beautiful grounds including the swimming pool and hot tub. Conveniently located to the beach and shopping. The whole family gave it a thumbs up!

Okay overall just be prepared and really read all the reviews.
Important to know:
- No AC
- 10 physical beds, some bunk or trundle (not 12 beds)
- Owners stay on property
- Propane must be purchased for the grill
- Linen is gray, not white
Our party of 11 adults spent a decent amount of our 3-night stay on the property. The backyard view is nice and the 10 beds were comfortable. Beware the owners stay on the property behind the pool and have a dog. The dog came out during our outside dinner, went to the bathroom, and we had to throw its toy to get it off the property. Parking on the street is recommended. Our midsize SUV barely fit through the driveway gate. This house does NOT have AC so keep this in mind if you are staying during warm months. The oven takes a very long time to cook and the grill requires propane.
Do not expect an early check-in or late check-out. Landscaping comes several times during the week/weekend so be prepared to see them in the front and backyard.
The property manager does her best to communicate professionally. There was a discrepancy in the number of beds being less than expected.

Great location
The house is in an awesome location, close to downtown La Jolla and the beaches, easy on and off the free way to get into San Diego, and in a beautiful neighborhood. The view from the back out over the canyon is beautiful and the backyard is awesome, very picturesque. My biggest complaint is that the pool is freezing. We were told there was a solar heating element to the pool but we were there for several bright sunny, hot days and you still couldn't get in the pool, so it's pretty much just for looks. The house is good for a big group, it does sleep a lot of people and pretty much every room has it's own bathroom, which is great. The house isn't quite as fancy as it appears online, which is fine, it doesn't look old or banged up inside. But a lot of the showers are old and finicky and several of the bedrooms (facing the sun) don't have any blinds.

Great holiday family reunion
After waiting almost two years to gather with extended family, this beautiful home in La Jolla was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas with our group of 16.
The large kitchen and seating were great for cooking at eating meals together. The view on the outdoor patio was unforgettable! The backyard is quite amazing, though we didn’t get to enjoy the pool or lounge areas too much with cooler, rainy December weather. We may need to return for a spring or summer reunion!
The beds were SO comfortable, and we all enjoyed the convenience of the en suite baths in most of the rooms.
The management staff was very responsive with a request for more towels.

Incredible spot for a large group weekend getaway
Such an elevated, gorgeous experience! This house had plenty of room both inside and outside - we had 12 women celebrating a bachelorette - and we enjoyed every square inch. Outside: the pool, the hot tub, the large outdoor seating areas, the VIEWS!!!!. Inside: the giant kitchen, cozy living rooms, and plenty of rooms to choose from. Note that there is no A/C (as is normal in this geographical location) but each room is outfitted with fans and lots of windows can be opened for air flow. We absolutely loved our time here and didn't want to leave. We will DEFINITELY be back!

It was a bit odd to have a group of people poking around our rooms for an hour while we were there and not super comfortable with them staying at the house even after we had to leave. Other than that, our stay was wonderful! Would recommend to anyone.
