The fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and nice wood cabinetry offers an open feel and views to the living area and ocean which will make preparing your meals during your stay a pleasure. The living area offers ocean views where you can sit and relax on the sofa, cozy chair, or leather recliner while watching the wall mounted flat screen TV with built in DVD player. The window seat with cushion and throw pillows makes the perfect spot for enjoying the views, sipping your morning coffee, or reading a good book. The living area also has a small bar with granite countertop and cabinet space where you can mix your favorite vacation beverages as well as a round table with four cushioned chairs for dining. Sliding doors lead from the living area to a small balcony with two chairs and a side table where you can watch the waves roll in and soak in the sunshine.
The master bedroom has amazing Kiawah ocean views, a king bed with wicker headboard and elite pillow top mattress, a reading chair, and a wall mounted TV. The bathroom, which you can access from the bedroom and the hallway, has been refinished with new sinks, granite countertops, a large tiled shower with a hand held spray and regular shower head and two corner seats.
This villa is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet.

This condo is pretty nice and has a lovely view of the ocean. However, it needs some maintenance and the property mgr is difficult to deal with. The AC wasn’t working when we got there, water was running out onto the floor. We had to change units that night and move back next day; very little soap in unit—never got more; power outage due to storm added to our frustration with the place.

Beautiful ocean view of the beach. Great location. However, upon arrival to the condo, we encountered many issues:
-the oven door would not open
-kitchen faucet sprayed water all over counter
-kitchen plumbing leaked under cabinet all over floor
-bathroom sink next to toilet would not drain
-hair dryer sitting in water under bathroom sink next to shower
-black mold covered shower head
-black mold on ceiling outside shower door
-screen in balcony had 6 inch tear
-safe in closet rusted, paint peeling & would not lock
-water drip from ceiling in closet
-mold surrounding AC vents in ceiling
-bed has ridge in middle & sloped to sides
-pots & pans old & non stick coating flaking off only skillet
-water drip under front left side corner of refrigerator
-no on site recycling
Reservations required in advance for restaurants on the island.
We had multiple visits from maintenance & cleaning crew to attempt to rectify some of the issues.
This was our 1st time to vacation on Kiawah Island.

This property was more than expected. It is nicely furnished and appointed, clean and well maintained. The best part of the property are the two blue chairs with a table on the porch. They are tall so you are able to see over the rail with views expanding the entire beach front. It is a perfect spot for watching the sun rise.

Overall, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.The villa is familiar to us from prior visits, and as such, always feels like coming back home. A few cobwebs in the occasional corner but clean enough for us. The range worked well but the control markings are worn away, so using its functions involves a fair amount of guesswork and intuition. Having lived in the Low Country it's never really a surprise to see "palmetto bugs"(cockroaches) roving about like a pack of feral chihuahuas, but it's still worrisome as you're going to bed. I get it: they're indigenous, ubiquitous. You might want to decrease their numbers(for a while) though. Thanks for another great week. Looking forward to returning in the Spring.

It's very comfortable and we appreciated that it wasn't crowded with furniture. The kitchen was well equipped enough for light cooking. The countertop microwave could use an update as the turntable didn't function. The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated and there were plenty of towels for our stay. We were glad to have start up paper and cleaning products as well as 2 beach chairs which we didn't expect. The oceanfront view is outstanding and seeing the morning sun and moon rise over the water was the highlight. We'd be happy to stay here again in the future.

Nice unit, direct ocean front, easy beach access, very quiet. If you're a golfer it's a great location. We went to beach nearly every morn just to watch the sunrise. This unit was not as well appointed as other VRBO units we've rented in past trips. The negative would be, not as clean as we would have liked and the mattress was horrible. Would we stay here again? Yes, if the mattress was changed out

The property was perfect for a short stay. Decor was tasteful. The unit was clean and everything in place. It was unseasonably cool when we there, so we didn't take advantage of the deck. Howeyer, the ocean view from inside made up for that. No complaints at all. Hoping to return before to long.

Fortunately, the weather was kinder and being outside was no bother. This was our 5th stay on Kiawah and the 1st time we sprang for "beach front." Obviously, the soothing sounds of the surf were drowned out by the crew re-facing the cedar siding right next to us--in fact, two of their ladders spent the week plastered in front of our bedroom windows :(
We realize these things need to get done, nevertheless, it was a bit of a bummer for us. Will learn to question rental agents better in the future since there was no indication that any improvements of the sort were going on when requesting info

It is a perfect location-easy access for walks on the beach and to bike trails, as well as for a walk over to East Beach for a sandwich. First time visitors attending a Mid-December wedding. Loved the island, the condo and all of the amenities. Everything you need is nearby; you don't have to leave the island. Condo is just right for a couple's getaway. Double sized shower, lots of drawer space in baths & bedroom, large walk in closet, comfy king bed, and separate 1/2 bath give it perfection. Thank you for providing extra towels and pillows. Could use a pair of tongs in the kitchen. Otherwise, all well-equipped. Will definitely plan on coming back.

First of all, 5 stars for Akers Ellis Property Management! The check-in process is very convenient, they responded to all issues very quickly and went above and beyond to address our concerns. We were very impressed with Akers Ellis late night delivery of dry ice to address the refrigerator issue and a bottle of chilled wine to replace our bottle that had gone warm!! We have visited Kiawah Island many times and have stayed in several of the Windswept units, all with recent updates and upscale appointments. From the description and photos of 4429 Windswept, we anticipated that this unit would meet our high expectations. Unfortunately the entire unit is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint and also needs a real deep cleaning. Baseboards and many of the wall decorations had a thick layer of dust and I had to use half a bottle of Tilex to remove the mildew in the shower. Rugs, bedding and bedding linens are way past their useful life, the refrigerator struggled to stay cold, the kitchen granite is cracked at the seam and the touchpads on the microwave and settings on the stove knobs are practically worn off. And, please, don't get me started on the "palmetto" bugs we had to kill.(Ughhhh!) Although the unit's location is perfect and the view is amazing, in its present condition, we really can not recommend it to other vacationers.
