Nice apartment, easy access to train and good price.

Very comfortable apartment with a lovely bed. Huge TV. Good, if small, kitchen. Washing machine. Very close to Takeda station, which was very useful.

It would have been nice to have more crockery and cutlery than just enough for 2. Also cups were tiny, so ideally a couple of mugs would have been nice.

Thoughtfully designed apartment close to Takeda train station

Zen Kyoto Hotel and Apartment made our winter here super comfortable. The room is thoughtfully designed with everything you need for both short and longer stays. The kitchen is well equipped. Heating works well. There's a washing machine - there's no dryer but the bathroom has a dehumidifying clothes drying setting that dries your clothes in a few hours. Better than a dryer as it doesn't shrink your sweaters! The staff is lovely. The building is a short easy walk to the train station. Great value for money. We'd definitely stay again.

There's not much to do within walking distance. You'll always catch the train

Wenn Kyoto, dann dieses Hotel

Einfaches und sehr sauberes Hotel. Es liegt außerhalb vom Kyoto Zentrum und sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Station ist in unmittelbarer Nähe und man braucht nur 2 Haltestellen zur Kyoto Station.

In der Nähe gibt es nur ein paar Supermärkte und nichts, was man den Tag über machen kann.

良かったです！

烏丸線始発駅の竹田駅が最寄りのため、烏丸線沿線どこへ行くにも座れて便利でした。スーパーや100円ショップも少し歩けばあるため、食材の買い出しにも良かったです。キッチンもあるため、滞在中の食費が浮きました。急な宿泊人数変更（1人→2人）にも関わらず対応頂きありがたかったです。

洗濯洗剤が２日間２人の宿泊でお試し用サイズで2つ置いていただいてましたが、4つほど（人数分×日数分）置いていたただけたらもっと良かったかと思います。有料でもいいので、売っていただいてもありがたいかと思います。

Good quite place near station

Good location, although not many amenities around, the station is very close it can you to kyoto station within minutes. The rooms are spacious with good value. the staff are very helpful and friendly!

i remember it was listed in booking.com that the rooms have optional breakfast, but uppon arriving they said it used to be one year ago, and the cafe only serve as a bar. in the rooms i booked is listed to have balconies. but only one room provided with balcony.

The hotel is beautiful and I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet area just a few blocks from a main road and very close to local subway for easy and quick travel into the city. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean.

If you need a cheap but clean place to stay with lots of room and friendly staff, this is it!

The apartment offered a lot of room and was very clean. We spent 10 nights there and were happy to have enough room to relax on the couch rather then having just the bed or a chair after a long day walking around.

This is a minor downside but most japanese restaurants where all located about 20 minutes walking from the apartment. Not an issue if you enjoy walking but going for dinner did require some planning rather than just strolling around the neighborhood.

An amazing suite for 4 in Kyoto

We booked a suite for four people. The room was fantastic. We loved the traditional elements like a tatami section. There was plenty of room for 4. The facilities are great. There’s a washing machine and the shower room can be made into a drying room. The staff were helpful and let us park our bikes in the staff parking area. It’s a close walk to the station too.

We stayed for three nights and would have been good to have the room be cleaned once but this wasn’t too big of an issue. A tv with apps like Netflix etc

I would highly it for families.

The room was large for a family of 4 with two teenage children. It was very close to the station and also had parking for the hire car. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The aircon had an opening outside so we could hear voices like a window was open? It was quite cold so we slept with the air con/heater on - which unfortunately blows into your face as you sleep.

Very, very comfortable and would absolutely come stay again.

It really is a great location. Takeda station connects two different train lines, one which can take you to Kyoto, and another that can go to Nara. As a home base, it was a great starting point. The actual room itself is extremely comfortable as well, and the convenience can’t be beat for a long stay.

Although the instruction manuals are very well written and clear, there was some confusion with the washing machine. After some thinking, we realized the water faucet leading to the machine was shut off. After twisting it open, the washing machine worked perfectly. Also, the heater was a little difficult to figure out, too.

Good location a little out of the city centre

This was close to the subway station. It was around a 10mins train ride away from kyoto city centre and a 5min walk. The apartment itself was perfect it had a nice large living space and a nice walk in closet for us to hang our clothes and coats. The staff were very nice and spoke English.

Muy cómodo Apartahotel, tiene lavadora propia y es amplio

El personal súper atento, nos trajeron hasta perchas adicionales y una barra para tender.

No tiene persianas, se hace de día y entra toda la luz. Hay algo de ruido de la estación de tren/metro que pasa al lado.

Great hotel with laundry machine, ideal for a long stay, with direct access to 2 metro lines

Friendly staff, fully equipped room (I mean everything, from a large fridge to humidifier to washing), everything is clean, delicious breakfast and there is even a koi fish pond! I really like the hotel.

The hotel is right next to "Tekeda" station which gives access to 2 metro lines. It is very convenient but it means always paying 260yen to go to city center. It's not a minus point at all but just saying it for travellers who want to save on public transportation.

Great Beds, v quiet, well kitted out apartment! Amazing value! Nice little bar in hotel, v friendly bar man & locals, we had some beers via google translate!!!

It was v good, my only gripe.. no dryer for the washing machine.

The staff was very attentive. The room was very nice. Im glad they had netflix.

The bedding was a little to stiff for me. The housekeeping accidentally took my spare key.

Clean room with all the amenities we needed, fridge, kitchen, washing machine. I enjoyed the complimentary pyjamas, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste and rasor. The stuff was super friendly and nice. Not in the heart of Kyoto but a few stops away by train. Highly recommended.
