Come enjoy an all season vacation home sitting quaintly on a canal just off the Indian River!

This lovely ranch style home can sleep 6-8 and has 1.5 baths. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen and a bunk bed, and one with a full bed. There is also a pull out queen sofa bed in the family room. It has a nice open floor plan and includes TV's in the living room and master bedroom, including Satellite Dish and WIFI. The Laundry Room has a washer and dryer.

The Cottage features a 75 foot dock for your boating needs and a nice size deck with a charcoal grill to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Located conveniently between the beautiful Burt and Mullett Lakes, this home is close to many attractions including Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island and Mackinac Bridge. Mackinac Island can be accessed by boat as well through the Indian River waterway.

This vacation home is a great location to enjoy Northern Michigan adventures all season long. In the summer enjoy fun on the water, hiking, bike trails, golfing and taking a stroll downtown to experience the fine dining, quaint shops and other entertainment within walking distance. Marinas are close by and offer boat rentals.
In the fall enjoy the Fall colors by taking a drive through the Tunnel Of Trees at Harbor Springs.
For winter enjoy snowmobiling on the trail system a couple of blocks away, ice fishing and other winter activities.

Small dogs and cats are allowed for a small fee. This is a non-smoking home.

The house is nice. Upgrades to the bed sizes would be great. And the outside landscaping Is all weeds, including when you walk to the front door. Removal of all landscaping would look nicer than the weeds. Great location and communication with the owner.

It was in a good location. Had some great space but couldn't use Four Seasons room with carpet and the bedrooms I kept my shoes on and did not let my luggage sit on the floor. The pet odor was very intense. I'm glad I didn't bring my pet. He does not have accidents but he would have learned some bad habits there. I hate to leave a bad review but I do not want anyone else to experience what we did. Just a couple other minor issues like no hooks in the bathroom and the screen door knob falling apart. Most of the smoke alarms have been removed. The TV in the bedroom didn't work because the remote batteries were very corroded.

We stayed over the long 4th of July weekend and the house served the purpose we were looking for. It has an amazing backyard with deck and boat dock, making it a great location! I feel the home is in need of several updates/upgrades along with a few minor issues that we discussed with the owner. Friendly neighbors, easy to launch boat at Indian River Marina, which is within walking distance.

Our stay in Indian River was all we could have asked for. The house was in a great location. It was clean and had been carefully thought out to allow us to have all of the comforts of home. It even came with a card table and chairs - perfect for our Euchre nights! We hope to be back!

This is was our second time stay at this home and and it was just as great as the first time. We will be staying here again. We love how welcomed and relaxed we feel coming into this home. The owner is always easy to reach with questions. The neighbors are always friendly and helpful. We love that they offer the amount of days we need for our stays and, we don’t have to do it by the week or the month. Thank you for another wonderful stay in your home!!

We enjoyed enjoyed the prompt and organized host Kris. This was our second time renting. Communications were timely and checking in/out extremely organized! Host is top notch and quickly responded to any questions we had. Property in prime location to Chain of Lakes and neighbors very nice. House has had several updates and four season room is the perfect spot for coffee and watching the sun rise.

Weather was beautiful ! Needed another day or two to explore the beautiful lakes! The marina close by was so handy to keep our truck and trailer and the canal was perfect for quick access to boat!

This home is exactly as pictured. We had a great stay and no issues. Well there was one, we could not get the TV to work. Tried it one time and then never bothered again and didn't miss it! Great neighbors too!

Nice size ranch that accommodated our family and their friends. There was 8 of us and we had plenty of room. We loved that we could walk right out to the deck and get on our boat to enjoy the beautiful surroundings on the river. Very friendly neighbors. Everyone made you feel welcome!

House was nice but could use air conditioning. TV did not work when we arrived, but Dish was able to fix it. Refridgerator was huge and looked brand new. Bathrooms were updated and looked nice. Could use more lighting throughout the house as it was dark in places. Overall very good.

The overall location was great. Easy access to Burt and Mullet lakes. Having a place to keep the boat in the water was very convenient. The house could have been cleaner but it wasn’t dirty either. The living room satellite didn’t work so we had to buy dvd’s which was a headache. When we contacted the property owner they suggested we call their cable provider which was weird. There was also a man in the background that sounded very annoyed and it was almost like he didn’t believe us that the cable didn’t work. Property was great but the hosts need a lot more experience dealing with renters.

Stayed for a fishing tournament. Great location, boat and truck fit perfectly in the driveway. Kids enjoyed the house and outdoor area. Neighbors were very nice. Would absolutely stay again.

Unfortunately extended travelled to Indian River for a death in the family. This home was absolutely perfect for us! Very welcoming, spacious, and clean. Others had alternate accommodations but chose to visit our “home” to remember our son as it was so warm and inviting! Thank you Shari for everything!

Rented for 2 night over New Years to go skiing at Nubs Nob. Very clean and comfy furniture to lounge on and watch the big games. This was perfect for a family of 5 (all adults), 30 min from Nubs & The Highlands. We would definately stay here again. Thank you Kris for quickly answering all my questions before our stay.

The house was extremely clean, everything we needed was included. Property owner was extremely quick to reply to all my inquires. The neighbors were very friendly. My only negative was the location being so close to the freeway that you could see the vehicles from the house and you could hear the traffic all day and night. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We were looking for somewhere to stay where we could keep our boat right in the water. House was located between both mullet and burt so wasn't far to get to either. House was clean and comfortable and big enough to sleep 8. The owners were helpful with all our questions since it was our first time on indian river. The only thing that would have been nice to have was a fireplace.

We rented this house for a weekend away over the 4th of July. It was absolutely perfect. We had 6 people, all couples with additional guests on other evening who stopped by for dinner. We all fit at the house easily. The location was perfectly located off of indian river between Burt and Mullet which gave us easy access by boat to different locations daily. The dock frontage was amazing and allowed us to keep our boat in the water for the entire trip. We more than look forward to staying here again in the future and highly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in the Inidan River area.
