About this villa rental
This charming house is one of the original waterfront properties to be built in Cala d'Or in a quiet area with large rooms, many terraces and spectacular views. It is an old house which is reflected in the price, but is full of atmosphere and charm. It has 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (one bathroom was renovated 2014 and one in 2017), top floor huge master bedroom and bathroom with own terrace, middle street level floor has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en-suite (new) and one small twin bedroom, and the ground pool level floor has one bedroom with en-suite shower, one small twin bedroom and another shower leading to the bar area and pool. large swimming pool surrounded by terraces and gardens, steps into the sea, overlooking the entrance to the harbour and out to sea. Always something new to see as the boats come and go from and to the Marina. The center of Cala D'Or with it's shops, bars and restaurants is a mere 5 minute flat walk as are the two closest beaches, which means that a car is not necessary for this property as everything is close by. The house has WIFI. Beach towels are provided.

The property is not a new house a fact that should be taken into consideration hence the reasonable price . It is charming, comfortable and superbly located with fantastic breathtaking views.
Outside:Stunning views to the harbour entrance and out to sea. Very large swimming pool, pool bar, barbeque by the porch, outdoor furniture, gardens, sunbathing areas. There is direct access to the sea.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service:
Linen change is done weekly. Included in the price: cleaning on arrival/departure and weekly linen change. BEACH TOWELS ARE NOW PROVIDED so the towels provided in the bedrooms are for bathroom use only. Extra cleaning can be ordered and paid for locally.
Garbage collection is nightly from big green containers just across from the house. Garbage should be put in tied bags nightly by yourselves to save you from ants, bad smells and bacteria.

We stayed for a week with grandparents and teenagers and it was the perfect house for all of us. Beautiful location and loved the decor and style of the house. Outside area was great and we loved the access into the sea. Very easy to get into Cala D’Or and the marina and would highly recommend. Would love to come back. Thanks also to Maria our host who was excellent and very responsive.

After retiring from the UK Fire Service after 30 years front line service at one of the busiest stations in the UK, staying at Maria's villa was a celebration of that for my family and some friends.
Maria makes it clear that the house is older than many but it certainly has character, in a very good way. Frankly though, if you can find a property along the coastline of Cala D'Or which sleeps so many, has such truly stunning views, such close proximity to the sea, town centre and beach, gets the full sun for 9 hours of the day (as yes there was plenty of shade for us when we wanted it), has large covered seating outside for eating and relaxing, plenty of car parking, is so quiet and relaxing yet has plenty going on to keep you occupied if you want it (boats etc going in and out of the harbour) then I'd be amazed, particularly for what you pay here.
At the end of the day, we and our guests absolutely loved the place and just couldn't get enough of the outside space especially, we just couldn't imagine it being any better and that's exactly why we wanted to stay there in the first place.
We miss it terribly already...

Firstly location for the town centre and Marina was ideal. The pool area was great with fab views and as a family we enjoyed spending our days out there.
However, the inside of the villa was very disappointing. The basement bedrooms smelt very damp, and overall were very tired and dated. The kitchen was also poor, with a drawer cover missing and old crockery - some of which was dirty when we arrived.
Sadly 2 of our family members had to move out of the villa for our last two nights due to a cockroach infestation in a bathroom, which we had to report twice. Bed linen and towels could do with updating.
The key box was very difficult to open and needs replacing as mentioned in previous reviews.
Overall we were disappointed as the villa is in a fantastic area and has so much potential.

The oldstyle Villa is an amazing property. Location and sea view is stunning. Some modernization should be done in the near future. However, he communication with Maria is very, very good and trustworthy.

The house, which is old, is placed beautifully by the sea with nice view. Clean pool, nice lawn, sun beds.
Something must be repaired:
The keybox beside the front door was hard to open.
One of the toilets in the basement did not flush.
The drawers in the kitchen were damaged. Must be repaired.
There were only cold water in the sink in the other bathroom in the basement.
We think there were too many things standing around on tables etc. hard to find place when seating , playing cards etc. possible to move, but why not take away half of it hen the house is rented.
Coffemacine did not work, too old. Should not be there.
We misses a Brooke to use outside. It was windy, and lots were falling from the trees.

Firstly, this is a beautiful villa. It may be older than most but you will not beat the views and location for the price you pay. Visited in June 22, 8 adults, ranging from early 20's to late 50's. All had a fantastic time.
Pool area is great. If it gets too hot usually a cooling breeze in the afternoon. We spent the majority of our time there during the day and sometimes late at night, pool area lights up between 10 and 12.
House inside was big enough for our party of 8. Would be a bit more cramped with anymore in our opinion.
Clean and tidy throughout, no complaints.
Surrounding area is within easy walking distance. 10 minutes to Cala D'or centre, about 15/20 to the marina. Both great places to spend the night. Didn't have a bad meal all holiday. Fernando's restaurant was a great place for a last night meal. Many other good restaurants, too many to mention. Lots of steak, seafood etc at pretty reasonable prices. Expected marina to be more expensive but it isn't.
Lots of decent bars as well with live music, Dugans Irish bar was great.
Beautiful beaches again within walking distance.
Boat trip, dolphin watching, was pretty good.
Overall it was a brilliant holiday, communication with host, Maria, was perfect.
If I was to be very, very picky!
Needs a new lock box and kitchen could be bigger.
Not a lot wrong then I'd think you'd agree.

The location and views from this property are quite simply incredible. I spent many hours enjoying watching the boats cruise in and out of marina. Having this and the marina, town centre, beach & supermarkets all within a 10 minute walk is really handy. The building is quite old as the host describes but it has lots of charm agreed. Bath Towels, Beach Towels and all the amenities you could really ask for were provided, and pool well serviced regularly in the morning. We had a power cut on one occasion - the host sorted this with an electrician round within a couple hours - very attentive.
Only 1 room is air-conditioned and this is worth bearing in mind, and all beds are singles - this was no problem for us at all.
The place really was fantastic.

The villa is very Spanish and full of interesting items/furniture. It is very well stocked with plates ect and utensils many glasses but lacks wine glasses. The towels and bedding are very clean and fresh. We were a little misled by the double bedrooms which are all twins but this is in the interpretation! The location is superb with the access to the sea and the views were amazing also easy walking distance to town beach and marina.

The villa is perfectly located with fabulous views and good sized pool. The restaurants and shops are a short walk with the marina about 10 minutes away.

Large and cosy villa with perfect location, quiet but still close to all the restaurants in the village. Short distance to the harbour and the small wonderful Cala Petit beach. The house was great in May, but would probably need aircondition in more sleeping rooms during a hot summer period. The house was perfect for our family of three generations, room for everyone to retire and relax. The kitchen might need some refurbishment but the price is compensating for an old house. The situation of the pool is wonderful with a stunning view over the sea. It is also possible to take a swim in the blue Mediterranean via some steps direct from the garden. All in all we can only give this house and the host Maria our best recommendations. Kind regards Thomas and Jane (Denmark).

We recently returned from a fantastic week-long stay in this beautiful villa. The views are breath-taking, the pool is a fantastic size and the location is spot on, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Cala D'Or and the marina (perfect for my grandparents). There are even steps down to the sea so you can go for a dip in the crystal clear water.The villa is obviously a loved home, not just another holiday rental, and we really liked that it had a traditional Spanish feel rather than being super-modern and plain. The owner has furnished it with care and we spent our week spotting new, quirky pieces of furniture and decor. It is also well-equipped. You will find more crockery than you could ever need and plenty of cooking utensils, perfect if you plan to eat lunch or have any dinners in. The oven was simple to use, there are two dishwashers and we even fired up the BBQ (although this is worn and tricky to use). Some bedrooms and bathrooms are more dated than others, but this is stated in the listing and reflected in the price - it isn't a modern house and we knew to expect this. There are probably three really nice bedrooms of a decent size with the remaining being smaller and more basic. Some of us had better bathrooms, so we tended to share these. Eleven adults stayed in total and we never felt like we were on top of each other.Wendy, who handled the booking, was very helpful. She took the time to answer all of my questions and we even spoke on the phone prior to booking. This was great as I was a little nervous booking a villa for the first time. Wendy also went out of her way to resolve an issue with the safe which was much appreciated.All-in, we had a truly memorable family holiday here. The location and views blew us away and we hope to return again one day. Thank you!

The price is good for this type of property as it is fairly old . The position is unique and there is a large pool which is fabulous . It could do with a few more fans as no air con in downstairs . As it is set on three floors it’s ideal for a couple of families or a big family . The owner has decided to leave her own personal photos etc . I personally would pack them away during the letting season . A couple of chairs and sun beds could be replaced as quite old . If you don’t need a fancy kitchen or fancy bathrooms this is a fabulous house . We would return
