This immaculate two-bedroom/one-bath vacation rental is situated on the shores of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. It features comfortable accommodations and stunning wide-water and mountain views! Perfect for a family getaway, Cedar Key Cabin includes one queen-size bed, two twins TV, VCR, DirectTV, internet access, central heating and air-conditioning, open beams, and hardwood floors. The home sleeps 4 persons comfortably.

Outdoors there's a deck with a charcoal grill and patio furniture. And there's a shared dock which is great for swimming and boating. Cedar Key Cabin is near the mountains and the Smith Mountain Lake dam and also located in a "NO WAKE" cove which is ideal for swimming.

Welcome: Cedar Key Cabins are two immaculate vacation rentals located on the shores of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. In addition to comfortable accommodations, you'll also enjoy stunning wide-water and mountain views!

Smith Mountain Lake is a boater's and fisherman's paradise. There are 500 miles of shoreline on this 40 mile long, 20,000 acre lake. If you have your own boat, you can launch it at nearby Mitchell's Point Marina and dock it at the Cabin's dock. Boat rentals and wave runners are available at several lake locations. From our location it is about 1000 feet to the main channel of the lake. For the fisherman, we are located on Witcher Creek where the stripers spawn. The lake is stocked with bass, muskies, northern pike, and other small game fish.

Dog friendly!: Dogs are allowed on the property and have a wonderful time at the lake. However, please do not leave them alone. Even though your dog may be comfortable alone at home, dogs are often frightened when left in a strange place and can cause substantial damage. Cats are not allowed.

GUESTS SHOULD BRING LINENS (ONE QUEEN ANDTWO TWIN BEDS) BATH TOWELS, WASHCLOTHS, DISH TOWELS, ETC. Linens may be provided for an additional $80.00 fee.

We had multiple families rent cabins in this area. Our stay in cabin 7 was perfect! The property was super clean and had everything we needed. The no wake cove is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding or just floating. 10/10 for sure!

What a lovely spot on the lake. Quiet area in a calm low traffic part of the lake and a beautiful view of the nature preserve across the lake. We had several extended family get various cabins so enjoyed a family vacation while also having our own space. Cabin was clean and had all the dishes and pans we needed, including a crockpot. There was a dock we could store our boat. The step to the lake are steep and somewhat treacherous but there is another winding gravel road you can walk or take a golf cart or even drop someone in a car though it’s hard to turn around. We dropped our boat at Mitchel’s Point marina for $5 and parked the trailer in the large lot above the cabins. Front door latch didn’t work but just needed to keep it locked and the combination lock made it easier. Sliding glass door is a little difficult to open. Beds are comfortable. We will definitely be back!

We always love staying in Cabin 7 and we had beautiful weather on this particular trip. The views of the lake and mountains are breathtaking and we feel immediate relaxation when we arrive at Cedar Key. Can't wait to return for our next trip!

Great spot in the mountains. Little traffic around. The cove is calm. Boat rentals within 5-15 minutes depending on where you want to go. Cabin is well stocked with cooking supplies. It was overall really lovely and we would enjoy coming back.

This cabin is exactly what a cabin is supposed to be! It has a beautifully rustic charm, with comfy beds, a stocked kitchen & a wonderful deck with a great view of the lake! And the lake…and the dock…perfection! We spent 90% of our time on and in the water! And truly enjoyed our stay!

Great first visit to Smith Mountain Lake! The cabin was wonderful. It was clean, beds were comfortable, inviting dock, excellent lake/mountain view, and a deck to enjoy. Location is perfect for some educational sightseeing. Communication with the owner is 100% quick and effective. We will return!

The property was perfect to spend a few days away! The view of the lake couldn't have been better. The cabin was well maintained and perfect for a short stay away from home. Would definitely book at this cabin again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We did go at the end of April, so it was not ”prime” time. We have two older dogs and the walk down to the lake via walkway was a bit hard for them. The cabin has a fantastic view of the lake. We both enjoyed being a bit further out from all the hustle and bustle and being in the woods. We saw plenty of wildlife and the fishing was great. The cabin itself could have been a bit cleaner and the window in the shower/tub area is sketchy. It needs to have some sort of yard art, bush, something there so you feel a little better about needing to open the window. There is no screen on it and no fan in the bathroom. Other than that, very pleased.

This was a weekend getaway for my son grandson and me. Beautiful area, and Joan was terrific to work with. Stairs to the waterfront are a little difficult for a toddler, but there is a roadway to go down there is easier. Overall nice quiet peaceful place to spend the weekend.

Well equipped older cabin close to the lake. Cabin could use an updating. Sliding door no longer locked. Front door wouldn’t lock. Cabins on both sides.,and right in front. If you’re looking for privacy, this isn’t the place for you. If you have a dog, it’s a great place because everyone has them. Walk down to the lake was a bit strenuous. The deck was very nice to sit out on. The beds could be replaced. They’re hard, and very noisy. It was just me and my husband, we’re the outdoorsy type, and we left early.
