We invite you to enjoy our home away from home located on the desirable West Side of Cedar Creek Lake only 60 miles from downtown Dallas! The home is an entertainer's dream with a covered deck cooled by ceiling fans and a breeze off the lake! Steps lead to a hammock for napping on a lazy day or looking out on a beautifully treed yard sloping down to the lake. There is a boat dock with a top sunning deck. You can gaze at the stars or watch the gorgeous sunsets over the lake! While some may want to relax on the deck with a cup of coffee or a cocktail or swim and fish off the dock, others can enjoy a family adventure on the calm waters. Please note that in the very late summer, the water depth at our dock is sometimes more shallow if we have not had rain.
Inside you will notice the breathtaking, panoramic open water view through the large windows while enjoying the ambiance set by the vaulted cedar ceiling and beams and beautiful decor. The open concept living/dining areas lead directly to the outdoors, so you are only steps from the lake! The living area is airy and comfortable. The well-stocked kitchen has plenty of storage and is open to the living and dining areas, including an eat-in bar and large farmhouse table that seats 10 where you can enjoy meals all while enjoying the gorgeous view of the lake! There is a laundry room with full-sized W/D for your use. Three large bedrooms in the main house are designed with comfort and function in mind. All bedrooms have a large private bath, and there is an additional full bath in the hall. The master has a gorgeous view of the lake and a king bed. Bedroom #2 has 2 queen beds, while bedroom #3 has a queen bed plus a bunk bed set.
Our detached guest room with bath has an additional queen bed. Please note that our home is not designed to hold more than the full capacity of 13 guests, so weddings or parties (loud music) are not allowed. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, and we want to be good neighbors.
We are sorry, but no pets are allowed. There is a custom built fire pit outside.
Bring the grill master and/or chef and enjoy a gas grill and large convection oven in addition to a refrigerator. Some condiments and spices are stocked. A 12-cup coffeemaker with carafe will keep your coffee hot, and we also provide a Keurig coffeemaker.
In addition to all of the water views and activities, this home offers a great location to venture off to Canton for a day at the flea market (one hour drive), Malakoff or Athens for antiquing, or Seven Points and Gun Barrel for a night out for dinner, movie theater, bingo or the Whatz-up Family Recreation Park for the kids (big and small). We even have our own local brewery with great craft beers and food as well as Triple N Winery with live music. The wonderful, private location and calm waters can provide the backdrop for a romantic anniversary or couples getaway, a holiday retreat, or a nice family vacation any time of the year. Either way, you'll make unforgettable memories.

Stayed for 5 days 4 nights and not a single complaint at all. Everything was great with the house and property. We caught several fish, water is calm in the area even when lake is white capping. Area is quite and not much lake traffic at all. Great stay we had 13 total and plenty of space and bathrooms are all a full bath. Will stay again

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. This was the best stocked kitchen and simplest check-out we've ever had in a vacation rental. Communicating with the owner, Lori, was easy and she was quick to respond to questions. We all wished we could stay another week!

We stayed here Wed thru Sun for our daughters wedding which was at a house in the same neighborhood. The house was perfect and beautiful. The yard is huge and has a fabulous fire pit and dock. The living area is a wonderful size and those recliners! OMG so comfortable. The main bedroom is on one side of the house with the other 2 rooms in the other part of the house. The detached room w/bathroom worked out great for a younger married couple in our group. The communication with the owners was great and very understanding that we had a crazy weekend with a wedding. Absolutely will stay here again and recommend to others headed to Cedar Creek Lake.

We picked this house because it had so many bathrooms, and we knew everyone would be getting ready for our son's wedding! The bonus is that this was a perfect house! Beautiful quiet area, and the hosts thought of everything to make our stay exceptional!!! And with 7 women getting ready for a wedding it was the perfect space!!! We came for a family reunion but spent quite late bit of time at this lovely home visiting with immediate family & friend. Beautiful spot with all the amenities. The lake house is well equipped for families and the owners provide extra touches that made us all feel welcome. we had 5 adults and 6 kids under 12 in our party. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, everyone had space for privacy. The common spaces are large and comfortable. The lake was low while we were they, but we were still able enjoy it and the other outdoor games at the property. There was a maintenance issue while we were there, but the owners were responsive and had everything resolved in a timely manner.

Family celebration
This home was a wonderful place for our family to stay. The home was large enough for us to all be comfortable and have plenty of space. There were 7 adults and 2 children and we never felt cramped. The kids loved the big yard to run around in. We picked this location because it was somewhat between Canton and Arlington. We enjoyed Canton and also got to go to a Rangers game. We will definitely consider this home again!

We were extremely pleased with this home. The home was very clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated and a well stocked kitchen. The large backyard was great for the kids. There is a large back porch to congregate and enjoy the lake.

Excellent Lake House Escape
This rental fit our group perfectly. We had 7 adults and 3 children. There was a place for everyone at the table and the family room was roomy and comfortable. Some places say they sleep 10, but that often means someone is sleeping on an uncomfortable cot or sofa bed. This house had a comfortable bed for everyone. We enjoyed spending time on the back porch, the fire pit and the dock. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with all the kitchenware we needed. The owners left snacks for us, which were a big hit with the kids. This place was beautiful and comfortable. We felt very at home here. The owners were great and it was good to talk to the owners rather than a management company.

Long awaited family gathering after covid delay
Our family had stayed at this lovely property in 2019 and then had to cancel our return visit in 2020 due to the covid lockdown. Finally, after a long delay we were able to return in September, 2021, with our children and grandchildren. It's the perfect place to make life-long memories and share precious moments together! Sunrises and sunsets on the dock, fishing with our grandson, relaxing in the hammock, playing games, laughing and having fun, sharing meals cooked outside on the grill ... the list goes on and on. The owners go out of their way to help you have a wonderful visit!

This property and the view are exactly as represented. The kitchen and the home are incredibly well stocked - in fact, in my many VRBO rentals, I have never found one so complete! Our hosts were communicative and thorough. We had a marvelous time and will be back next year.

Lake Tresure
The property was exactly as described. Beds were very comfortable, the AC worked great and lots of room for a lot of people to sit in the family room. The kitchen was the best equipped of any of the places we have stayed. Everything from plates, glasses, silverware, storage containers to pots, pans and skillets. Lots of towels and linens available. There were also spices and condiments available for use. Lots of games for people to enjoy. The grill and fire pit worked great and the owner left all the things needed for s’mores. We loved the view of the lake from the back porch, especially in the mornings and evenings. The boathouse is a huge plus as we rented a Triton deck boat and could use the lift at night to secure it. The house is located on the lake about 2 miles from the grocery store and 7 minutes by water to Lone Star gas and store. The water at the boathouse was about 4 ft deep but this worked great for our grandkids who ranged from 4-11 yrs old. I could go on and on about the positives of this lake house. We had no negatives. We will rent this again.

Wonderful time at the lake
Our family had a wonderful time at Rick and Lori's lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. First of all, Lori was an amazing host, with quick responses to questions and attention to the details and special touches, including a welcome board and snack baskets with lots of goodies and s'mores supplies.
The house was perfect, with plenty of beds and bathrooms (with wonderful walk-in showers and jetted/garden tubs), nice kitchen, spacious family room, large dining table, and huge, fantastic back porch with ceiling fans. The real winner, though, was the back yard leading to the lake and dock/pier with elevated deck. The views were amazing, and we were able to dock our pontoon rental for breaks during the day. The custom fire pit with plentiful adirondack chairs was nice, and there is already wood on site for those s'mores.
I highly recommend this VRBO rental as a nice, relaxing property, and also because of wonderful and responsive hosts.

Beautiful lake house with lots of "extras"
We had a wonderful Easter weekend here! It is beautifully updated, very clean and has an amazing yard, huge porch and deck over the boathouse to enjoy the outdoors. Each room was so comfortable and having bathrooms in each room (plus an extra full bath) was so nice! Having the detached bedroom/bathroom for grandma was perfect too. There are lots of little touches that just set it apart...kitchen stocked well, basket of packaged snacks, smores ingredients and skewers, waters by each bed, plenty of linens/blankets, etc. Lori even offered the option to check in early and let us know we did not need to rush out the day we had to leave. That is always so appreciated! We loved this house and hope to return sometime soon!

Great relaxing place to stay-
The communication from the owners from beginning to end was so appreciated. Made the experience even better. We were not sure what to expect since we had never heard of Tool, Texas and live 90 minutes away. The house and yard are exactly as pictured and described. When we walked in the house we were so excited. It was so updated, clean, and the space was perfect for our family. Everyone had their own room and bathroom. Our adult son even had a private detached bed and bath which he was grateful for to get a break from our 3 and 5 year old grand kids. The back yard was amazing. The 2 story deck so relaxing and the fire pit perfect to make s'mores and enjoy the evening by the lake. We stayed 3 nights but are already talking about another visit.

Birthday celebration!
Our family had a wonderful time. We celebrated my husbands 70th birthday. The backyard was amazing, the children had so much room to play and the adults loved spending time playing washers, ladders, and tossing the football. We played games, made s’mores around the fire pit, played in the water and fished.
The house was perfect for our family with lots of room to sit around the table and eat. Plenty of bathrooms for all. A beautiful back porch where we sat and talked and played games. We hope to return again for more family time together.
