About this cabin rental
If you dream of log cabins and spending your days in the mountains, Great Smoky Lodge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is the luxurious location you didn’t know you needed. Recently rebuilt to an exceptional standard, Great Smoky Lodge packs plenty of amenities in its 4,500 square feet. On top of that, it offers spectacular views of Mount LeConte from its three rear decks and overlooks Gatlinburg from its front porch and balcony. Because it sleeps up to 20 people, you can invite friends and family along. Plus, bring your four-legged family members, the three-story lodge is pet-friendly! There's even an electric car charger in the parking area!
Let’s start our tour of Great Smoky Lodge with the bedrooms—all seven of them. Six of which include a log-frame king-size bed, the seventh has queen-size bunk beds, making it ideal for the kids. The wood-planked walls, cozy quilts and classic cabin decor epitomize mountain charm, but when you prop yourself up on the plush pillows to watch a premium-cable movie on the HDTV or surf the web via the free Wi-Fi, you’ll feel as if you’re in a five-star hotel. The two bedrooms on the top floor offer an additional amenity: doors that open directly onto the balcony. Start your day watching the sunrise above the mountains and end your evening with a moonlit nightcap. Three other bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, though given that the lodge has five full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms in all, you won’t have to line up in the hallway for your turn to take a shower.
Two more people can sleep in the loft’s sitting area, and another two in the downstairs game room. Each has a leather sofa that opens into a bed. The kids will probably beg to be allowed to sleep in either space. The upstairs sitting area serves as a game room, with a foosball table and two-person arcade table, along with a large flat-screen TV. The downstairs game room offers even more entertainment options. When you’re not shooting pool, you can do battle at one of the two arcades or the air-hockey table. The wet bar, complete with a microwave, can be stocked with all the drinks and snacks needed to keep the games going all night long! Then settle back on the sofa to watch the big game on the 55-inch HDTV or sit at the pub-style table for a game of cards.
If two gaming areas aren’t enough, Great Smoky Lodge has a home theater room as well. Its nine cinema-style seats let you watch a movie or a game on the oversize flat-screen TV in the utmost comfort. The chairs are so comfortable, you might want to hang out in the room even when you’re not watching TV.
Perhaps the best spot for hanging out, though, is in the deck’s hot tubs. Great Smoky Lodge has two so everyone can relish the massaging jets of steamy water after a day on the go. If you soak during the day, you’ll have a front-row view of Mount LeConte, at night you can gaze up at the canopy of stars. Then again, you needn’t be in a hot tub to savor the views, the decks have plenty of rockers and chairs.
The view is splendid from the great room as well, thanks to the wealth of oversized windows. When you’re not admiring the scenery from the luxe leather couches and recliner, you can watch TV while basking in the glow of the electric fireplace. In addition to the living area, the great room encompasses the dining area. With a pair of seven-foot-long tables and a breakfast bar, the room can accommodate the whole gang at once. Just as important, the kitchen has everything you need to host a crowd, including two stainless-steel refrigerators, two oven/stoves, two microwaves and two dishwashers.
When you stay at Great Smoky Lodge in the summer, you’ll have free access to the nearby community pool. And there’s plenty more to do just a quick car ride away. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, a ski resort, golf courses, ziplining and an aquarium are nearby!

Great property. Great views, easy access. To Downtown Gatlinburg, and Piegon forge. Great Vacation stop

This cabin was remarkable😎 We loved every inch of this place. We encountered no problems the whole entire stay. Everything was clean, roomy, and the cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and if we were to come back to vacation this would be the place again. It was 18 of us and it was more than enough room for us all. We Truly enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful mountain views. The grandchildren loved the gameroom and theater room. This cabin become my family mountain retreat. See ya in October!

The house and views were absolutely stunning. The kitchen was huge. The beds and the bathrooms were comfortable and clean. The lower level provided plenty of gaming entertainment. It was perfect for 13 of us! The only complaint some of the guests had was when the A/C was running upstairs, it sounded like a "freight train". We did get fussed at for playing acoustic guitars from the deck--at 6pm--because of the noise. We were there for a show in Knox. If we ever go back, we will rent again. It was definitely a "Next Level" place to stay in GAT for a large group.

Had a great time. House was excellent. Only complaint at all was that there was no can opener or wet bar.

We had 20 staying in the house ages 7-70. Is was very well stocked with kitchen supplies that we needed. One of the hot tubs had a leak that was suppose to get fixed. When we left no one was there to fix it. We had to keep adding water. We saw bears daily. Over all a very good vacation.

Driving to the property was like driving into the mountains of Cancun making my heart beat faster with every sharp turn while driving at a 90 degree incline it felt like. I come from a flat land state. But once you see the 3 story cabin with all its greenery and blue clouds was just amazing. Then to walk into the cabin with the perception of the description online was nothing compared to the actual cabin itself. Every turn, door, hallway, room and deck there was a beautiful sight to enjoy and relax in. This was a wonderful and relaxing trip for all involved for the company's team building experience. With Gatlinburg only a 3 minute drive with restaurants and rides it is defiantly a 2 day trip for sure.

We loved our stay at the cabin! We were traveling with 3 other families, 19 of us total, and there was plenty of room for all of us. Quick drive into both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and a great view of Gatlinburg from the balcony. The kitchen was amazing - double fridges, dishwashers, sinks, and coffee makers! Evenings by the fire were a great way to wind down after a busy day. Kids had a blast in the game room, and watching movies in the theater. Loved the oversized bunk beds too! Thanks for an incredible stay - we highly recommend this cabin!

Everything about the cabin was great, Beautiful layout very spacious, only negative thing about the cabin was no generator and the weather had got very cold and our power blinked on and off every 2 to 3 minutes and the heat would never warm up in the cabin . we couldn’t cook nor stay warm and that kind of destroy the family gathering and the fireplace was electric so it did no good

Pros: The views from each balcony are absolutely amazing. The cabin was stunning and decorated for Christmas. I truly loved that because this was our Families early Christmas getaway. Our group consisted of 13 adults, 7 children and there was plenty of room for all of us comfortably. The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable. I do suggest that you bring your own comforter from home because the ones on the bed are very used/worn. I was really glad I brought mine from home. The lay out of the cabin was beautiful. As soon as you walk in the front door that is considered the main floor which is located between the bottom and top floors. The master bedroom is on this floor. There are (two staircases on this floor) one going down to the bottom floor where the movie theater room/pool table/air hockey table are located along with two bedrooms on this floor. The second staircase goes up to the top floor where 4 bedrooms are located. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with plenty of cooking wear. Outdoors there are two charcoal grills next to the cabin.
Cons: The internet WOULD NOT work after our first night there. We COULD NOT use the theater room because there was NO INTERNET! The modem needed to be reset and it is locked in a closet where it can't be accessed by guest. Management did come out only once and reset the modem. It worked for about 4 hours and then went back out! No one else came after that to resolve this issue... One of the hot tubs did not work. One of the dishwashers did not work. The air hockey tables pucks were completely worn out causing the puck to not slide on the table the way it should. There were not enough towels at all for our family. Two of the bathrooms had no towels in them at all. We had to buy our own while we were there. There were 4 outdoor medium sized trash cans for cabin use. 1 of them would not unlock, the other 3 filled up quickly because we celebrated our Christmas there, so we had to keep 5 bags of trash in the cabin. Just overall Disappointed. We paid ALOT to stay here and these issues shouldn't have happened. We had been looking forward to this trip for many months. Just very frustrated. Hope my review helps others.

Plenty of space, clean, and amazing view. Ample parking.
Downstairs king sized bed was very uncomfortable though.

This property is all you could hope for. Fantastic view, great location and perfect for a crowd. We had 14 and easily could have done 4-6 more. The theater chairs are not comfortable so if you are going to watch a lot of movies you may not enjoy it. Other than that, no complaints. Would book again I. A heartbeat! Two hot tubs were great!

We had such an amazing time! The property had everything we could have wanted (minus spices in the kitchen). I would absolutely stay here again!
We had 11 people with plenty of room! Ages 6-39.

Nice property - needs better management
The property is wonderful. The couch was broken. Where the couch back was missing two metal pieces were sticking out causing a injury hazard. The pool was closed for repair that was not communicated. We partly rented this location for the availability of the pool. The size and location of the property was great. The kitchen was fantastic. Despite any issues we had a wonderful vacation.

Our 1st Group Trip
We had a large group of friends that decided we need to go on vacation together to avoid Mardi Gras traffic in our area! We booked this house and it was fantastic! Other than a broken toilet seat (which wasn’t a big deal) it was awesome! Each family got a room and the big kids slept in the bunks and on the couches! The view from the back deck was gorgeous and we all enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend for a friend or family gathering! Plenty of space!

Clean and great views
We could not have had a better stay at this cabin. The communication with the Mgnt company was great and very attentive. The place was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is large and very well stocked. We all love to cook and we didn’t lack for any utensils, pots, pans, dinnerware or anything.
The view was beautiful and overall very relaxing.

False advertisement and customer service is non existent
The house accommodates a large group comfortably. The view is phenomenal. Unfortunately, you can tell that the house has not been properly cleaned after guest usage. The seats and cup holders in the theatre we’re filthy ( crumbs and dried up liquid ). Both of the hot tubs were out of service. ( I contacted Jill from Jackson Mountain Homes, a week prior to arrival to please ensure that all amenities were functioning. To which she replied and insisted that there were no work orders in place for either hot tub.) Even though there was a review from prior guests stating that the hot tubs were not functioning. As soon as we arrived the hot tubs were checked and hot tubs were out of order. Maintenance was contacted, and the gentleman informed us that the hot tub has been broken for a while. It would have been nice to have been informed of this information, instead of being lied to. We also informed them that one of the dishwasher was not functioning. We called JMH once again, to which they said they will send someone out to fix our issues. We had a family member stay back all day to make sure that maintenance showed up. Of course no one came by, and we called to inform Jill from Jackson Mountain to which she was extremely rude. We continued to call throughout our stay, and Jackson Home Management continued to blow us off. Our family vacation has been planned since Feb 2020. We were very disappointed with the way the situation was handled. If you do plan on staying at this property, be prepared to deal with this awful management company.

Great space for family time together
Our stay was very nice. We had an issue with the hot tub, made an immediate call but no one showed to fix the issue. Still have not heard from anyone. One of the dishwashers did not work, was pretty dirty inside. We stayed 4 nights. The views were stunning. Double fridge & oven was ideal for our large group. This cabin was a great fit for our group, regardless of the small issues we experienced. Does need more space to dispose trash outside. We celebrated our Christmas so our trash was a bit more then usual. Would have been nice to hear back on the broken hot tub, it was an urgent situation we’re water completely drained from it. No call, No show.

Top of the world
The cabin was spectacular. View was awesome. Location was fabulous, close to everything you could ask for. We didn't have the entire group that had intended on coming, but the four of us felt like kings and queens. We took advantage of all the cabin had to offer. Can't wait to do it again!!

Great location & perfect vacation home
All worked out except for a bathroom door that had a broken lock. Was reported upon check in, Maintainence came in within a hour - removed the lock & was told he would be back the following day. Called the next day was told maintenance will be coming the following day - never saw him again as well as no communications despite being told that we needed the bathroom door operational as we were a full house !

Stunning views!
We loved staying at this property. We had more than enough room for our friends and had so much fun playing in the snow! We were sad that the air hockey table and foosball table didn’t have a puck or ball to play with, but we played a lot of pool and enjoyed the racing game instead. The hot tubs were enjoyable and we loved having several decks to hangout on. We would love to stay here again. Thanks for having us!

Seamless check-in. Clean property. Perfect kitchen with everything in working order, plenty of dinnerware/silverware, etc.
Beds were COMFY! The views can't be beat. The hot tubs were the icing on the cake for us. So warm and cozy with the best views around!

50th Birthday
Great house in a great location. We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday with 5 families. We had plenty of room too spread out. The "double" items in the kitchen are wonderful for a large group. I have read in other reviews that the house next door was noisy due to partying. Same with our stay but we didn't mind.

cleaning
the house is amazing! if you would provide me with a few items and a free stay, I would clean every inch of this house, it is due for a deep, deep clean. I had my own cleaning company for 17 yrs. followed by a restaurant for 15 yrs. in which was the only facility that the health inspector would eat in! I know something about cleaning! your house needs me! it is a 10 hour drive for me, we snowbird in Florida, so a stop along the way would be perfect for both of us! if you have more than one house in this condition, maybe we can work something out, it is a shame to have such lovely property, and not keep it up to the standard that is advertised. if you want to make a deal contact me, the price is right! FREE!

Breathtaking mountain views, great location!
Loved this property! Great location, breathtaking mountain views and 3 wonderful decks with lots of rocking chairs, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening sunsets. Also loved the large kitchen and dining area for sharing family cooking and meals. The kitchen was well stocked with glasses, coffee cups (about 30) , plates, silverware, cookie sheets/bakeware, a crockpot, 2 coffee makers and a fancy Keurig. Only thing we missed was a propane grill. There are 3 charcoal grills in front in the parking area, Also, gave communication with property manager 3 stars because we were charged a pet fee, but did not have any pets with us. We emailed property manager stating this and asking for refund of this fee, but got no response.

Beautiful house with amazing views
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Great Smoky Lodge. Loved the spaciousness, well equipped kitchen, game room and the view - it is spectacular! Of note, it is at the top of a cluster of three houses with the house next door being rather close. Not an issue until the last night when a large group moved in and the noise kept us up for a good part of the night. Luck of the draw I guess, but you can definitely hear your neighbors.

Villa overlook review
Overall it was a great stay.
Negatives - 9 kids getting hot tub folliculitis. Disgusting rash caused by bacteria in the hot tub. So hopefully they resolve this issue. Also - don’t book based on the photos of the pool. The pool is not full or open. Management company was super unhelpful with giving us details about the pool or where it was located. They told us to call the condo/villas. No phone number. We found the pool on our own and it was dilapidated and not full.
Other than that - Cabin is amazing and clean. Views are spectacular. Great house for entertaining three families with kids.

Great Cabin for Extended Family!
This cabin was just perfect for our extended family to spend a fun weekend together. We had 7 couples, and 6 kids under 5, and the cabin was perfect to host us. We loved the kitchen (which had 2 of everything!), the spacious rooms, the entertainment areas, and the VIEWS. It was perfectly secluded so that we could really enjoy family time together. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful Property
Positives: The house and location were wonderful. The kitchen was truly fully stocked w utensils and gadgets, including one crockpot. Having 2 ovens, microwaves, dishwashers etc makes for much easier meal planning. The master was on main floor and having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms gave our family of 12 privacy for an enjoyable experience. The construction next door appears almost complete and didn’t bother us at all. We could barely hear the crew working and parking was never an issue as there is TONS of space. The panoramic views of the mountains and wildlife were fantastic, as you are at the top of one of the mountains. All the tv’s were crystal clear and we had zero issues w wifi, cable or cell phone service for that matter. Ive seen in other reviews where bugs have been troublesome but we never saw a single bug anywhere. (I read where a previous renter had the millipedes problem and i know that can happen w new construction if they build on top of a nest as we had that happen w a new build many years ago.)
We visited in October and temps were ranging from 50s overnight to 80s during day and our air conditioning worked flawlessly.
Slight Negative: We called the property management a couple days prior for the door code and there was quite a bit of confusion (on their end) as to how their app functioned and what would be detailed within the app. The woman we spoke with was very pleasant and did her best to see that we had this resolved quickly. Just a small communication flaw and i am sure they manage a great deal of properties.
Negatives: Our only negatives to this property would be the floors were very dirty and you wouldn’t know unless you walked barefoot (or w socks) and ended up w black feet after sometime so each night we made the children rewash feet before crawling into bed. The property furnished some beds w just sheet and others had sheets plus super thin quilts. We called other family enroute and told them to bring more blankets (yes we scoured all accessible areas for extras, we found 2 thin quilts). There also needed to be more towels. We had 12 people in our party and we likely were given 12 towels total which is not enough for anyone who needs a hair towel (most women need 2 towels).
We would stay at this property again but we would bring extra blankets, towels, and slippers for all. The housekeepers really need to hand scrub the floor now and then to remove the black film.

Amazing house/Amazing views
My wife found this property for our family vacation planned for September, 2019. Wow, what an amazing house. We had 11 people. Let me start with the views, they are simply amazing. We spent a lot of time during the week just sitting on the decks admiring the beautiful mountain views. There are 3 different decks and the top two have 9 chairs each to sit in. The bottom deck has two hot tubs.
We used the kitchen a lot and it is wonderful. There are two of everything; two ovens, two microwaves, two dishwashers, two sinks, two coffee makers, two refrigerators and plenty of dishes.
The bedrooms (1 on the middle floor, 2 on the bottom and 4 upstairs) were all used and there isn't a bad bedroom in the house. If noise bothers you when sleeping, consider brining a floor fan. We did and didn't hear anything.
The location is perfect. The views are amazing. The house sits at the top above all other homes and you see nothing but mountains. It's close to downtown Gatlinburg (5-10 minutes). It's close to a grocery store (Food City).
Overall, we loved this place. Our family loved this place. We were sad to leave.
The only slightly negative thing that I can say is that some of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty. But no big deal. We just washed them again.
I read other views and many people were complaining about bugs and noise from construction next door. There were lots of spiders in the corners of boards above each deck and around the deck posts. There were wasp nests also. But, there was bug spray in the panty and I used it to pretty much eliminate everything. Chill out, you're in the woods. There will be bugs. As for the construction noises, there was some, but they weren't that loud and the fan we brought helped.
We would definitely rent this house again. It's beautiful, the views are beautiful and our family had an amazing time and created some great memories and the house was a big part of that.
