Overpriced for basic accommodation

Location

Long winded check in process , very basic rooms , no TV , no duvet cover , front doors locked at 11pm , vending machines cash only ..

typische Jugendherberge

Sehr freundlicher Kontakt an der Rezeption, saubere Zimmer. Frühstück jugendherbergsentsprechend, Komfort auch, es war leise. Bestelltes Lunchpaket hat geklappt.

die Lüftung im Bad wollte gar nicht wieder aufhören zu laufen… Seife im Bad wäre schon ganz nett. Man muss wissen, dass es WLAN nur im Eingangsbereich gibt, nicht auf den Zimmern. Sinnvoll für Jugendgruppen, für alleinreisende Erwachsene etwas lästig.

Personal sehr freundlich, Frühstück gut, Lage zentral aber ruhig.

Etwas nüchterne Atmosphäre. Leider gummibeschichtete dünne Matratzen.

Die Lage war für unseren Zweck optimal..

Die Bettwäschregelung ist halt Jugendherberge, nur dafür hinkt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ganz ordentlich.

Pleasant overall.

I liked the overall vibe of the place. The receptionist was super nice and friendly. The check-in process was seamless although my previous Jugendherberge Hostel in Dusseldorf didn't give me the membership card, so i had to pay extra here.

The room was basically a dorm room with two beds. I was expecting a different setup. The location was 3 km from the HBF and there were no eateries around. So a lil disappointed.

It was okay, but wouldnt return here

Rooms are really clean, and some of the staff were nice, breakfast was good.

I understand German a bit, but i dont really speak it. When i arrived at this hostel the man behind the counter didn't speak/understood English, so at one point he stopped speaking to me. And at every question i had he just lifted his shoulders and said nothing. I felt onwelcome, left one night earlier and i wouldnt return here. Beside that, something that wasnt in the description, if youre not a member, to the jungendherberge, you have to pay €3,50 per night extra. In my opinion this hostel was way to expensive for what i got for it.

Privacy = zero, Staff very, very friendly and competent. Breakfast was good

the staff was exceptionally good.

what was a bit weird, that there were people running on my balcony all the time. I cannot recommend if you want to enjoy your privacy

Disappointing

the internet only works in the reception area. so on the 4th floor I could not get any internet. also on booking.com it says check out is 10am. i got pestered twice about leaving at 9.20 and 9.40. It then became apparent that check out was 9.30. i mentioned to the receptionist that booking.com was different, the reaction seemed to be, swings and roundabouts. quite annoying to be honest as I had to throw everything together and leave the room. I expected the receptionist to say, we will change that on booking.com. be aware!

Superb

Nice location, decent room and breakfast and very clean. Slept well.

Check-out could be a little later. 9.30 is too much of a rush. 10 would be better. How about eggs for breakfast and soap dispenser in rooms too?

Very good

Great value for money. Clean. Quiet. The best spare ribs in Hannover at the beer garden across the road. Park and lake near by.

There was no bicycle rental at the hostel. This was disappointing.

It was quite ok.

It was a good value for money, breakfast was quite good and location is great.

Our room was very crowded, 5 beds in a very small room. Fifth bed was like sleeping on the floor. Also, there was a toilet only for one level.

Exceptional

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hostel was in a quiet setting next to the green and leafy sports park. Breakfast was excellent.

Great youth hostel, Excellent Breakfast, River and Park views

The Breakfast was just perfect and included fresh rolls, cheese and salami, orange juice, coffee, and fruits. The reception team was very kind and helpful. Travelling by the train to the city center is 5-7 min walking from Jugendherberge Hannover. The location of Jugendherberge Hannover is in the heart of the nature, near the river and park.

No Wi-Fi is avialble on the rooms. The Wi-fi is limited to a small area near by the reception. The is no T.V. in the Single room.
