About this cottage rental
Stoneridge Cottage II is a two person, one bedroom “adults only” cottage that is equipped with everything you need for a home away from home. It is beautifully designed with a mix of stone, hardwood floors, wood ceiling, tile, custom kitchen cabinets and designer décor. Amenities include:
- It has a flat screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player
- The TV is connected to DirecTV with all the movie channels.
- Wi-Fi service.
- Cell Phone service is available for Verizon, AT&T and Sprint customers.
- The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including: appliances, both
auto drip and Keurig coffee pots with coffee and K-cups, eating utensils, glasses
and dishes, pot and pans, toaster, microwave, ice maker, Bounty paper towels,
napkins, sugar and sweeteners, dish washing detergent, dish cloth and drying
towels.
- In the bathroom, we supply wash cloths, bath towels, Lever 2000 full size soaps
and Charmin toilet paper.
- The bedroom is supplied with pillows, bed linens, spreads and blankets.
- There is a screen porch on the back of the cottage and a patio area with a gas
grill, fire pit and private hot tub that overlook the beautiful valley and the
spectacular sunsets.
Luxury has never been so affordable.
The view from Stoneridge Cottage II is an unlimited vista year round revealing the valley below and the distant mountains. This magnificent view is visible from every square foot of the cottage. Outside, you can enjoy the view from our cozy screened porch or romantic hot tub for two. The view affords brilliant sunsets, phenomenal cloud formations, distant rain storms, rolling fog and the train as it passes through the valley.
The cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to charming downtown Mentone. Once there, you can enjoy browsing unique shops and the craft village, or have lunch or dinner in one of its charming restaurants. There are many scenic roads in the area and places of interest, such as Desoto Falls, Little River Canyon, Rock City in Chattanooga and more.
We at Stoneridge Cottages want you to know that we are continuing our practice of providing you with the cleanest rental possible. For your added protection during this COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken steps to be even cleaner by sanitizing all commonly used hard surfaces. This includes, but not limited to remote controls, counter tops, doorknobs, appliance handles, bathroom and kitchen cabinet knobs, microwave, railings, light switches, and sink and bathtub handles. And of course, we will continue to replace the icemaker ice between rentals.

This little cabin really has a million dollar view! Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, and relaxing evenings in the hot tub makes for the perfect escape destination!

Our second time to stay in this cottage was just as great as the first. We love how clean, beautiful, and cozy it is. The location is perfect for a relaxing weekend. Looking over the valley is stunning. The cottage has everything you need and is so comfortable. We will be back!

We arrived to an immaculately clean and welcoming cottage. Our hosts communicated well and let us know they were available if we needed anything during our stay. The view was amazing and the area was quiet and peaceful. We sat on the screened porch each morning for coffee and each evening to watch the sunset. There are several great restaurants in Mentone and the location is easy access to DeSoto Falls and Little River Canyon. We would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is a true treasure in a perfect location. So peaceful and it has every comfort you could need. The back covered porch is such a wonderful place to relax and take in the awesome view of the valley. The hot tub is a plus too. Such a beautifully decorated cabin and the hosts are so thoughtful and accommodating. Excellent communication with the hosts as well. Thank you again Liz and Jerome for a wonderful stay! We look forward to coming back again sometime! =)

The owners, Liz and Jerome, truly thought of everything when equipping this cottage, and one can tell that it was done with love. Beyond that, they just make the whole process easy and perfect. This was our second time to stay here, and we plan to make it an annual thing.

Fantastic little cottage! Perfect size for the two of us to both work and relax. I think we spent most of our time out in the screened porch gazing out over the valley. We'd love to come back again.

This was our second visit, and we loved it just as much this time as the last! The owner was super attentive, even bringing more propane for the grill when it ran out.

This is a cozy cottage for two with such wonderfully lovely views from every area of the yard, from the stunning rocky views in the back to the wildflowers and shrubs. The bed is very comfortable and the cottage is clean and attractively decorated, but not overdone. The coffee choices were well thought out and that meant lots to us as coffee lovers. This second visit was as pleasing as our first in 2021.

The perfect cottage for a quiet reprieve from society. Mentone is peaceful and quaint. Although small, the cottage offers plenty of room for a couple to find solitude or cozy comfort.
The owners were exceptionally accommodating and responsive to our needs. Relax and enjoy.

My husband and I stayed in this cute cabin for two nights and it was amazing! Pictures do not do the view justice, you’re literally up in the clouds. It came equipped with everything needed and was very clean! We will for sure be back :)

I highly recommend this for any couple looking to get away for a restful, peaceful, and delightful vacation. From the cottage and property itself to the quaint little town of Mentone and the Wildflower Cafe, Tiger's Inn brunch down in Valley Head, or shopping and exploring the main street of Fort Payne, this is a destination vacation you didn't know you were looking for.
The area's beautiful and scenic hiking trails and waterfalls offered by Desoto Falls and the Little River Canyon are reminiscent of being out west in Wyoming or Montana. A true nature lover's delight!
You will not leave disappointed having visited this beautiful area of northern Alabama. In fact, it will leave you wanting to come back for more!

Overall, the cottage was clean and comfortable. The view (especially without leaves on the trees) was incredible. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while watching the sunset. I would definitely stay again.

This is our third stay with this host! This is a beautiful and cozy cabin with a breathtaking view!! We enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub! Highly recommend staying here! We will be back!!

We so enjoyed our weekend! Even though the weather was dreary, the cottage was warm and inviting. We found good places to eat and ventured into Ft. Payne, Valley Head and Collinsville. We’re looking forward to a return visit in spring or fall!

This cabin is beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean and truly has a million dollar view. All of the comforts of home in a quiet mountain setting. Great areas to walk to the local Mentone Market and just a short drive to Desoto Falls. I highly recommend Stoneridge Cottage II. It will not disappoint!

This cottage was absolute perfection! The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated. The view was amazing and the location was super convenient. It is an easy walk into town. Mentone is a charming little community. 10/10 recommend.

We have been coming to Stoneridege Cottage II for 10 years. We can't understand how it gets better every year, when it was perfect to begin with! Maybe our appreciation just grows keener.
The 2-person cottage sits on the brow in Mentone, overlooking a smokey little valley below. Situated to capture the views and the natural light, the cottage embraces you with the outdoors. Inside, it is charming, comfortable, and homey, with a fireplace, spacious bedroom, and pretty kitchen. Then there is the screened in-porch and well-maintained hot tub.
Luckily, tiny Mentone has grown and offers locally owned shops, restaurants, an arts center, and a superb general market. And its within 30 minutes of DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Preserve. You can drive to the Smokies if you need to, but we will beam up to Mentone for our mountain getway.
