Beyond Expectations

Rooms were as spacious, bright and pretty as on the pictures. Definitely feel a bit luxurious, however it’s not as spotless as it seems. The view from the living room onto the river is very beautiful as well as the afternoon sun that fills up the hole house. We actually also really enjoyed the location as it’s quite and surrounded by nature! So if you don’t mind taking a tuktuk every time, it’s very well situated.

Taking a closer look, there were many scratches on the wall, a mark on my bed sheet, the sink doesn’t work properly (water always running down the floor while washing hands) and the shower had some kind of stains at the bottom. Nothing major but for the price I would like that everything is clean and well maintained. Breakfast was okay (omelette, fruits and toast and butter) but a little small and underwhelming compared to other accommodations in Sri Lanka for less money. A scooter could unfortunately also not be organized, however he tried!

Great & memorable stay in a quiet villa

Dhanajaya (hope the name is correct) was a friendly, easy going helpful guy who was able to assist with all of our requirements during our stay in Kandy. Tours, transport, food, clarifications with railway, etc. He's a decent cook with breakfast. The place is a villa with 4 rooms for guests. Our room was large with a fantastic view of the river. It's located in a quiet residential village with many big houses. Transport by tuk tuk was easy. Distance to city center by tuk tuk was about 15 mins. No TV in the room which is fine since most guests will be reading or watching their own streaming content online. For the price, it is very very good value.

Quiet residential village also means the small roads leading to the villa are dark & narrow. But the tuk tuk drivers were skillful. Payment was in rupees. Wished they could have told us prior to check in. Lucky we had sufficient local currency. Wifi was very slow. Lucky the prepaid SIM 4G data speeds were decent. Bring your own toiletries.

Beatiful villa

Everything was perfect workers are so much helpfull. They are always ready for help. House is a villa with beautiful view. Our room was clean bathroom was nice. Breakfast was perfect. I recommend this place you will like very much.

Amazing stay

We only stayed here for one night but wish it was longer. The room was huge, the bed was comfy and the view from the rooms balcony was amazing. The guys welcomed us with big smiles and were great/helpful throughout our stay. It was lovely just chilling outside on the balcony watching the world go by. The location was perfect, away from the busy town and was a short walk through the neighborhood to reach Kandy town for evening dinner. The breakfast included was amazing, we had the option of either western or Sri Lankan - we obviously went for Sri Lankan and we greeted to a freshly cooked feast in the morning - perfect before the long train to Ella (we couldn't finish all of it so took the rest for snacks on the train). Lovely house with an even lovelier host family.

Nothing! The location might not suit some but we were glad we were out of town as Kandy centre isn't a very nice place anyway. Only a 30min walk/10min tuk tuk away from town.

Terrible Mistake I have Done in my lifetime

Nothing about this property is likeable. Total disaster for anyone who wishes to travel to Kandy. I never see any property with poorly maintained hygiene.
