Loved the shared patio areas although a bit cold to use. Kitchen well stocked with the necessities. Garbage disposable did not work and was not fixed while we were there although it didn’t really interfere with our stay. I would stay here again. Good location

My husband and I visited for Wedding Anniversary and this place what exactly as advertised. Small enough just for the two of us. Nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors. It’s within walking distance to Bridge Street for shopping and food. So close to the bay for morning Sunrise and Sunsets on the beach. I definitely recommend and plan to return.

The property is in a great location, close to Bridge Street, the beach and the free trolley bus. We stayed when it was very cold for a few days and as a result could not use the area which had the dining table and as a result this reduced the useful space considerably. The shower is very small and it needs upgrading to ensure that the water does not leak out on to the floor. It is fine for a short stay but not for anything longer than that. You really need to plan to eat out rather than cook in.

We loved this little place. It was everything we needed for our weekend away. It was a very short walk to the bay to watch the sunrise or sit peacefully and watch the boats and birds. And, it was a short walk across the street to the beach. There is also a walking path the lines the beach which I used to take a walk every morning. What we didn’t know until we got there is how close it is to Historic Bridge street where there’s tons of shops and restaurants as well as a pier at the end to enjoy a different view of the ay or go fishing if you like. This place was a perfect location for everything we needed within walking distance, but also a short drive to other towns and beaches along Anna Maria island. This weekend we actually came to see a soccer tournament at the IMG Academy and that was also inly about a 15 minute drive inland. Everything was perfect, the place, the location and the whole area! I’d definitely come back!

We stayed with Mark for our anniversary trip. This is the second year we have stayed on this property. Stayed in unit 3 this year. As we have come to expect and appreciate, everything was top notch. It's the little things this property offers: great pillows, premium mattresses, great beach equipment, that sets it apart. We will be back!

What could be better than a short walk east to the bay for the sunrise and a short walk west to the beach and sunsets. Great, quiet beach, access to trolley, shopping and restaurants. The property listing was a bit misleading, certainly NOT a large living room. But it was comfortable for two and we enjoyed having the courtyard to sit, play cards, etc. A few cleaning items had been overlooked and an issue with the dishwasher but Mark was VERY responsive and helpful.

Another wonderful time! We have been coming here for the past three years. Every spring and every fall. We call it our home away from home. Such a relaxing atmosphere. Steps from Sarasota Bay and steps from the Gulf of Mexico. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. If you love the white beaches of Florida as much as we do and want to relax, island getaway is the place to be. Once again Mark, thank you for sharing your little price of paradise with us.

Key factor favoring this rental is location, an easy walking distance (a few hundred feet) to a nice local beach. It allows you to avoid all the beach traffic coming in the morning and leaving early evening. This rental unit excelled in providing all the necessities for both inside the rental and for the beach. Comfortable but not extravagant. Feel at home here.

This is our fifth stay at Island Getaway. We try to come twice a year. The owner Mark is phenomenal. We meet him each time we are there because he is always around to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied with your stay. You are only 75 steps to the beach. A very short walk to restaurants and a short drive to supermarkets. If you like the beach and want to relax there is no better place than Island Getaway. Thank you Mark for providing this wonderful experience.

A tip of the hat to Mark, the owner for his attentiveness. On Valentines day he and his son came to each of the guests with a box of candies. The property is ideally located, with the beach several hundred feet to the west, a fishing pier even closer to the East, and Bridge Street with eating and good music a ten minute walk. Caught a fish with the poles provided, rented bikes and loved the walking. The common area is well apportioned with tables, chairs and grills, and is made attractive generous planting of trees.

This unit is located close to the very pretty Anna Marie Island beach. Recent remodel of the kitchen is very nice and it is well supplied to prepare meals. This unit was clean and fine for two people as the sofa sleeper could not open without rearranging the furniture. The bathroom is small, but adequate. Plenty of linens provided.

Our home away from home

As always another wonderful vacation. From sunrise (100 steps to the bay) to sunset (150 steps to the Gulf) we would not stay anywhere else. Our unit was clean and comfortable as well as the surrounding well maintained grounds. This was our fourth trip and we feel like Island Getaway is our home away from home. The weather was exceptional this visit. We are already planning another trip for spring. Once again, thank you Mark and Lili.
