About this house rental

Live the life of leisure in our brand new second floor loft, situated in a fun neighborhood just blocks from downtown. This apartment was specifically built for vacationing guests in mind, and construction finished in mid-2020. Close to the National Park, featuring a 4K smart TV, kitchenette, open floor plan, 1 BR, 1 bath, and views of Lumpy Ridge from the huge picture windows.

Thanks for checking out our brand new loft, which my husband and I designed ourselves. Construction just finished in mid-2020, so it's sparkly clean and in awesome shape. It's a perfect spot for couples who are excited to explore the National Park or the downtown district, and our immediate neighborhood has everything you need for a fun visit.

Within blocks of our home are the best street tacos in town, a great Thai restaurant, and our two favorite breweries. You can also walk a block and a half to Lake Estes to fish or just hang out. The convenience can't be beat.

When we decided to add on to our home, we wanted to create an inviting space that makes you feel like you're high up in the air. We are avid rock climbers, after all! The massive second-floor picture windows offer commanding views over our neighborhood to the mountains of Lumpy Ridge and the twinkly lights of the Stanley Hotel.

The space features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, so it feels big for its 600-ish square feet. The kitchen/dining/living area encourages socialization and it's got a funky, modern vibe. At the same time, the cozy bedroom in the rear of the building is quiet as can be.

While our neighborhood is residential, it's frequently overrun with elk, deer and other wildlife that venture over after drinking from Lake Estes, about a block away. Animal sightings are common, so be ready.

All access is plowed and flat, so, you will be fine year round with whatever car you choose. We do recommend AWD however.

We are new hosts, but we are happy to have our good friend of 10 years managing our home. Nathan and his house manager Nancy have hosted 8000+ guests since 2016 and we know you will be in great hands. Their past guests have raved about their prompt replies, attention to detail, and ability to make you feel totally at home.

This is a private guest suite in an accessory unit above our garage. It's attached to our home, and we live there year round. We give our guests privacy but you may see us coming and going.

We live in a residential neighborhood; if you are looking for isolation in the woods, this isn't your best bet. For that you'll need to search 10 miles or more out of Estes Park.

The fully stocked kitchenette has a 2 burner cooktop but no stove.

Last, check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. We can't accommodate early check ins and late check outs due to my cleaners' schedule and the extra time needed for coronavirus precautions.

SLEEPING - Our home offers 1 bedroom with a super comfortable queen bed and huge closet, plus a pull-out sofa bed in the living room that's larger than a full and ever so slightly smaller than a queen.

LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT - There's a 4K smart television with Roku. Log into your favorite streaming service: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, etc.

WiFi - Our loft employs a speedy fiber-based WiFi network.

COOKING - The kitchenette has everything you need to cook: a two burner stove, microwave, fridge and freezer, and assortment of pots and pans, cooking utensils, glasses, cutlery and plates. Note that there is no oven!!

Guests have access to 1 parking spot in our driveway (far left side of the garage) plus our loft apartment. Guests do not have access to our backyard, garage or home. Our loft includes 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open kitchen/dining/living area.

My husband Amos and I are long time Estes locals. We love to hike, ride bikes, rock climb, and ski in the National Park. We give our guests privacy but want to ensure you have a great visit. Our good friend Nathan is managing our home, along with his house manager Nancy, and they will take great care of you!

Our neighborhood is fun and convenient. Situated in a residential zone, our home is a block and a half from Lake Estes. It's also just blocks from our two favorite breweries (Avant Garde Aleworks and Lumpy Ridge Brewing), both with great outdoor seating. The best street tacos in town are at either La Cocina de Mama or an incredible Mexican grocery store, both about a block away. You can also walk over to the fairgrounds for Estes' biggest events, to our favorite Thai restaurant, to a liquor store, laundry mat, and other restaurants and bars. Downtown is close by too.

During the summer, there's a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. You'll want to walk a few blocks to the Estes Park Events Complex for the closest shuttle.

WE LIVE HERE

Note that we live in the home. You will have access to a guest suite with no interior shared spaces/overlap. It's totally private.

NOISE

Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors.

NONPAYING GUESTS

Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property.

ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE

There is an additional charge per person for your stay after the first two guests. The platform will automatically calculate the total when you input your dates and guest count.

AIR CONDITIONER

Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze plus fans will cool the home down quickly.

BEARS

Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in!

Das Ferienhaus ist soweit gut ausgestattet , in der Küche ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Ablagefläche für Kleidung in den Schlafzimmern und Kinderzimmer sind leider nur sehr spärlich. In dem Doppelzimmer gingen leider die Front der Schubladen ab, sobald man diese aufzog. Der Lattenrost beim Doppelbett scheint nicht ganz zu passen. Er fiel zweimal raus, konnte aber wieder eingelegt werden. Bett geht im Bereich der Steckzapfen auseinander. Wäschetrockner vorhanden, allerdings für 5 Personen nicht ausreichend. Das Haus ist im allgemeinen sehr schön und man fühlt sich dort wohl. Für Kleinkinder ist der große Garten echt perfekt. DIe Lage und der Weg zum Strand waren sehr kurz und somit für spontane Ausflüge zum Strand sehr gut .

Wir waren zu viert eine Woche in Glowe. Die Lage ist wunderbar, in ein paar Minuten war man zu Fuß am Strand. Mit dem Auto kann man problemlos die verschiedenen schönen Flecken von Rügen erreichen. Das Haus war schön und geräumig. Einzig die Tatsache dass wir für die Saunanutzung zusätzlich zahlen mussten hat uns etwas überrascht. In der Objektbeschreibung haben wir dazu nichts gefunden, die Information bekamen wir erst kurz vor Anreise. Nichts desto trotz ist das Preis Leistungsverhältnis für das Haus sehr gut und empfehlenswert. Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre noch ein Ordner mit Freizeitaktivitäten in der Umgebung, Tipps zum Einkaufen, einem aktuellen Veranstaltungskalender und Vergleichbarem. Trotz der kleinen Kritik hatten wir aber einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und konnten uns sehr gut erholen.

Wir hatten eine gemütliche Woche in diesem geräumigen Reetdachhaus. Besonders die Vorsaison im Frühling ist sehr zu empfehlen, da man den Strand und die gesamte Insel fast ganz für sich alleine hat. ;-)

Das Haus macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Die Austattung in der Küche ist sehr umfangreich und in gutem Zustand. Es ist gemütlich und sehr Kinderfreundlich mit vielen Spielen, Büchern und sogar ein Babybett. Dazu ist Sauna im Haus ist wirklich toll. Die Lage ist sehr gut für viele Ausflüge auf der Insel und zum Strand ist es auch nur ein kleiner Fußmarsch. Kurzum man kann sich sehr wohlfühlen.

Wir waren echt zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Super Haus, echt gut Ausgestattet und der Strand ist echt Klasse. Es gibt nur zwei kleine Punkte die verbessert werden können, wenn nicht sogar müssen. Es gibt leider nur im Hauptschlafzimmer ein Fliegengitter. Warum nicht in allen Schlafräumen und den Bädern? Lüften echt schwierig bei den Mücken. Und das Internet über den Hotspot ist sowas von schlecht. Ich würde ich auch nachbessern. Wenn die beiden Punkte geändert werden, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.
