About this house rental
Our house is on one of the most beautiful coves of beach anywhere. This beach is a secret gem and you may often find that you are the only person on the sand. Our house is only a ten minute drive from lovely downtown Santa Barbara and 1 1/2 hours away from west Los Angeles. You can enjoy watching the dolphins swim by as you eat at the kitchen table or sit on the front deck. You can try out our kayaks for a closer look in the sheltered bay. Come relax and enjoy. We are located between Carpinteria--a small, friendly beach town, and Montecito--a community with beautiful hillside canyons and spectacular estates. Both cities have excellent restaurants, wonderful farmers' markets, antique shopping, etc. The Santa Barbara wine country is not far. Nearby to the north and east of us, the Los Padres National Forest, offers thousands of square miles of back country opportunities. Nearby are multiple opportunities for outdoor activities or fine dining and entertainment.

The location is stunning. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. Couple of things to note… there is not a regular coffee maker - only a Keurig and pods were not provided. The queen bed on the main floor was not comfortable. Our last evening and the morning we left we were not able to get hot water in the showers. Property manager asked us to let the showers run for at least 5 minutes to obtain hot water - still no hot water. Other than these few things we loved the location.

I had such a lovely weekend with a group of gals - the photos did not do the house justice! It was right on the water, in a great and safe neighborhood. Will definitely look to come back here in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at CScape. 4 adults, 5 kids, plenty of room to stretch out. House comes fully stocked. Beach toys and games for the kids to enjoy. We had the best time!

This house was perfect for our three-generation gathering. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, this place will hold a big group. The beach and views of the coastline are breathtaking. The grandkids are saying that they already miss the beach house! We can't wait to come back. Thanks for sharing this special place with us.

We visited Santa Barbara to attend a family wedding. Our trip started in Solvang it ended at the beach house. What an amazing way to end our trip. The location was just outside of Santa Barbara which didn’t matter because the house was on the beach. Simply amazing.

Fantastic stay. Pictures don’t do the property’s location justice. RIGHT on the beach. No complaints except for some (small) cleanliness issues. Scum in hot tub. (Which was addressed by pool maintaince company.) Food crumbs in the clean dishes cabinets. Sand in sheets. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time! This place is amazing, we already booked for next summer. The BEST beach I've been to in SoCal and I've lived here 51 years. And the house has everything you could possibly want. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great stay. The house is extremely functional and while occupying it, it has way more room than you would expect from the photos. There are lots of spaces to have two couples stay and not be on top of each other the whole time. And then there’s the beach, which can’t be beat.

LOVE this location!!
House is set up nicely for a large family or several couples. Had everything we needed! We didn’t get a chance to use the bikes, kayaks, etc..., but we had a blast on the beach. Easy walk to Padora Beach Grill if you just don’t want to cook. Loved it!

Amazing beach house- wish we could move in forever ;-)
Our first impression when we entered the house was: WOW. I stayed in the house with 9 friends coming from all over the world and everybody immediatly felt in love. It has an interessting and open architecture and a warm, personal and tasteful furnishing. I loved the individual decoration all over the house and all the little extras like books and games. You can feel in every room that the house has its own personal character and the owners do not just want to make money out of it. The house is situated in a quiet street directly on the beach so it is just a few steps into the water. All you can hear is the ocean. The view is truly amazing. The house itself has a big open kitchen with everything you need to prepare a big dinner. There are two (!) connected living rooms with a patio leading directly to the beach and with enough space for ten people I stayed with. There are five bedrooms, three bigger ones with an own bathroom and two smaller ones, one with bunkbeds and one study, home office room with a foldaway cupboard double bed. Everything we could have ever needed was there, kitchen utensils for more than 10 people, dishtowels etc., bbq, beddings and bedclothes, towels for the bathroom and for the beach. There are also beach chairs, surfboards, boogieboards etc. so you can have a really nice day on the beach. I wished we could have stayed longer. We had an amazing time. There is nothing negative to say, except maybe that the booking was a little bit formal (I had to sign a contract and to scan it), and it did not work immediatly. But this is not a real negative point, if the booking requirements of home away are like this, I am absolutley fine with this. Melissa- my contact partner from the house I corresponded via email- was very friendly, helpful, patient and answered to all my questions immediatly.
So if you are looking to get away from big hotels, experience life in a neighbourhood in an amazing house with your friends at the beach- look no farther.
