Stunning location within 5 minutes of the centre of town, 3 minutes to the promenade and beach and views of the beach and across the bay and big windows to enjoy it all
They have made brilliant use of the space and it is really well equipped etc but it's good to realise it is small. We are both 75 and while my wife was fine with that, with old age aches etc I found it a bit small as we live normally in a spacious place. So only a note of caution if that's important to you otherwise brilliant

This was a lovely apartment to spend two weeks celebrating our 50th Anniversary. Some of the highlights were the beautiful view, just steps to the beach, and walking distance to the yummy bakery, cute shops and great restaurants. We rode the train from the CDG Paris airport, walked the 10 minutes to the apartment and did not need to rent a car. The apartment is well-furnished and it was a pleasure to meet Bertrand. It was a wonderful vacation!

Unfortunately my Husbond is 78 and I am 73 the stairs was a killer and it should have been made very clear that there was so many stairs the appointment was very uncomfortable shower so so small as was the tiny bathroom there was nothing to hang your clothes out to dry other then some rusty thing on the balcony floor very very disappointing and not worth the money

Logement de qualité, avec vue sur la baie de Saint-Jean de Luz.
Au deuxième étage d'une ancienne résidence, l'appartement a été entièrement rénové avec goût. Sa situation est idéale , à deux pas du centre et des commerces. Rien ne manque quant à l'équipement. Nous gardons précieusement cette adresse pour notre prochain séjour sur la Côte Basque.

What a great choice!
Just look at the photos.... this apartment is chic and small, but so well designed we had a place for everything. And while we did not cook, the kitchen is well equipped; the washer works well.
But best of all is the location and the views! When we weren't out in town or doing daytrips, we loved sitting and watching all the activity on the beach..... a real center of the community. This was one of our best rental experiences with a charming (and talented) host! merci bien, Bertrand.

Unser Aufenthalt im Sommer 2021
Schon vor 3 Jahren waren wir in Urlaub in diesem wunderbaren Appartement. Wir hatten damals spontan beschlossen, daß wir unbedingt noch einmal herkommen wollten.
Herr Dufau-Hitou ist ein überaus freundlicher und angenehmer Gastgeber. Die Kommunikation mit ihm war (trotz Sprachbarriere) sehr einfach mit SMS, E-Mail und auch per Telefon. Uns verbindet mittlerweile eine freundschaftliche Beziehung dank der Offenheit von Herrn Bertrand.
Die Lage des Appartements ist umwerfend. Nur wenige Schritte bis zum Strand und eine wunderschöne Aussicht über die Bucht. In das Zentrum der Altstadt sind es nur 5 - 10 Minuten zu Fuß.
Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist perfekt. Es war alles für uns 2 Personen reichlich vorhanden. Alles war sehr angenehm auch zum längeren, vor allem kühlen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung. Wir hatten diesmal zum Glück eine heiße Sommerwoche gehabt.
Das Appartement ist geschmackvoll mit Bildern ausgestattet, die von Herrn Dufau-Hitou selbst gemalt wurden.
Wir werden die Zeit in der Ferienwohnung in angenehmer Erinnerung behalten und, sofern möglich, gerne wiederkommen.

Nous étions déjà en vacances dans ce merveilleux appartement il y a 3 ans. À ce moment-là, nous avons spontanément décidé que nous voulions absolument revenir ici. Malheureusement, cela a pris 3 ans à cause d'un accident. Saint-Jean-de-Luz vaut toujours la peine d'être visitée, malgré les 1200 kilomètres de trajet.
M. Dufau-Hitou est un hôte extrêmement sympathique et agréable. La communication avec lui a été très facile (malgré la barrière de la langue) par SMS, e-mail et aussi par téléphone. Nous avons maintenant une relation amicale grâce à l'ouverture de M. Bertrand.
L'emplacement de l'appartement est superbe. À seulement quelques pas de la plage et une belle vue sur la baie. Le centre de la vieille ville n'est qu'à 5-10 minutes de marche.
L'ameublement de l'appartement est parfait. Il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour nous deux. Tout était très agréable, même pour un séjour plus long et surtout frais dans l'appartement. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une semaine d'été chaude cette fois-ci.
L'appartement est décoré avec goût, avec des tableaux peints par M. Dufau-Hitou lui-même.
Nous garderons un agréable souvenir du temps passé dans l'appartement et, si possible, nous reviendrons volontiers.

Très bons contacts avec le propriétaire pour faciliter notre arrivée et départ et qui nous a par ailleurs donné de bons conseils pour des restaurants et des excursions. Très joli appartement avec beaucoup de cachet, très bien situé au pied de la plage et à quelques minutes à pieds des rues commerçantes. Vue magnifique avec grande baie vitrée, quelle que que soit l'heure de la journée. Location idéale.

Appartement moderne et rénové avec vue splendide
L’appartement est idéalement situé face à la plage de Saint Jean de Luz avec tous les commerces à proximité. Rénové récemment il est agencé avec goût, le design est moderne et l’appartement est très lumineux. Cuisine équipée permettant de cuisiner avec tout le matériel nécessaire, literie parfaite et petit balcon pour prendre l’air avec vue sur l’océan.
La relation avec le propriétaire s’est tres bien passé, il est toujours disponible et répond rapidement.
Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons sans aucun doute. Merci encore.

Nous ne pouvons pas tarir d'éloges sur cet appartement avec vue imprenable sur les couleurs changeantes de l'océan.
Endroit très lumineux, très propre, aménagé avec goût et qui offre de belles prestations.
Résidence calme, les pieds dans l'eau et à deux minutes de marche du centre historique et des rues piétonnes commerçantes.
Nous avons passé un moment exceptionnel.

L'appartement bénéficie d'une très belle vue sur la grande plage de St-Jean de Luz, à côté du Grand Hôtel, avec vue sur Socoa.
L'appartement a été récemment entièrement refait, avec une très belle décoration moderne.
Les difficultés de parking dans le centre ville mentionnés par certains vacanciers sont compensées par la proximité à 100 mètres d'un parking public couvert ; le centre ville pouvant se visiter à pied, à partir de l'appartement.
En bref, il est parfait.

L'ameublement est moderne, fonctionnel et très bien équipé, ambiance très agréable.
Hôte à notre écoute et disponible, très sympathique.
Un petit bémol, nous n'avions pas pensé à réserver de parking, pourtant proche de l'appartement, grosse erreur car difficulté pour se garer.

Un grand studio vieillot figé devenu un magnifique deux-pièces design : une révolution réussie !
Appartement que nous avions découvert il y a une vingtaine d'années, à la situation idéale, et loué pendant plusieurs étés jusqu'à son changement de propriétaire.
Redécouvert grâce à une photo de son environnement unique : transformé selon un principe que nous avions imaginé ( T1 en T2 ), avec élégance et un résultat au-delà de nos attentes, tout simplement magnifique ! Nos félicitations renouvelées aux nouveaux propriétaires : concepteurs, réalisateurs, et décorateurs.

Relaxing week
Just back from a wonderful week in st Jean de Luz. The apartment was wonderful. Great location next to the Grand Hotel on the front with fantastic views across the bay. Teastefully furnished with all mod cons. Bertrand was very helpful. We travelled by train and I wouldn't recommend bringing a car as parking in town is limited. You can get out and about by train easily. Would strongly recommend this to any couple wanting a seaside break!

Vue magnifique
Tres bien surtout pour la vue sur la mer ds toute les pièces. On dort au son des vagues, toutes fenêtres ouvertes. Appart au 3e pas d’ascenseur. Salle de bain miniature. Prévoir apporter tous les savons (corps, linge, vaisselle, lave vaisselle) essuie tout, il n’y a aucun pruduit de base en place.

We very much enjoyed our week in St. Jean de Luz in this apartment. The apartment fully met our expectations and was every bit as good as advertised. Views of the beach right out of the large windows was wonderful. The apartment is very well appointed and everything was in good condition and worked well. Bertrand was a most gracious host! We would recommend this property absolutely without reservation!

Absolutely Stunning
One always wonders if the photos are a true reflection of the actual. In this case, they are. This apartment is quality throughout and has been designed to ensure maximum comfort. The fittings are top quality, the views are magnificent and the location is absolutely the best. Our communication with Bertrand started 12 months ago and everything has been very professional. There are no hidden agendas and access was exceptionally easy. Bertrand has a wealth of knowledge about the area including San Sebastián and is always available to answer any questions. The apartment is situated within very easy walking distance of everything, even the station. We arrived from Bordeaux with a car and very quickly returned it to the rental company. There is limited parking around the apartment and with everything so close, it wasn’t needed. The St Jean De Luz public transport system isn’t too bad and easy to negotiate.
Thank you Bertrand for a fabulous stay and long lasting memories of our 2 week holiday and St Jean De Luz. We would certainly stay here again if visiting the area.
