At Deer Meadow you can 4-wheel, hike or cross-country ski right from the front door. Snowmobile trails with in 10 miles from the lodge. The decor makes you feel like you are in a museum. Wake each day and find something you haven't noticed before. Ver spacious with everything needed. Very well stocked. Mike is very responsive. Saw deer in the yard every morning. A stay here is one you won't forget.

Traveled on motorcycles and the gravel road was in great condition. Utilized the garage for parking which was nice as it rained later at night. Plenty of deck space for relaxing at the end of the day. Inside was comfortable and provided us with all our needs.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and peaceful and Mike was great to deal with. We would definitely recommend this place. It had plenty of space for the 5 adults and 2 kids.

If you like the quietness of the country with lots of trees and the beautiful sounds of birds and animals, this is definitely the place for you. It was exactly what I needed for the end of our vacation. Pleasantly located between all the stuff we wanted to do. Absolutely serene. I loved how quiet it was, I could sit out on the patio for hours.
The house had lots of extra pillows for comfort and space to lounge, the hot tub was wonderful, I just had an absolutely amazing time.
I would definitely stay here again. The property owner is very communicative if you have any questions during your stay and left lots of information about things to do. It was great!! 😍

Very nice cabin, quiet and easy to find. Mike the owner was very good to work with. Checked with us to make sure all was good when we got there. Very comfortable furniture and a nice big deck with padded chairs and porch. The garage was a nice feature as well, nice 3 door garage. Very nicely decorated. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This property is excellent for getting around the hills. The property is about 20 miles from each major destination. Well equiped and is the most at home my 5 year old has ever felt.

We really enjoyed the stay at this property. Highlights included the hot tub and fireplace, but we also appreciated that there was plenty of space for six of us. Instructions were detailed and thorough. There were games and movies there for entertainment. The kitchen had everything we needed and the pictures and decor were fun to browse. Thank you, Dresslers!

The cabin was in the perfect location in the Hills, nature was beautiful. Our kids enjoyed all there was to do at the cabin, the yard, the big porch, and the loft were their favorites. Mike was very easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Thank you

My friends and I absolutely loved staying at Mike's cabin! It had more than enough space for all 8 of us. We enjoyed playing games and watching movies by the fireplace, cooking meals together in the kitchenette area, and sitting outside in the hot tub under the stars while it snowed. Honestly one of my favorite Black Hills trips and this cabin was my favorite part!

Loved how easy the natural wool fireplace was to get started, the ease of using the hottub, how warm and inviting the home was and having the security of the garage for our cars and bikes. We chose Deer Meadow Lodge based on the beautiful photos and its proximity to trails, and both met our expectations! The cabin was just as beautiful as the photos and it is located in the middle of the Black Hills, very close to the trails that we ride. We saw lots of deer on the property each morning and on Saturday we woke to the amazing sound of bugling elk! The owner Mike is great to work with and I’m certain that we’ll be back.

We had 3 couples stay at Deer Meadow Lodge for Sturgis Bike Week and we loved it! I would highly recommend this cabin - it had everything we needed! They have the inside and outside of the cabin and garage decorated with such fun things, we loved looking through everything. The porch was where we spent most of our time due to rain during most of our stay, but we were so happy that we had a covered option that still allowed us to be outside. The location was basically in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit....Custer, Sturgis, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, etc. and it was so nice to come home to a beautiful, quiet location each night. Mike was fabulous and very attentive, he called when we arrived to check on us and see if we needed anything and then followed up with their internet provider as we were having some issues. He got right back to us to let us know there was an outage due to weather, but it was back up and working fine the next day. Note - the internet works GREAT at the cabin! Two of us are self-employed and needed to stay up to date with work, and other than that first night, we had absolutely no issues - 6 people all on their phones/laptops at the same time. Having stayed in other cabins in the area in the past, I know for a fact this is not always the case. We would definitely stay here again!

The pictures do not show the reality of this cabin. Many things were broken, not working or dirty. The strong musty smell was so terrible throughout the whole house! Everyone was stuffed up during the stay. Not sure if there is mold somewhere or what. And don’t drink the water!
Holes in screens, vents broken, lights that don’t work, ice maker broken (we fixed), dirty/stained pillows, etc. Homeowner told us it had a fully stocked closet with necessities but there was nothing in there when we arrived. The hot tub was so disgusting that we couldn’t even use it. Murky and a layer of scum. So gross! Property is not taken care… so sad. We won’t be staying at this cabin ever again!

HAVING ACCESS TO A GARAGE WAS SO NICE.......AS HE WE HAD MOTORCYCLES AND IT WAS A GOOD FEELING TO HAVE THEM INSIDE (UNDER A ROOF). CABIN IS AWESOME...... CLEAN AND IN A VERY NEAT LOCATION! PROPERTY IS QUIET....SO, NEAT TO SEE AND LISTEN TO THE NATURE. WE ALL LOVED ALL THE HISTORY AND INFORMATION ON THE PICTURES IN EVERY ROOM.

Deer Meadow Lodge is the perfect place to stay while vacationing in the Black Hills! Mike was easily available for any additional questions or needs. He was great at communicating and checking in on us. You can't beat the location of the cabin as it is very centralized to all the main sights and attractions. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable, just as described in the listing. We loved the peaceful setting and enjoyed the hot tub every evening after returning from a full day of fun! We hope to return to Deer Meadow Lodge someday!

The cabin had all the amenities we needed and more. Very detailed directions were provided, we never had any questions. Plenty of parking for the the trailer and ATV and we hit the trials right from the house, which was the best part. Will come back here again if we return to the area. Also, Mike was awesome to communicate with!
