Welcome to the Happy Trails Lodge! You will enjoy a newer 4 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with views of the hills, pine trees and pasture, centrally located at the Three Forks, intersection of Hwy 385 & Hwy 16. From here, you will have easy access to all the central hills attractions, including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sheridan Lake, Pactola Reservoir, Hill City, Keystone and the Black Hills National Forest. With such easy access to everything, you will be able to relax more, drive less, and enjoy the beautiful views right from the deck. The home features modern interior finishes, custom woodwork, creative lighting accents, 3 queen beds and one King size. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa, and a twin sleeper sofa in the living room for your extra guests. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV, bedside lamps, an overhead fan, a large closet with hangers and shelves, extra air mattresses and bedding. The house is stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, toilet paper, paper towels, 12 cup coffee maker, dishes, dish soap, utensils, crock pot, iron, bed sheets, pillows, extra blankets, quilts and pillows for extra beds, also a propane gas grill and outdoor furniture. Short drive into Hill City! Great layout with 2 bedrooms by each bath. Open layout was nice with lots of seating for dining and lounging. Big deck was a major plus. Decent internet for light usage. Lots of TVs. Put put golf within walking distance big plus for our kids. Consider checking the schedule at the nearby event center as outdoor events can be pretty noisy. House was relatively well insulated for sound, but we could have had a dance party on the deck. Overall, really enjoyed our stay!

This has been one of the best experiences we've had in the Black Hills. We are 2 couple's that come to the Hill City area every year, and have stayed in several VRBOs. Our hosts, Yvonne, has been absolutely terrific!. Its close to many amenities. You will not be disappointed!!!

Happy Trails Lodge is amazing! It is conveniently located to all of the Black Hills & attractions. It is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need & very clean & maintained very well. We have stayed at this property 3 times as it perfectly meets our needs with 4 bedrooms & 2 baths. The hosts are very easy to work with & respond quickly to any questions. We were in the area for a wedding at the diamond spur event center. This was a perfect place to stay to be close to the wedding festivities. The house had room for all 7 of us. The kitchen counter was perfect for feeding the kids. Can’t imagine what the view would be in the summer.

We stayed at Happy Trails for the first time last February & after many trips to the Black Hills through the years & staying multiple different places, we knew we’d finally found “our place!” We love the location & ease of accessibility! It is very centrally located & you can be anywhere in the Hills with a short drive on great roads! The lodge is perfectly appointed & the kitchen is equipped with everything one could possibly need! The towels & bedfing are great as well! We did not have any problems with the WiFi or Roku TV. Yvonne is very responsive to any questions & so easy to work with! We are already looking forward to our next visit! Time to check the availability calendar!! 😍

I stayed at this property with my family. It was meticulously clean and had a great open layout. Checking into the property was easy. The kitchen is huge and there was plenty of dishwear and cookware. The only thing I’d be wary of is it was a great place for a family but sounds carry since the bedrooms are off the living area. If you go with your friends and they stay up late being loud you will hear it clearly.

The house was as nice as it looked in the pictures. Great location near gas station, trails and food. Only 4 miles to Hill City where we had dinner and drinks several times. The house was very well stocked. There was even shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers! I would definitely recommend this house.

The house was centrally located near all the area attractions wit a great view. We came to this area to ride UTVs in the Black Hills and trails were nearby. Very spacious parking area to accommodate our trucks ,trailers and ITVs The house was well stocked and easily accommodated 8 adults. Check in was simple and owner was easy to contact. We did experience some maintenance concerns. A/C quit working and smoke detector were beeping. They were quick fixes

The house was extremely clean. Everything we needed for the stay was furnished. We requested an early check-in, which was granted. I had a couple of questions during our stay and they were answered promptly. The house was very close to tourist attractions so it was a very short drive to get to places we wanted to see. Our cost was less than it would have been for a hotel room and the family was able to stay in one place, allowing us to enjoy more time together. I strongly recommend this property and this host.

We stayed at this property for a few days to celebrate my husband’s birthday with friends. The house had everything we needed. The check in and out process was super easy. The only issue we had were kids and adults walking through the backyard and front yard to get to another property. Looked like a big family had rented the two houses around us.
