Great stay at Julie's Studio City home!
Julie's house was the perfect spot for my parents, who were visiting Los Angeles for a full month. The house is lovely, perfectly clean, very well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The house has everything you need and then some. My parents loved sitting out on the back patio, sitting in the sun room near the kitchen reading books, and they even got to use the wonderful pool a few times!
The house is in a perfect location in Studio City. Walkable to the grocery store and other restaurants/cafes on Ventura Blvd. Easy access to the 101 freeway, Coldwater Canyon and Laurel Canyon to get up and over the hill... couldn't be better. The neighborhood itself is quiet and picturesque, and my parents loved taking their dog on long walks in the sunshine.
Julie was a wonderful host - kind, communicative, responsive, proactive... all the good things.
We simply cannot recommend Julie and her Studio City home enough. Thank you Julie! Looking forward to coming back.

a clean, comfortable, well stocked home, with a pool, in a very cute neighborhood
This was a great place for me to stay while visiting my family for over a month. My kids and granddaughter came to hang out, swim, and have dinner most days. The pool was maintained perfectly. The house is clean, casual, and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The friendly neighborhood location was convenient, and Julie was available for any questions. I highly recommend this home.

Excellent Week-Long Hideway
The house was very nice - beds comfy and showers wonderful. Decor austere, but stylish. Location was remarkably quiet for how convenient it is. The draw though is THE POOL and HOT TUB - at least for a couple of Minnesotans in town for a wedding on a week when the highs were in the 90s. It was a glorious experience. And host Julie was great, quick to tend to a minor check-in miscue, quick to call back, and ever pleasant and accommodating. We would highly recommend.

A Lovely House In A Great Neighbourhood
We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean on arrival and Julie, who was a fantastically responsive host, had installed an Xmas tree to greet us!
The decor and furnishings were excellent and the well equipped kitchen had everything you could possibly need.
The cold weather meant we didn't make use of the enticing looking pool or jacuzzi...maybe next time?!
The location was perfect for us...south and within easy walking distance of Ventura Boulevard in a quiet, rustic and friendly street. Unreservedly recommended!

Great Home!
We had the pleasure of using this nice getaway retreat for a nice getaway for 4 friends of 30 plus years. We enjoyed the pool and all the amenities the home had to offer. Everything you need and quiet and relaxation. The location is close to everything (stores, restaurants, highways,etc) Julie was very attentive to our needs and quick to respond. Best home away from home!

Perfect home in perfect L.A. location
My wife, 2 daughters, and I were fortunate enough to stay in this home July 21-28 during our visit to the Los Angeles area. The home is located in Studio City, a very convenient area for those who are interested in spending most of their time in Burbank, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. Also, an easy commute to Malibu and LAX. The neighborhood is very clean, well maintained, and quiet. The home is beautiful on the exterior and interior. It is comfortably furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed our evenings on the back porch and in the swimming pool/hot tub.
This place is a gem. Many wonderful memories were created on this trip due, in large part, to the wonderful accomodations. The owners truly go out of their way to enhance the guest experience. I would recommend this property without hesitation. I only hope that we have an opportunity to visit again.

Beautiful and Quiet House
It was a perfect house for my family of four. Very comfortable atmosphere with great decor. The pool was an added bonus that capped off a great day from a long day of site seeing. Julie and David are great, responsive hosts and leaves thorough instructions. The location was perfect to site see all around the LA proper. Very quiet neighborhood and very close to grocery store and restaurants. We will certainly keep this on our favorites for the next family visit.

Wonderful retreat in Studio City, California
My family (spouse and two children) rented Julie & David’s lovely Studio City home for a week in June. Their home is conveniently located to shops, restaurants and hiking trails in Fryman Canyon and Dixie Canyon. The home is clean, comfortable and has a fantastic pool-which our children enjoyed every day of our stay. The furniture is comfortable and well maintained. There are many board games and Disney movies on VHS and DVD which we enjoyed during our stay. We would definitely return to Julie & David’s home. Julie was responsive to all of our inquiries. It was a top notch experience!

Studio City is a great spot from which to explore LA, and this neighborhood is particularly pleasant. The pool is a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful Southern California weather.

Great Family Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at this house. The house was wonderfully appointed, clean, and very comfortable. We had a group of 6 (5 adults, and a toddler). The back yard pool, hot tub, table, grill, and fire pit were amazing. We spent so much time and made many wonderful memories as a family. We also appreciated the two sitting areas inside - we could all be together but some could watch TV while others read, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and even serving dishes. The Ralph's grocery store is walk-able - there is also a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods in short driving distance. The laundry was also great to have right off the kitchen for our towels and swimsuits. The bedrooms were comfortable as well. The queen bedroom does lack drawer space, but there was plenty of room in the closet. The master suite is very nice. Julie was very responsive but hands off. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house is on a dead end, so not much traffic at all. All in all, this was a wonderful choice for our family and we would be happy to come back again!

We stayed here in April 2017 for seven nights at the end of our three week holiday in California.
We loved the property and location. It's easy to reach from main routes but is located on a quiet residential street.
The house is very well looked after, clean and equipped with just about everything you could need to make it a real home from home. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into what their guests might want in a holiday rental.
The recently renovated back garden, pool and jacuzzi were great. We used them most evenings after being out in the LA sunshine for the day.
The owners were friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with.
In short, we couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We loved our stay and if we're ever back in LA, we'll definitely want to stay here.

SO, we actually stayed at this property in August 2015 (no that's not a typo - and the website wouldnt let me choose a date earlier than January 2016!) - we always meant to leave a review, but had some family issues and time got away from us.....so why now? Because the property was THAT good!! We are a family of four (kids 12 and 14 at the time), and this property was everything we could have wanted. The house is large, clean, and beautifully decorated. The pool was a welcome treat every night. Julie was VERY responsive to a couple of questions we had, and I tried desperately to find the mattress make/model because it was the most comfortable bed I'd ever slept in!! The location was perfect for our L.A.vacation - we were near family, but also to all the tourist highlights. Over a year later, we still talk about our wonderful vacation, including the house!! We will definitely stay here if we are ever in the need to be there again!! Thank you Julie!

We had a lovely stay in Julie and David's home! It was in the perfect location for our stay- it took about 15 minutes to get to the home from the Burbank airport, and was also only 15 minutes from Universal Studios. We also found it convenient to our friend's home in the Beverly Hills area. The furnishings were great, the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was totally set up for us to make meals at home. Convenient to a grocery store, and the neighborhood itself was lovely- surrounded by beautiful homes and friendly neighbors with cute dogs! There is an orange tree growing in the front yard that had big luscious oranges growing on it. We brought one inside that had fallen off the tree, and the whole home smelled like fresh citrus. There are a lot of great restaurants on the close by Ventura Ave- we recommend the famous "Casa Vega" nearby. Although we had a couple of issues with the hot tub, Julie was quick to try to remedy the situation. She was very communicative and easy to reach- she couldn't have been a better host. We would certainly recommend this home to our friends in the future!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. You would never guess that you were so close to major roads. The house was well equipped with everything you needed and Julie and David made things easy with a binder that explained everything such as how to work the appliances,etc. They also left us a welcoming note and a bottle of wine, such a nice gesture. Even though the neighborhood had the feeling of being off the beaten path it was very close to a grocery store and many shops and restaurants. We would gladly stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed this well located home in Studio City. On a street with shady trees and well-groomed yards, this house is close to grocery stores, restaurants, and great shopping. We live in a more rural location in Oregon, so we took advantage of this ideal location to walk to dinner and shopping. However, the favorite part of our stay was sitting quietly in the back yard with our feet in the pool - book in hand. It was hot while we were there and we used the pool at every opportunity. The kitchen was well stocked and large enough for all of us to help in cooking. And, there was room for our daughter and her friend to stay a night with us as well. I highly recommend this beautiful home for a stay in the Los Angeles area. We hope to stay again soon.

We stayed for two weeks in Julie and David's house in mid to late September while visiting our daughter and her family, who live nearby. The house was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of room, the premises were clean, and the house was fully furnished with towels, linens, kitchen utensils, and other items that made it seem like home. We especially enjoyed the pool, which our two year old granddaughter and her four year old cousin loved. Julie was very responsive to our questions. The location was also good, being only two blocks away from Ventura Boulevard and close to Coldwater Canyon. We hope to stay again on our next trip to LA.
