About this chalet rental
Located in Utah, this attractive chalet for $240 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. For your safety, along with our normal cleaning we disinfect common surface areas. We also have 100MG Internet service. In the winter we a first priority road for the snow plow and have never had a problem with snow. I also clear the driveway when it snows. No 4x4 needed. Listen to the creek, watch the wildlife and be only a mile from town. This home has Australian Cypress hardwood floors, indoor grill, heated by a Tulikivi (A soapstone fireplace from Finland), and cooled by AC in each bedroom. All electricity is 100% solar. No detail was left out on this unique layout with beautiful natural wood to create a lodge setting in a compact space. The living area is up one flight of stairs. So be aware there are stairs to get to the main level. On the main floor there is one master bedroom with a king sized bed. There are two loft bedrooms accessed by a shipman’s ladder each with a queen sized bed and an additional single trundle bed. There is another raised sleeping area behind Japanese Shoji doors that houses two twin mattresses as well as a carpeted play area. Sleeping for 10 can be easily accommodated in this unique layout. Jacuzzi tub and a home office make this a place to come home and relax after a good day skiing, hiking or biking. The kitchen is fully equipped and the home includes a washer and dryer. Bring a DVD and use our 110 inch Projection screen with surround sound. The canyon road goes for 4-5 more miles and then ends in wilderness area. With the Logan to Jackson bike race and the Top of Utah Marathon both in the valley, this home is passed everyday by athletes who are training in a beautiful setting. Outside the house is a deluxe private playground with sand box, playhouse, swings, slides, basketball hoop, and soccer field. There are 8 acres of land to take a walk across the bridges along the creek. We have seen deer (almost every day), raccoons, moose, fox, rabbits, pheasants, owls, and other wildlife that live in harmony with this home. Yet we are one mile from the post office and McDonalds. We have the benefit of quiet seclusion and still close to town. It is like our own private oasis. We wish to share a dream that we created in a beautiful setting. There are 8 acres to explore. It was so cold while we were there, but the stove in the middle of the house kept things toasty warm, with such a cozy ambiance! We loved seeing turkeys, walking the trails, floating bark boats in the creek, playing sports, and just sitting around the huge dining table playing games, coloring, or putting puzzles together. It has become a yearly tradition for our family. We’ll be back!

Beautiful location. Clean place. Loft access (ladders) is a little precarious, especially for older folks who might need easy bathroom access. Overall, nice place in beautiful location.

This home was Gorgeous and in a beautiful location. Everything was immaculate and the owners provide everything you need to make this a home away from home. We enjoyed movies on the projector and a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. We even had a family of deer visit us while playing a game of PIG on the basketball court. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We loved it and will be visiting again!

We wanted to take our kids to the slopes for the first time. Instead of going to a busy resort we decided on somewhere out of the way. We found this here. The cabin/lodge was in a perfect location. The lodge location was quiet with room to play inside and out. We were about 20 minutes from a perfect small ski resort and within 90 minutes of another. We tried both and were not disappointed. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I think we wished for was a second bathroom. The only source of heat (it was 25 degrees outside) is the wood burning stove. We learned quickly that this is not an ordinary wood stove..... You make a fire and the stone heats up and keeps the entire place at a cozy temperature all day. Too much fire and you're gonna want to open the windows and doors:) Do not be worried about staying warm as there is plenty of firewood on site mere steps away from the stove, so no toting or splitting required. The communication with the owner is great. He responds very quickly to any questions or issues. There is very little cell service (we have Verizon) in the lodge, however the wifi works great. There is a projection TV, however we stayed busy on the slopes and playing in the abundance of snow while we were there. Overall I would highly recommend this lodge and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time in the home and the property was awesome to explore the trails. Awesome amenities, we really enjoyed the basketball court and the outside fire pit. Our stay was short , but we would definitely recommend it, Especially for longer stays.

Had a great stay. Enjoyed the house and property. The only downside was didn’t realize the fireplace was the only heat source so when we arrived house was very cold and had three kids under the age of two. But once we got the home heated didn’t have problems again. The house stayed warm. Had an enjoyable family time.

My family of four had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and the soap stone stove/fireplace is beautiful and cranks out heat. We loved exploring the private creek and woods behind the house with our dog and the jet tub is very relaxing at the end of the day. The kids loft area was fun for them as well.

Beautiful Property!
Absolutely beautiful property ! Tucked into the canyon and heavily wooded. Very comfortable and convenient. Master bed is very comfortable and house was immaculate. Great outdoor play area for littles.
FYI for travelers needing to work- the house wifi is great however Verizon cell phones do not get ANY service ( calls or text). Total dead zone. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet and time away from the office hustle this spot is perfection.

Such a Fun Time!
This property is amazing. We loved the outdoors around the property the best. We explored the creek, played soccer and basketball, and cooked in the fire pit. Everything was great and we were so impressed with the cabin. It was clean and there were plenty of towels, which I appreciated. You have everything you need to enjoy a mountain experience all on this property. It is gorgeous.

Amazing!
What a great place to stay! It felt so secluded but close enough to town that we were busy everyday with fun activities. We loved the DVDs and games that were provided and always had fun walking down to the creek! We also loved watching the doe and her fawn walk through the trees every morning. Everything came together to make the perfect trip for us! Wonderful property!

My family is obsessed with being in the mountains/nature but it can be so hard with an autistic teenager that can’t seem to live without Wi-Fi. This property has it ALL! We were completely secluded and given complete privacy with our own trees, River, trails, basketball, baseball fun, soccer fun, AND dog fun, but we were close enough to town to drive 5 minutes to get what we forgot. The Wi-Fi was excellent, the movie screen was a favorite, and the fire place with all the wood we could use was a dream. There are not many property owners that allow dogs so we took extra care to make sure we left no mess. If you have dogs, please do the same so we can all keep enjoying it. I loved being able to let me dogs run off leash with so much land. The pet fee is very small and completely worth it. You would not know there were animals allowed if you didn’t ask because the property is kept so clean. Everything you need is available to use. We will be back multiple times a year just to get away from the noise and relax. Thanks Tom for answering all of our questions and being a great (distant) host!

I loved the homey feel of the property - and lots of room for the kids to run around. My only complaint (and it's not really a problem! ) was having one bathroom. I really liked the location and the unique wood stove...I wish it had been colder so we could have fired it more!

Our family needed a location big enough to have all nine of us together while supporting a distant relative in a wrestling match. We had a blast playing games walking with the grandchildren around the property and relaxing in a secluded location not bothered by anyone. The management was extremely responsive attended to our every need and we would definitely stay here again!

It is an isolated area so no traffic but still just a short drive to town. I would put a warning though that two of the "bedrooms" are pretty much just balconies to the main room so not much privacy and you need to climb a ladder to get to them, so people need to be a bit more agile. It was no problem for us but I could see it with older people being difficult! Overall a great stay and we enjoyed our time.

All-inclusive getaway!
Our 5 kids ages 3-14 love this home! They insisted they didn't want to leave the property for the 2 days we were there because it had everything we needed: field for playing ball, playground, plenty of forest to explore, firepit, warm cozy house, games, projector, toys, etc. We even saw 2 turkeys! Having only 1 bathroom was a little tough, and the kids had an easier time getting up the loft ladders than my husband and I did, but we all had a wonderful time in our own fall forest hideaway!

My only comment is that if you plan to stay here with young kids, just be advised that the ladders leading up to the lofts are steep, so if you are worried about little kids going up & down the ladders, you might want to wait until they are a bit older. For everybody else, this is a fantastic place to stay.
