I just can’t say enough great things about this amazing spot! The location is absolute perfection there’s nothing like sitting on your own porch watching the waves and the kids playing in such close access to run back-and-forth for whatever is needed throughout the day. The kitchen was so much fun to cook in it was equipped with everything you could imagine. I like to cook so each night I enjoyed fixing a meal for my family looking at the window at the beautiful view and that table fit Everyone And we had so many nights of eating and telling funny tales and just great quality family time. We were so thankful for the chairs and umbrellas we did not have to buy anything for our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor showers. Our teenagers loved having their own balcony/patio up top And sat out there most nights listening to music and playing ! This is definitely a place we would rent again it was wonderful!!! Also the decorations were impeccable a Nancy Myers film could be there at any point

Our friend group had a blast staying at the windblown cottage. Having beach front access was amazing and the charm of the house made it even more special.

The view and access to the beach was amazing. We had a two year old, a four year old and and 82 year old. It was so nice to have the beach right outside our door. The house was also very well equipped with everything we needed. We loved every minute of it! Hope to be back again next year.

We love the location and views from the back decks! Sunsets are amazing. This is a rustic cottage with a ton of charm. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. Well stocked kitchen and lots of room for 8 adults. Everyone enjoyed the week.

Amazing Location
Windblown Cottage is a hidden gem on 30A. It’s history, location, and charm are second to none. Our favorite place was the expansive back porch that offered an uninterrupted view of the gorgeous beach. The owners were extremely responsive to all of our questions. They were personable and friendly. Can’t wait to return!

A little piece of heaven
Windblown cottage made my family fall inlove with the beach all over again! We were there during spring break and while most of 30A was super chaotic, our area was super chill and relaxing. Windblown has been around for a long time. Way before all of the new construction everyone sees on 30A. When you walk in you immediately see the family history on the walls. It is obvious that making family memories is what matters most! The beach house itself is shabby chic in such a perfect way! Out your back door is your own private walk down to the beach (made the BIGGEST difference for us!!!) Having little ones that can go back and forth with no cause for concern… Made this place PRICELESS! Windblown has become part of my family’s MUST DO vacation spots from here forward.

Perfect getaway
We loved our stay at the cottage! The house is in a perfect location near shops and restaurants, but you still feel removed from the crowds at Rosemary and Seaside. Our only criticism is the house was not clean. The floors in the bathrooms had hair stuck to them, the door jams and refrigerator handle were dirty, and it could have used a thorough dusting. With that being said we had a wonderful time and would stay again!

One of the very few beach houses on 30A
The rustic and well worn beach house provided a comfortable venue to meet up for a few days with long time friends from Pennsylvania. We all enjoyed having a place right on the beach 😎

Charming Classic Beach Cottage
Our family had a wonderful stay in this charming home. The spacious porch overlooking the Gulf was our favorite spot. The kitchen was fully equipped which was appreciated and the location was convenient to all that 30A has to offer. Being able to enjoy the beach any time of day or night made for a memorable trip.

Lovely beach cottage
Windblown cottage was a great place to stay for my family. The beachfront location was perfect for my children who enjoyed playing in the sand and swimming everyday! My one criticism is that the house was not thoroughly cleaned from the previous occupants. There was toothpaste in the sinks, dirt on the floor and a pair of underwear wedged in between the bed and the wall. I notified the owner of this. I think he may need to hire a different cleaning company! Otherwise, lovely cottage and perfect location!

Fantastic location and the perfect house for a quick (or longer) vacation. the house is a refreshing sight on an otherwise unremarkable set of condos - and the views from upstairs and down are terrific. Beach access so perfect. Look forward to going back!

An Absolute Dream!!
I can't even begin to say enough great things about this property! The pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the most magical trip we could have asked for. The house is gorgeous! You really feel like you are at home at your own private beach house. All the little details make it feel so cozy. We were here in February, so it was a little too cold to enjoy the beach very much, but the views from the porch are unreal!! We are already trying to plan a time when we can come back in the summer! We also decided last minute to stay an extra day and the owners were so accommodating. If you are wondering if you should book this house, do it!! You will not be disappointed!!

Quintessential Cape Cod Cottage like no other on 30A!
If you’re looking for character and not your cookie cutter beach house, this is the house for you. You’ll feel like you’re at your best friend’s home that’s been in the family for decades. It’s literally in the sand, with views your next door neighbors only could wish for. People stopped on the beach every day to gaze at the home. One of a kind!!

Perfect beach house!!
We fell in love with this beach house and will be coming back again. The owners were great to work with and took care of all our concerns about the beach being open this week. So glad that they did and we were able to make this trip and enjoy their home. The kitchen is fully stocked with any appliance, pot, pan, bowl or spice you could imagine. So many beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards that we left ours in the car for the week. Wonderful Old fashioned beach house !! Perfect for our family vacation!!! Thanks again for all your patience in working with us.

Awesome Vintage Beachhouse!
We loved this shabby-chic beachfront cottage!! There is a view of the ocean from every room! It was hard to leave that wonderful porch, even in the rain it was our favorite place to be! The sunsets are magnificent! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable! Loved the layout of the house! The upstairs bedrooms lead out to a private beachfront balcony! We slept like babies! I actually like that we had to bring our own linens and towels, made it feel like home. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Week on the beach at windblown cottage
Is a little rough around the edges but that is part of the charm. Loved the porch over looking the beach. Hammock great for napping. Can’t beat walking 20 feet to the beach. The up stairs bedrooms both had leaks the first night during an exceptional heavy rain requiring the beds to be moved around. Cleaning crew needs to do a better as the showers had a little bit of mold in them as did some of the air vents. Overall all family agrees we would rent it again. It is like staying in an old fashion beach house instead of the ever increasing multimillion dollar luxury houses.
FYI. Be sure to read the reservation instructions, we were 2 hours into the 8 hour drive before we realized we needed to bring sheets and towels.

Wonderful beach house
I could not ask for a better place to stay. The gulf front view is one of a kind, walk out the door and you are right there. The atmosphere of this house is absolutely charming, kitchen well equipped and outdoor shower great after a day on the beach. The upper deck allows a framed view of the starts at night. Just a lovely place to stay. 5 stars for sure

Love, love this beach house!
We love this beach house! This house is so "Ernest Hemingway - shabby chic." (needs a little TLC.) We have been vacationing here for over 20 years and there is no place like the Windblown Cottage in South Walton. It was the perfect spot for our vow renewal two years ago! It's a quick 10 minute bike ride away from Rosemary Beach and a short drive to Seaside. The outside shower is great! And the porch is AWESOME!
Lee is great to work with and we hope to spend many more summers vacationing here!
Can't wait to come back!!

Wonderful cottage with everything you need...
We had a wonderful time during our week here. Planning was a breeze as Lee was easy to work with. We went with friends for a total of 4 adults and 4 kids which seemed like the perfect amount of people for this darling home. It felt like staying at a good friend's house. The cottage was thoroughly equipped with sand toys, rafts and beach toys. It even had some essentials in the pantry (salt, pepper, spices). It was an amazing vacation and I look forward to coming back some time soon.

Seacrest Beach House
We stayed here for our children's Spring Break, April 2012. Our children are ages ranging from 9 - 15. We loved the location and enjoyed the many benefits of being right on the ocean. Sunsets from the huge front porch were spectacular and the ability to enjoy viewing dolphins, sea turtles, crabs and water fowl was so different when you can see the activity all hours of the day. The upper balcony was another plus, to have the ocean surf and night sky to view from two of the upper bedrooms. The house is comfortable and the owner is very accommodating to have lots of water toys, sand toys, chairs, umbrellas, and a well- stocked eat-in kitchen - for families to cook, grill, and just enjoy the house and beach.
This is a perfect house for entertaining, beach fires, and having the beach uncrowded and open every single day. The walk or bike ride to Rosemary is not far and the bike path makes it an easy trek. These are not posh digs, it has a lovely vintage feel that we enjoyed with a comfortable lived-in feel that allowed our stay with kids easy and relaxed. We would love to return to Windblown for another stay!

We spent a week here in June 2011. Needs a little TLC but still a great place to stay if you just want to sun and relax! The simplicity takes you to a Hemingway state of mind. Great!
