Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc.
Corner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away.
Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks!
Whole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood.
Five blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is five blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk.
Uber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here.
DC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by.
Fantastic neighborhood. Perfect spot to explore DC from. This building has electronic locks so you check-in is easily. This property is on the fourth floor (three floors up from lobby level). There is an elevator, but to get to the lobby area you will need to walk up about ten steps. Like many buildings of this era in DC the building heat/air conditioning system that either heats or cools, depending on time of year. It does not do both simultaneously. If you have any questions just let us know.
Inquire about parking PRIOR to booking please. There is very little need to bring a vehicle, as there is great metro and bikeshare access, and rideshares are inexpensive and readily available. Most places you want to go to in DC won't have parking when you get there. 24/7 street parking near this property is possible with a street parking pass, which can be obtained from the DC DMV with a copy of a lease and vehicle information. It costs around $250 for a six month pass. Free street parking with no pass needed is free and open to all every night, all weekend, and two hours each weekday. We have about five offstreet parking spaces in the immediate area. We rent them from neighbors. IF a paid space is available they usually go for $300 a month. Union Station parking garage is five blocks away and can do monthly rentals including oversize vehicles for around $300 a month.
A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Fall and winter months are very high demand, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid.
And of course it's a presidential election year.
Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

Great Location
Property is located in convenient, safe area. We travel with out dog, so we are always concerned about finding areas where we can take them out to do their business. There are areas very close to this rental to take your dog out. I always felt safe walking my dog around the area of the Capital Building, no matter what time it was.

D.C. charm in great location!
Highly recommend this clean, well appointed property that has everything you need for a great trip in D.C. The location is safe, walking distance to many restaurants and perfect for the National Mall experience. Luis, the property manager, was wonderful to deal with and went beyond our expectations before and throughout our stay. Will definitely be back!

DC Stay
The location is top notch to the power seat of D.C. Walking score is a 10. The apartment was a perfect size for two in a comfortable queen bed. Pullout couch needs replacing if a third person is to utilize it. Property manager was kind and gracious, adding to a perfect stay. Would stay here again and recommend this location to others. Clean, modern, safe and convenient to all DC has to offer.

Just a terrific location. Really really great area. Walk to everything. The apartment isn't huge but that's big city life. Light and bright. Beautifully done kitchen. Very quiet (top floor). Very well stocked. Comfy queen size bed. Movein was very easy with coded locks. We would most definitely stay again.

The spouse and I stayed in this cozy apartment (condo?) for part of November 2016. What can I say? It's gorgeously done and I can't see how you could get any better location. We would most certainly stay here again. You walk out the front door of the building and the Supreme Court if across the street. The entire National Mall starts right there. Amazing restaurants are an easy walk right down the block to Massachusetts Avenue. It may not be a huge place but it's more than enough for two people. It's got really high ceilings and the kitchen is amazing. The owner was very response and even has a personalized Google map with recommendations for restaurants and things like that.
