PLEASE SEND AN INQUIRY PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT PRICING. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Pricing may vary significantly depending on length of stay, specific dates, etc. For longer term stays there may be discounts possible.
Guests have complete access and privacy. NOT a shared space
Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc.
Corner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away.
Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks!
Whole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood.
Four blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is four blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk.
Uber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here.
DC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by.
Perfect spot to explore DC from. Excellent neighborhood for longer term stay as well.
Apartment has electronic locks so late check in is no problem. This building is on the third floor (two floors up from lobby level). There is an elevator, but to get to the lobby area you will need to walk up about ten steps. Like many buildings of this era in DC the building heat/air conditioning system that either heats or cools, depending on time of year. It does not do both simultaneously. If you have any questions just let us know.
Inquire about parking PRIOR to booking please. There is very little need to bring a vehicle, as there is great metro and bikeshare access, and rideshares are inexpensive and readily available. Most places you want to go to in DC won't have parking when you get there. 24/7 street parking near this property is possible with a street parking pass, which can be obtained from the DC DMV with a copy of a lease and vehicle information. It costs around $250 for a six month pass. Free street parking with no pass needed is free and open to all every night, all weekend, and two hours each weekday. We have about five offstreet parking spaces in the immediate area. We rent them from neighbors. IF a paid space is available they usually go for $300 a month. Union Station parking garage is five blocks away and can do monthly rentals including oversize vehicles for around $300 a month.
A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Fall and winter months are very high demand, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid.
And of course it's a presidential election year.
Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

A great place in a safe and amenable location. The property is older, with some of those quirks (like an elevator with a warning to be aware that it may get stuck- I took the risk many times and saw no consequence) but very clean and nicely dressed.
There's enough room comfortably for two, and my 15 pound dachshund enjoyed the space as well. A larger dog or family may find the place a little too cozy, but it's perfect for 2-3 people, and a small pet.
Lots of street parking is available in the area, even when we stayed on memorial day weekend. Thank you again Luis & Brian! We had a great time in DC and loved being in the capitol district.

Best Location in DC, Everything You Need
One couldn't ask for a better location in DC and the price was excellent. Situated behind the Supreme Court and part of a traditional DC neighborhood, this well apportioned studio has everything you need for a great stay. Comfy bed, full kitchen and good sized bathroom with plenty of towels. Host was awesome, very communicative and arranged for us to have parking off site just a couple blocks away at a reasonable rate. (Note parking is a big issue in DC so this was extremely helpful). The unit is part of a larger building with multiple units. The full time tenants were very nice and even helped us with our luggage. Highly recommend for a great value stay.

Awesome for 1 or 2 people!
This place is exactly as advertised. A very small but very manageable and comfortable space. The bed is comfy, there’s cable, standard bathroom and kitchen. The real wow factor is the location- you are only separated from the Supreme Court building by a single street. The capitol is literally steps away. Many rentals in the general DC area claim to have excellent location, but this one cannot be beat. The only way to stay closer to the capitol/monuments/national mall would be to sleep on their lawns. The hosts are also very accommodating, this was the second of three of their properties that I’ve stayed at and they are quick with communication and do their best to meet any requests, even when you’re being a pain in the butt. I would definitely recommend this listing for any individual or couple looking to spend a few nights in the best location in DC!
*Slight negative is that the elevator doesn’t seem to work. Taking the stairs wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth noting for someone with different needs.

Amazing Location
We had three days to try to fit in as much of DC as possible. This amazing unit was right in the heart of everything. We were able to walk to just about everything. Unit has everything you will need for your stay and although we didn’t use kitchen it was nice to have. Will stay again when return to DC.

We had a wonderful time staying in this apartment! We felt safe and could walk to the Union Station, Metro and restaurants. With the sofa bed open, it was a tight squeeze in the apartment. However the apartment was clean, quiet, and comfortable and we would definitely recommend it!

Super Convenient Location + Excellent Customer Service
I have very much enjoyed my stay here! I have rented this apartment for over two years for a number of reasons.
The location is unbelievable, especially if you are have work on or near the Hill, or want to do your sightseeing on the National Mall. No exaggeration, if you walk out the front door of the building you are looking directly at the rear of the Supreme Court building. My commute is a 7 minute walk, and it is about a 12 minute walk to either the Capital South metro stop or Union Station. The Capitol, the National Mall, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress are just as near. Eastern Market and the wonderful restaurants of Barracks Row are about 7 or 8 blocks away - roughly a 15 minute walk.
This rental has been especially great for a young single woman like me - this building is in one of the safest, cleanest neighborhoods in the District. There is a Capitol Police guard station directly across the street and on the north and south corners of the block. I have never once felt unsafe walking alone late at night in this area.
The apartment has high ceilings and plenty of natural light from three large windows. It is nicely furnished with a large television, fast internet, a ceiling fan, and all major appliances, including a combined washer/dryer, fridge, dishwasher, and oven. The floors are hardwood with an area rug, and a tiled area in the kitchenette and in the bathroom. The water pressure is excellent and the taps can be turned to scalding hot if you like. There is ample storage space for a unit of this size - there are three closets, one dresser, and a TV stand/cabinet.
The building itself is quiet and the hallways stay clean. The other renters tend to be friendly. It is an older building to be sure, but it has been well taken care of and modernized. If you rent a room on the east side of the building your view will be of an alleyway, but you will hear virtually no noise from traffic and other noise pollution typical of the city - very quiet!
Most importantly, the owner is very responsive and accommodating. Any time there has been a maintenance issue it has been resolved either the same day, usually within a few hours, or the very next day. I have enjoyed living here!
