This is our 2nd time renting this place. It has been upgraded since we were last there which was a nice surprise. There were 5 of us and it worked perfectly for our needs. Plenty of space and ample cooking supplies. It rained everyday so it was nice to have the screened-in porch to hang out since we couldn't do the beach. Only area of concern was the WIFi. It was basically non-existent. We had to go to a public place to be able to conduct virtual meetings for work. So, if you need to work from the house, keep this in mind.

The bedroom with the bunk beds gets a little stuffy—I know a ceiling fan there might be problematic, but some kind of fan would be nice. The screened in porch was great, but it might need a larger/second fan as well. Overall, though, we were very satisfied with the house.

The house is spacious and a great location. You can only see the ocean from the roof top deck and you will need bug spray to stay on the deck but it is great for sun bathing or just hanging out.

There were 5 of us and the place was perfect. Utilizing the pullout couch, everyone had their private space. Place was clean and updated. Absolutely loved the screened in porch and the balcony with a peak of the ocean. Would definitely rent it again.

We had a nice time. It was clean and as pictured/ described. We loved all the bike trails and wide sidewalks. It was interesting that the laundry room was in a locked closet outside under the carport. Also, the pool was at a nearby hotel.

We had a great time at this house! It was perfect for me, my husband, my daughter & her husband, my husbands mother & our 3 granddaughters. We loved the screened in back porch and the upper deck. Our favorite part was the convenient beach access right outside the back door! We would definitely choose to stay here again in the future!

we really enjoyed our long weekend stay at americana dream! the house was clean and the decor adorable! everything is updated and nice..it's the perfect place for a couple of families to share. the crows nest was nice this time of year and the beach access just steps from the back door was perfect!!! this was our 2nd stay with jekyll realty and it was perfect both times! we will be back!

Awesome location!
We really enjoyed this house. I liked how the description of the house had a floor plan so I knew exactly how to arrange people. It is unusual to have bunk beds, but I have 3 kids and that is very helpful.
It would be great to have a more complete list of what is available in the kitchen and what is not. I brought dishwasher soap, but it was there. No salt or anything like that. There was a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. Some might find the water on the island has a taste so may want to bring it or buy it at the small grocery right next to Jekyll Realty.
Towels and sheets were not provided which was fine, but you better be in decent shape if you have to slither up to make the top bunk!
Loved how close we were to the beach and all the fun stuff on Jekyll. Such a lovely view from the porch on the top of the house. Quiet and peaceful area. Great wi-fi and TVs. A replacement of the king mattress is probably warranted here as my husband and I both found it could use it. One side in particular was worn.
In short, a good time was had by all here. I would definitely return!

Family Biking Vacation
Everyone in our group of six adults and two kids (5 and 7) loved this house and it’s location. The crosswalk to the beach is right outside the back door.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. A quirk we hadn’t seen in our many house/condo rentals was ice trays instead of an ice maker in the refrigerator. Nor had we ever not had bed linens and towels provided. They’re available for rental or you can bring your own. Not an issue—just new to us.
The house provides an excellent washer and dryer.
The house also has a sun deck with table and chairs for dining. We enjoyed eating up there and just relaxing. A screened patio had two dining tables and a seating area. The indoor dining table seated our group of eight very comfortably.
This was a biking group, and we covered practically every trail on Jekyll. We rented an adult/kid tandem bike for the five year old who wasn’t proficient enough to ride bike trails. He loved it-highly recommend.
The house is located at the end of a short side street with hardly any traffic and was very quiet.
We would definitely rent this house again.

This was the best choice for our visit. Great house, great location. Beach access just out the back door. The only complaints I have is that the a/c is locked and can't adjust below 70, which made it warm with 7 people in the house and so many windows. The second complaint is the refrigerator does not have an ice maker. Other than that, it was a brilliant stay.

Great location and overall layout was good, but the place was filthy and not as nice as the pics online. Examples: air returns and surrounding area on ceiling is caked with dust; baseboards and trim throughout the house is in poor condition and are filthy; light fixtures throughout the house are not flush with the ceiling and as a result there are constantly flies, wasps, spiders, etc invading the living space; shower in guest bath was dirty - looked like someone just finished shaving in it; tables and chairs in porch area were not wiped down. Also, the gas grill was out of propane and the cookware was so poor that I went out and bought a new pan to get by for the week. Enjoyed the stay at Jekyll but won’t be coming back to this house.

The home is tastefully decorated but could really use more cookware (especially for large families); a griddle; bigger pots and pans; the Keurig did not work.

My family and I loved staying in the Americana Beach house! The location was excellent---especially having the walkway from our backyard directly to the beach. With 2 very young children, this was great! The floorplan of the house was also perfect, and the patriotic decor was a very nice touch. We had all the amenities we needed (including the washer and dryer that worked great) and we also enjoyed the large screened porch on the back. I had been told that the house would be thoroughly cleaned before our arrival, but it appeared the cleaning crew had done a very quick job and not been thorough---we had to clean crumbs, etc off the kitchen counters, and it was obvious several areas just hadn't been cleaned. Other than that, we were very pleased!

Wonderful Home
Wonderful location. Be aware of the tide...high tide doesn't allow beach time but that was dinner time so no worries. There is absolutely no linens! So bring fitted sheets, any towels; beach and bathing towels and wash clothes. Bring kitchen towels as well. Kitchen was well stocked but no dishwasher tablets or paper towels. Overall, we enjoyed the house. Truly was beautiful with a wonderful amount of space in the backyard for the kids to play. Will def be back.

Great Weekend with friends
The house is updated and was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was more stocked than most rental houses (kitchen gadgets, cooking tools, etc.) which was nice because we cooked most meals. Restricted beach access is mentioned in the description, but beach access is only available 2 hours before and after low tide. The house has a gas grill, but propane is not included in the rental.

Wonderfully clean and neat home. Easily accommodated 4 teens, my husband and myself as well as my father-in-law. Beach access immediately behind the house. A deer family came to visit one afternoon.

August 2020 Stay
Lovely week! As our family has grown, our needs have increased. Americana Beach House was perfect. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a sofa bed too! Next year, the beach access will be finished and a walk to the beach will be easier. We were able to do all we wanted here.
Like many, we found trash & recycle cans full but they were emptied M&W and we got by. Only negative was flies: we went to market to purchase a fly swatter, but they were out of them! Pesky critters!

American Beach house was amazing!!
We Loved this property! The pictures did not do it justice. It was an older home, but updated & this met all our expectations. We are hotel snobs to an extent, We love all Hilton’s or Hampton Inns, this met our qualifications. We had 9 people. It plenty of room inside & out. Enough room for 14 people if you needed. Easy access to the beach just right out your back door. Now we didn’t have any babies, toddlers or elderly or they wouldn’t have been able to over the big rocks. But there is beach access 3 houses down. You can see the ocean from the top deck, over the trees. You can’t see the waves, but you can hear them from the deck. We loved the small island & the beach was like we were on our private island, no one was around us at all, no matter what time we was in the beach. You can def. social distance here! This was our first trip to Jekyll but we are already planning to come back!

Amazing Beach House
Our stay came in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. My wife, kids and i had all been working long hours to complete work and school We needed this week to reconnect with ourselves, and with each other. The spot was perfect -- the sounds, views and smell of the ocean was perfect. the beautiful house provided us with everything we needed -- and more. there was plenty of space to stretch out, and just enough cozy place to come together. we cooked just about every night, and then retired to the back porch and talk about all that is going on. We look forward to returning, and would recommend this beautiful home to friends and family.
