About this house rental

This is our home away from home! It is so nice to get a break from the hustle and bustle and this home has been our Lake Haven for the past 10 years. Our large family loves coming here to boat, fish, and kayak! We love opening it up to other families who want the chance to get away too.

Maybe you're having a small family reunion or you just want a nice lake getaway with the kids. If you are looking for a party house, this isn't the place for you! If you are looking for a quiet place to get away with family or friends, this will go beyond your expectations!

200 ft of direct lake access. Sleeps 8 in bedrooms. Breathtaking sunset views. Fire pit. Grill. There is also a playground across the street. Downstairs has a pool table and poker table. Fun for the adults and kids!

Perfect place to stay for weddings or family get togethers. Fishing right from the shore. It is just a few blocks away from downtown Albert Lea if you want to get out for the night.

We had a traveling baseball tournament in the area. We booked 3 different VRBOs for the team and families and this was by far the nicest. The master bedroom is huge with a walk-in shower and 8 shower-heads. Perfect for post game clean up. We talked to other teams that went the hotel route and no one was impressed with the options. The cost seems high at first in comparison, but was affordable when divided between 4 families. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the downtime between games. I highly recommend this property if you are in the area!

My siblings and I had a wonderful time reconnecting from our homes in Minnesota, Wisconsin, California, and Washington. Albert Lea is our ancestral home and the Lake Haven was the perfect setting for our gathering.

The pictures really don’t do this house and location justice. This house is beautiful and super spacious… perfect for a family vacation. They are in a great location and have all the toys you need. You can walk to Albert Lea’s downtown area and along the lake, which is beautiful. They have adult and kid kayaks, fishing poles, life jackets, yard games, and a lily pad. Perfect for the kids and adults. Montana was extremely kind and very easy to communicate with. We had a fantastic week and hope to be back.

Beautiful home - more than enough room for our family of 8! Would definitely stay again. Montana was very responsive when we had questions. We suggested a ladder for the dock and he said it was already ordered. Beautiful sunsets - sitting on the deck was so relaxing!

Overall our experience was good and we had a nice time as a family. Admittedly, I should have researched more and known that the area doesn’t have anything as far as boat rentals or fishing charters, so we ended up going about 40 miles south to a lake in Iowa for that. We did fish off the dock and caught a few bass, bluegill and catfish. We also took a day trip to the Mall of America which was fun. The town is cute but not much to do or nicer places to eat, but the house was pretty and large enough for our family, which was nice. I had a bit of trouble communicating with the owner but he did eventually respond (especially when we set the alarm off checking in, lol). The house was pretty clean, too, but the outdoor spaces were so overrun with cobwebs and spiders we couldn’t even use the chairs around the fireplace. :/ Also, I suggest checking the place out before bringing everything (like spices, cooking oils, butter, toilet paper, etc) because a lot got left behind by other renters which was awesome, but could be frustrating if you bought it all in advance only to find out you didn’t need to. Overall it was a nice family trip. Thanks!

Nice house, great location in middle of town and lake front. Nice to have the kayaks, firepit, pool table, plenty of TV's and large kitchen. We will stay again.

Beautiful home. The house and backyard was perfect for our get-together. Plenty of space for everyone. When it started to rain, there was plenty of room and entertainment in the house for us. Only negative was the propane tank on the grill went out midway through grilling. Would book again.

Property is beautiful, well equiped for a good time on the lake. The only issue was the A/C unit and the property management did everything in their power to get it functional during our stay. I would recommend this home to anyone.

This place is above and beyond anything i would expect in my home town of Albert Lea and above and beyond what i expected at the rate paid. The place was perfect for family to congregate after a party for my moms 80th bday. The lake front is well maintained with a great fire pit. I could live soley in the master bathroom space. We used one of the puzzles provided for some entertainment along with the pool table, bar, and kayaks. We also thoroughly enjoyed a suggested pontoon ride on Albert Lea Lake. One suggestion, add a hand rail for the front door for those less nimble.

This home is set up so well for group get togethers. The game space was a lot of fun. Outdoor eating area was lovely. Evening s’mores by the fire pit brought us all together. Lots of opportunities to connect in a welcoming space.

We visited Albert Lea from Las Vegas as part of a 16 day road trip. Our stay was 3 nights and it was absolutely fabulous. My mother grew up in Albert Lea and has several relatives/friends who live there. The house was great for entertaining a few guests for dinner and enjoying the sunset on the fabulous porch. Everything we needed was provided. I highly recommend staying at this property.

This house was amazing. The pictures don’t come close to doing it justice. The house had everything we needed and more for our weekend vacation. It’s literally right in the water, had more than enough space inside for everyone and the backyard was perfect for fun lawn games. Thank you guys so much!

We were able to step away from the wedding venue and have a relaxing meal at beautiful location. The wedding party got to watch the sunset off of a sprawling balcony. The sheer size of the home allowed everyone to have their own special private moments, that they will never forget. Everything from cookware, bedding, towels, two refrigerators, two ovens, was so convenient. I would stay there again if given the chance!

We spent a wonderful five days in this beautiful house. We were in town for a wedding and there was more than enough space for those of us who were staying at the house and to have groomsmen and bridesmaids stop by the relax; the pool table was a hit. We enjoyed the lake and the views immensely. My favorite spot in the house was the covered, wrap around deck!! 5 Stars all around!

This elegant home is spacious, decorated beautifully, very well-stocked, with all kitchen necessities with soft bedding, towels, bonfire masjmellow sticks, fishing poles with worms, kayaks and couple floaties inner tubes. Game room with poker table and pool table were beautiful. Plenty of space for our extended family of 12.

We used this house as home base for a wedding. It was so much better to host people for breakfast at this house than meet in a hotel lobby. Spacious, clean, and gorgeous! You won't want to go home.

This property was amazing! The amenities were great. Plenty of towels (beach and regular), toilet paper, kitchen supplies, garbage bags, etc. The kayaks were a huge plus. Plenty of seating outside. Quiet neighbors so it was very peaceful. You might want to bring a kitchen washcloth or two for hand washing any dishes that don’t go in the dishwasher, an eye mask because it gets pretty bright in most of the rooms in the morning, an extra roll of paper towel and firewood. The path around the lake is great for walking or running and the proximity to stores in case you need something is also a plus. Highly recommend this property. Can’t wait to come back!
