About this cottage rental
Our beach cottage has been newly decorated with a queen bed in front bedroom and a double and twin bunks in the back bedroom. Great kitchen and living space as well as a fenced patio and screened porch. This cottage is steps to the beach- great for families to come back and forth for naps, lunch or bathrooms. It is also located close to downtown Rehobeth Beach and boardwalk as well as restaurants, shopping and beach activities. Come enjoy Dewey Beach!! Sheets, towels and paper products are NOT provided

This is our favorite place to stay in Dewey and we have returned several times. We appreciate that host Chris lets us bring our dogs and kids, and the location can’t be beat! 30 steps from the beach and half a block to all the Dewey restaurants, coffee, mini golf, and bars. It is a traditional old school, beachy, pet friendly and kid friendly cottage. Yes, there’s a little sand. Yes, there’s a little pet fur, and yes there are sometimes ants that show up mid-stay if you use the kitchen— it’s the beach and it’s par for the course! We appreciate the amenities/accessories provided by the host and left by previous guests for kids and pets, and we always make sure to leave behind an extra tennis ball or boogie board for the next family. Can’t wait to return - See you again soon ! :)

We booked this rental as a quick family getaway for our family of 4 and small dog. The location was perfect—close to the beach—and the overall cleanliness and cuteness of the cottage was perfect. The beds were comfortable and it was well stocked with dishes and various accessories. We enjoyed sitting on the porch at night and having our coffee there in the mornings. My only suggestion would be that the bathroom could use a little work. The whole bathroom could use a good scrubbing. The shower could use some re-caulking & the toilet had a slight constant odor (my guess is coming from the sewer?), so maybe a toilet bowl deodorizer would help. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider a return visit!!

I stayed Memorial Day Weekend w/ spouse and a friend; we brought our dogs.
Pros: Cottage was literally steps from beach entrance, which made it great for morning and evening beach walks with dogs.
The cottage main area was very cute. The kitchen was larger than in some other cottages and was appointed ok with appliances and kitchen necessities. Bedrooms were as pictured and the beds were comfortable. The screened in porch and the front patio areas were great outdoor areas for hanging out, eating dinner or playing games. Patio area was fully fenced in, which made it easy to let the dogs roam without having to be on leash.
Cons: The bathroom shower has mold under all the silicone caulking; I made attempts to clean it myself but it wouldn't come up. It made the bathroom feel dirty. The air vent was falling out of ceiling. This area could use a little sprucing up for sure.
It was Memorial Day weekend and Dewey Beach was very busy--mostly young 20 somethings who are there for the party atmosphere. There are many other cottages on this block that are very, very close to each other--mere feet. Felt like at some point in time they were all part of one larger motel/cottage community. You could hear conversations and music from all the neighboring cottages. This made for loud afternoons and early evenings and louder late night party noise with people coming and going into the wee hours of the morning.
Overall, nice place and would recommend.

It truly is steps to beach and also to dining establishments.
Only problem was that every rug would slide. Entrance mat, bathroom mats, kitchen and living room rugs.
Would be great to get nonslip rugs or nonslip pads for under the rugs.

We stayed here once before and it was perfect for us and the dogs. It is so easy to walk the dogs right on to the beach. The fenced in area out front is great too. Easy parking. Kitchen has everything you need. Host was very quick to address anything we needed.

Our family and pets stayed at Chris's cottage 09/14-09/17 and had a wonderful time. The cottage is exactly as described and very clean and comfortable. Half a block to the beach and half of block to street with all of the restaurants. The screened porch and outside fenced in patio was a plus. We can't wait to go back again. Would definitely recommend this property. Chris was great to work with.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was the perfect size for us. It has a great screened in porch and fenced in patio, which was great for the dog. It’s also steps from the beach! The house is tasteful decorated and living area is spacious for a home of its size. The beds were very also comfortable. We had a couple issues upon arrival, but Chris was quick to respond and address our concerns. We have been coming to Dewey my entire life and we have stayed in a number of houses. We are already excited to book this house again for next summer!

If you have kids, bring a white noise machine because people party all around! I already knew that from others reviews so my kids slept through the night. It was a great little house and I would definitely go back!

Incredibly clean when we arrived. Steps from the beach. Absolutely perfect for a family with dogs because not only is there a screened in porch, but there is also a small fenced front yard.
I'm so grateful that these owners are willing to rent to people with large dogs. We always bring our golden retrievers, so are careful to keep them as quiet as possible so they don't disturb close by renters. We bring extra sheets to cover furniture so as to not leave too much dog hair behind. I'd encourage other renters to do the same, because it's so important to have rental properties like this continue to be available to those of us who want to bring our large dogs along with us.

We all really liked the little house. Comfortable adorable squeaky clean and fabulous location— about two minutes’ walk to the beach! Great porch and little fenced yard that we — and the dogs — enjoyed so much since the weather was perfect for hanging out outside whenever we weren’t at the beach!

It was grest until we had new people stay right behind us. They were day drinking all day and until 3 or 4 in the morning. Needless to say we could hear them carring on all day and night. Nothing we could do to stop our youngest from hearing all kinds of foul language. We struggled with sleep and we had some explaining to do to the youngest in the morning. Other then that it was a great little place. Unfortunately we had horrible neighbors and the little cottages are so close together it does not give you alot of options if put in this situation.

Cottage was clean, bright, cozy and private...also well heated during an arctic cold snap during our stay. Location is amazing just yards from the beach and close to bars and restaurants in Dewey Beach. You can walk up to Rehoboth along the beach in under 45 minutes. Private parking helps greatly! Definitely hope to stay there again.

The location was as described, just steps from the beach and restaurants on a quiet street. The property owner was so accommodating too, worked with us to switch our date when we had a conflict. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a wonderful property. A true beach cottage! Location couldn’t be beat! Even though the weather was less than ideal, we enjoyed our stay immensely. Truly don’t need to drive once you arrive, although we did head into Rehobeth to do some exploring. Will definitely be back! Oh, and the dog said thanks, as well 😊

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I to take our dog for a beach trip. The owner was very responsive; the coffee pot was broken and she had a new one sent ASAP. The only suggestion would be to add additional information about where the parking is. Maybe a picture. Will definitely return again someday!!!

We had a great time and plan to return! It's a little pricey with 1 bathroom but its cute and has a screen porch. Cars will park and block your view but that's Dewey. Find parking where you can! We some AC issues but resolved it while communicating with the property contact.

2022 was the sixth year that I've rented this cottage and loved it again this year. Clean, well maintained, nicely furnished, & cozy, with a location that cannot be beat. I plan to rent again in 2023!

This was our third year at this cute house. We love vacationing here! The owners are wonderful and you can’t beat the location. Our dogs enjoy the property and the beach strolls every morning and evening. Everything we needed for comfort was there, and we are looking forward to a trip back next summer!

Great location
Overall we enjoyed the stay. Excellent location and cute little house, despite being due for quite a few minor upgrades that would have made the stay significantly more enjoyable. Dripping faucets, outdated shower fixtures, ripped and breaking patio furniture etc. I expected more for this rate, particularly since linens and paper products were not provided. However, we did still enjoy our stay and the location can’t be beat.
