It is a lovely historic property that suited our needs perfectly. We were in town for a memorial service. Even though it was a hot day, a handful of family members were able to join us for a visit in the cool shade of the garden patio before walking to the event. What an ideal location!

Overall, it met our needs. The front door deadbolt and keypad need work. The guest has to figure out to pull on knob while typing in code or the door will not open. The lighting in the living room is inadequate. It was unpleasant to hear motorcycles, trucks and cars without mufflers at every hour…especially due to the stop sign at the corner. It’s nice to be near groceries. Again, it met our needs.

All was good, one bedroom upstairs, two down with one onsuite.

We had a Girls trip of four and my sister was a Vender at The Barnstormers market. It was close enough to get set up done and still enjoy the charm of Jacksonville. This is a well appointed house! Just watch your step!! Because of age a little uneven. Parking limited .

This cottage is very well appointed, especially for preparing meals in the nicely updated kitchen, and plenty of fresh linens and towels, and modern appliances. It has one bathroom, which is immediately adjacent to a bedroom, so privacy can be limited. The artwork and lamps add a special touch to an interesting historic building. It is located on a busy intersection, on a main street, so traffic noise can be loud into the evening. Bring earplugs if this bothers you. By 10 p.m. it quieted down. The location is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, tasting rooms and coffee, as well as woodland trails and beautiful neighborhoods. Be prepared for a claw footed tub, which is a steep step in. The shower wand is handheld - no hook, so follow the directions on how to prevent water from spraying everywhere. We did have some difficulty with the digital door lock; however, the property manager was immediately responsive to our needs.

This is our second visit to the Inn on 5th Street. The home and property is beautiful, clean, decorated beautifully, well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and we love the side fire pit area. Jacksonville is a wonderful town and we can't wait to go back this spring and we will definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful historic home, thoughtfully decorated. The historic elements in the home are really cool. The kitchen is amazing. Communication with the property manager was good. We would definitely stay here again. Walking around Jacksonville and staying right in town was great. And it was quiet.
I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness as the bedding (comforters) were in need of cleaning and the cute basket of complimentary food items were mostly all outdated. That was off putting. But otherwise everything else was fabulous.
Like I said, we would come back.

The Inn is lovely; decor beautiful! Our kids are living in Medford and this was the perfect location . Greatly appreciated the fully stocked home with all amenities listed. Right beside a great grocery store and walking distance to the historic shopping district. We spent time in the sweet back patio area reading and having wine in the evenings and coffee in the morning! Thank you for the welcome goodies of wine, chocolate and snacks. It very much made us feel special and at home!!!

Two families, 4 of us to Medford for a wedding. We love Jacksonville...hiking near Britt gardens, & all restaurants. The house is comfortable and kitchen is well stocked even with a Keurig coffee maker, W & D, "treats" to start the visit and a food mart across street. One bathroom is a challenge for two or more groups. The outside grounds could use some TLC, but inside was very clean. Location...great as you can walk everywhere, but there is some traffic noise if that bothers you. We would recommend.

Functional kitchen and comfortable, convenient.

My friends and I came up for my birthday and the Lavender Festival. I would totally recommend this charming home. Located in walking distance to everything. Comfortable home, quiet patio to sip wine and visit. The history is amazing. What a great place!!! Thanks again.

Great Place! Close to everything, we walked all over Jacksonville. Right across the street from the grocery store was very handy. The place is clean and nicely decorated and maintained. We would definitely stay here again.
4.8
The home was conveniently located, but the busy street is a bit loud from the front bedroom. We ran out of toilet paper, but it was easy enough to walk across the street to the store.

Four of us try to visit Jacksonville every December and this year we decided to rent a house. Everything was perfect, we loved our stay and hope to return next year.

Very well kept property. Cozy and comfortable. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Short drives to Medford, Ashland and local wineries.

Loved the historic house. Decorated beautifully and very clean. Even decorated for Halloween. The house is right on the Main Street so the cars passing were definitely noticed. That’s the only minus for this house. If I ever went back to this area I would definitely seek this house.

The propriety was as advertised. Very clean and in a great location in downtown. Just a block or so off the Main Street. We had a problem with the Wi-Fi not working but Deanna kept in contact to try and get it fixed. She was very accommodating. The patio and fire pit out back were great. Beside the Wi-Fi not working everything else was good. Had a great time!

The house is in a good location, allowing you to walk anywhere in Jacksonville.
The facility could use some attention. One sofa pillow has stuffing coming out. The shower could/should be easier to figure out.
I appreciate the Krups coffee provided for our first morning. It is sure handy having a grocery store across the street.
It was nice to have the patio there for cheese, wine and conversation in the evening or coffee in the mornings.
The facility was very clean

This was pretty much the perfect house--idea location, incredibly comfortable, stylish and modern, but still with a nod to its historical status. From the welcome basket to the check out, 5 stars. I can't wait to return.

The house was clean and the decor was very cute. The little side yard was a great place to relax after a busy day. The large kitchen was well stocked and we were pleasantly surprised when we saw our little welcome tray of goodies from the owner. The 3 bedrooms had plenty of space and beds were small but comfortable. The bathroom had many amenities but it was a challenge to get in and out of the claw foot bathtub to take the daily shower.

Great stay in Jacksonville
We loved our stay at the Inn on 5th. Jacksonville is a great little town, and this was a wonderful place for us to stay in. The house is surprisingly spacious, and very convenient. We'd love to come back soon!

Spacious historic home with cute artifacts and plenty of entertainment options within the home. Well stocked and right across a market. Some minor nuisances that ultimately didn’t change the enjoyment of this location but I was disappointed the property manager didn't get back to me with my feedback. Hopefully the following items have been fixed: clothes dryer makes a repetitive loud sound when on, unable to have the cycle run at night as it was too loud for us, propane tank for the fire pit was empty and the starter did not work maybe batteries need to be changed, also wasn’t sure if the BBQ was available for use, found it in the yard storage bin and wasn’t setup and it’s propane tank was empty too.

Charming Home in a great Location
We had a amazing time in this adorable home. Perfect Location -you can walk to dinner, shopping, wine tasting, Britt Festival and hiking trails. There is a grocery store across the street too. We did not cook but the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need! The welcome basket was a nice surprise!
We would love to stay here next time we are in Jacksonville!

Just walking through the red door, we were wowed by the overwhelming cuteness, quaintness and coziness of this Home.
The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise and the Rogue Red was a taste of Rogue Heaven.
Thank you.

if I were the owners, and was thinking of spending any money on the property, insulate around the front door [ very cost effective] . Replace the beds, way too soft, seem old. We even brought a mattress topper to try to help.

Only issue was that the code we were given did not work and took us a bit to contact manager to get in. Otherwise a great place to stay! Very convenient to everything, including good grocery store. Would stay again

We loved this charming little house in downtown Jacksonville! This is our second stay in town and nothing beats the location. It was walking distance to everything we needed with coffee, dining, and tasting rooms within minutes of the house.
The Back Porch is an amazing restaurant with THE best veggie tacos and BBQ.
The Pony Espresso is awesome for coffee and lite bites.
Dancin vineyard was a short drive and had amazing views, wine, and food.
Awen was our favorite tasting room with Anchor Valley and Stage coming in close - honestly, we didn't make it to all of the tasting rooms because there are so many to choose from!
The house was perfect for our family of four with plenty of space. My husband was working the entire time and didn't have any issues with wifi or internet connection so he was happy!
Although we didn't cook at all the kitchen looked full stocked and ready for families that do. The garden area is so cute with lots of shady areas to relax!
My son did say that the upstairs room was a little warm during the day but that it cooled at night with the fan. It only has one restroom but with proper timing it wasn't too big of an issue.
We would definitely come back again and think we would add the cottage addition just for the extra bathroom.
We didn't have much contact with the host but honestly didn't need to - everything was exactly as described and the house was clean and tidy!

There was no soap for the shower. There were only 4 kuerig cups for 3 people for 3 nights. So maybe be clear what is, or is not, provided.
The upstairs table lamps did not have operable lightbulbs. The downstairs ceiling light was very dim. Great location. Old house, so just know the floors squeak and the windows are single pane with old, drafty frames.
