Delight in the charm of the Celtic Moon Cottage, a fully remodeled 1950’s cottage located a half a block off the Tremain Street Greenway walking trail in Mount Dora's Historic District. This cottage has all the charm of the past and all the conveniences of the present. (Please review our other historic district cottage; Crescent Moon Cottage – property # 660513)
Enjoy a relaxing getaway, in the fully furnished, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1,050 sqft vintage cottage. Begin your day with a cup of coffee on the back deck and end it with a night cap around the fire pit. Feeling frisky, stroll along the tree lined Tremain Street walking trail which leads you to the center of town. Browse the quaint boutiques and shops, have lunch or a cocktail at one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants. Feeling energetic, bike or jog to Donnelly Park in the heart of town and play a couple of games of Pickle Ball, or a couple of games of lawn bowling, next to the marina. Walk the nature trail which starts at the Mt. Dora Lighthouse. Feeling creative, catch a play at the Ice House Theatre, or browse the Modernism Museum.
For dinner, prepare a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen, and serve it in the vintage style dining room. Then as the night winds down, cozy up to a good book and relax in the charming living room. For the person that needs to be ‘connected’ the cottage is fully wired with cable and Wi-Fi.

This house is in a great location. Close to everything. It is decorated like a country cottage. Kitchen was well equipped, comfy beds, nice deck and fire pit (we didn’t use either due to rain). I would stay here again! Host was very responsive.

This place was perfect for the two us in town for a wedding. More than enough room for the two of us. An extra room for family members to change and get ready. Two coffee makers with filters, ground coffee, and some k- cups - including decaf. Also an assortment of oatmeal - natural and instant. All we really needed since we went out for most meals. An older house so not many electrical outlets and places to charge devices. I saw an accumulation of dust high on the walls in the bathroom. Small things overall that I'm sure the managers will respond to quickly. Thanks!

This was our 4th stay at the Celtic Moon. It is very clean, comfortable and in a great location. The blooming Honeysuckle on the back fence enhances the deck and firepit areas. Can't think of anything I would change - maybe add a TV in the second bedroom. Love this place!

A++ Myself nd fishing partner were in the area for a tournament and this home was perfect for our needs. The location was great and the home itself was very clean/well taken care of. This property is well maintained. It is located within walking distance of the downtown shopping. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking convenience. We felt very safe walking our dogs after dark. The neighborhood was alive with open windows allowing voices, music and TV sound to float out. I highly recommend this cottage.

The house was ideal for our stay. It was attractively decorated with comfortable beds and furniture. We enjoyed the back deck with chairs and table with sunbrella. The house was only a short distance from the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again.

Celtic Moon Cottage was outstanding. I stayed here for 2 weeks and it felt like home. Exceptionally clean, well appointed, comfortable furnishings and beds, great neighborhood that is walkable to all Mount Dora attractions, and a responsive, gracious host. You can’t go wrong by renting this house.

My husband and I stayed at The Celtic Moon Cottage while visiting Mount Dora recently. The neighborhood is very eclectic and charming. Which I loved. A short walk from downtown, but far enough to escape the Christmas crowds. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck. So relaxing. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. By the way, the house is awesome.

What a warm and inviting place! I felt like I was staying at a friend’s place. I also needed to cook a couple sides for Thanksgiving and everything I needed including multiple size casserole dishes were available. We truly enjoyed this house, and I hope to come again!
