About this cabin rental
Alpine Nest is a beautiful multi level home with large vaulted ceilings and a commanding fireplace. With over 2,500 sq feet there is plenty of room to relax, unwind, and get away from it all. Located on a flat lot in a quiet woodsy neighborhood. Lake passes available through ALA office for $10 per person.
Entertainment galore with a game room loft featuring a pool table, foosball, dartboard, an additional loft TV with playstation 3 and games. The main living room features a 65" TV with Netflix, Amazon, cable TV and loads of DVDs and boardgames. The backyard features a ping pong table, basketball hoop, and a gas BBQ and patio lounge furniture and fire pit on the deck to be enjoyed during the summer months.
Walk into the main level floor through the mudroom with a whimsical arched doorway leading to the main living room. Main living room has a very large gas fireplace with beautiful windows all the way up to the 30 ft ceiling. Dining room, kitchen, living room, and one bathroom make up the main floor. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking utensils, spices, etc that you would need. It also has a nice open layout with a bar countertop with stools overlooking the dining and living room areas.
A spiral staircase leads up to the upper game loft with a pool table, foosball table, dartboards, loads of board games, DVDs, books. An additional bathroom and separate loft bedroom area with a queen size bed and additional TV with a playstation 3 and games complete the upper level. This is what is considered the 4th bedroom, but it is not fully enclosed. There is a 3 foot wall overlooking the living room.
From the main floor dining room take the stairs down to the lower level hosting 2 bedrooms with Cal King beds each and 1 bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds to sleep 4 children (no adults in the bunk beds allowed, these are child size bunk beds). An additional bathroom with washer & dryer complete the lower level.
The house is not child proofed, but babies & young toddlers are welcome. There is baby gates, a highchair, and a pack & play at the house. We have toys, games, books, and movies for all ages.
We are in a shady, woodsy area of the lake with nice afternoon breezes during the summer and a living room fireplace for the cool summer evenings.

Our road is regularly plowed and we plow the driveway on check in day. However if it snows during your stay it takes up to 24-48 hrs to get the driveway plowed again. In these cases the guests will need to make sure they are physically able to shovel themselves out of the driveway if needed. Always carry chains and know how to put them on your vehicle.

Loved the house and our hosts were so helpful and went above and beyond. Great location in a beautiful home that had so much to offer..cozy bedrooms, great living room fun game room and perfect balconies. So close to the lake and exploring other communities. . House was perfect for our group of 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 younger kids. Plenty of space and entertainment options, and very comfortable and nicely furnished.
Our stay happened to be during the hottest week on record, and this house was a nice sanctuary in between our outings to the lake and bike park.

Great home in a great neighborhood. 7 min drive to the Lake. Lots of fun stuff to do at the home for both kids and adults. We enjoyed a glass of wine while shooting pool, while the kids enjoyed the game room full of board-games, fooZball, etc… living room was super cozy and made for relaxing evenings. And lots of space for the kids to have fun with lots of space for kids to play in the living room as well! The fireplace was very nice, ez to turn on and off. And all the bedrooms and bathrooms were super clean with nice toiletries.
Beds were super comfy and the kids enjoyed sleeping with their two school mates in the bunk bed room for 4 kids. Shampoo and Conditioner provided. And Lather body wash was all provided. Lots of clean towels. Kitchen had everything you need. Including very nice high end steak knives. And speaking of steak, we bbq’d twice during our 4 night stay. Bbq was perfect. Grilled some beautiful rib eyes and filets.

Amazing home, would love to come back in the summer! We stayed with our 4 kids, ages 9 to 7 months. The big kids an enjoyed the game room while the babies explored the toys. The house had a great set of baby gates that made the trip SO much easier. Can’t wait to come back!

The pictures are spot on what the property looks like. The property is Beautiful and well maintained. I can’t even explain how beautiful the windows and view of the trees are. It is well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of books, games and puzzles available to keep you busy. The game room area is perfect for entertaining and keeping you busy on the cold nights. Akiko is very helpful and answers any questions that you might have. Great space for parking and nicely located. I can’t think of one thing that went wrong. Perfect Family Vacation. Highly recommend

We had such a magical stay at this property. The cabin was well equipped and the house directions from the manager were clear. We didn’t want to leave.

We had an amazing time at the house. It was gorgeous and everything we expected. We are from Arizona and we constantly live with our AC on, so we were a little out of sorts with just using the night air. There are fans in every room so we were still comfortable. Only caution is if you decide to move the little chair and end table that is under the stairs, you might want to put a jacket or shirt on the stairs to remind you to duck. We moved them to make it easier to bring in all our luggage and groceries and my sister ended up hitting her head really hard on the stairs. Not the house or owners fault at all. Our own stupidiness at work again. The area is beautiful and makes me remember how much I miss the greenery. Akiko was super nice and very responsive. Will definitely reach out and stay here again should we travel back to the area.

This property was really great! The overall flow of the house was really nice and all of the furnishings were comfortable and of high quality. The place was stocked with everything you need. The pool table was a lot of fun and so were all of the other games provided. It was exactly what we were looking for.

My family (2 adults and 4 children) had a great stay in this clean and cozy house. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and there was enough to keep all ages entertained within the house. The owners provided many details on the house and area surrounding it which made for a very relaxing and fun vacation! Would definitely return again!

We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect and my family was so happy to stay at the beautiful Cook house. Akiko was a great communicator and provided tons of insight to the area. We took a hike using her instructions and had a blast! Everything in the house was thought of and provided. We spent the days exploring Lake Arrowhead and nights cooking and playing games from the fully stocked game room. We enjoyed hot chocolate by the fire place and my 16yr old loved the loft area with a TV, place to sleep, and a bathroom all to herself. The beds were super comfy and my sleep was fantastic. We loved our stay in the house and Lake Arrowhead. Thank you so much! We will be back.

We all loved this cabin! As soon as our 9 and 11yo girls walked in they wanted to move here! The layout is great! All rooms are downstairs from main living area, which made it easy to put the kids to bed and not have to worry about keeping them up with anything we needed or wanted to do. The game room/loft above the main living area was terrific as well and the views from inside the house are wonderful. We couldn't have been more happy with our stay. The owners were also very accommodating and provided quick responsive communication prior to and during our stay. We hope to visit again!

This property met all of our needs ! With 3 young children in tow (ages 8 & 5 yo twins) there was plenty for them to keep them happily busy ! Pool table was perfect for my husband and I on the same floor as foos ball, extra large bean bags, perfect for us all to keep busy on same floor! House in good working order, plenty of night lights for the bottom floor hallway & the kids room when it's dark ! Tastefully appointed bedrooms, nice soft bedding. Soft area rugs throughout the house. Pretty artwork throughout. Water pressure is great, roomy upgraded kitchen had what we needed to cook 3 meals a day. The high weather during our stay ranged from about 58-73. We prefer a cool house, and there was a nice cross breeze in the house except the last day. Downstairs is the coolest area of the house, which we loved. But on the day we were leaving, the 2nd floor where kitchen/living room is, reached 77 degrees, pretty warm. But there's plenty of fans to create air flow if needed since there is no A/C. Owner was very quick to respond, very helpful. Owner has gone to great lengths for including anything you could possibly need to know during your stay in a binder. The property is surrounded by trees & our favorite spot is the balcony from 3rd floor. We will definitely stay here again & would recommend this property to anyone. We were sad to leave !
The only challenging aspect for the kids is the slider screen off living room that takes you to the lower lever balcony. It was very hard for them to open/close on their own. The spiral staircase is not child proofed (large enough gaps in between metal stair banisters where 5 yo can fit through) and stairs that leads to downstairs has a ledge on the right side that's not child proof. But advising our children of such potential hazards, our kids were good about being cautious.

We usually rent a cabin in the vicinity of Lake Arrowhead every year in the winter. This cabin is very nice with good overall layout located in a nice neighborhood. It is very close to the village which is quite convenient to grab things from the grocery store. The cabin has games, pool table, and foosball for the kids and adults to entertain themselves. The one minor issue that we had with this cabin is the limited amount of basic supplies provided (such as tea bags, hot cocoa, shampoo, conditioner, lotions). We have stayed at other cabins where plenty of these supplies were available that makes us feel like home and not like staying in a hotel. But overall, we really had a good stay at this cabin. We definitely recommend this cabin to others. We might actually come back here again in the summer.

We had a fantastic two days in Lake Arrowhead. The property is situated in a fantastic location 5 minutes drive from the village. Akiko has detailed information on walks, eating and the area.

We loved our vacation here! The cabin looked like new inside, with beautiful furniture, flooring, kitchen, and bathrooms. The kids (we have 6, from 10 months to 11 years old) enjoyed playing with all the toys and games for HOURS. Amazingly, there were toys for every age. There was also a baby gate, to keep the baby safely away from the stairs.
We also liked playing outside with the basketball hoop and balls and the ping pong table. It was quiet and peaceful all around and we took wonderful hikes with the beach passes. There was a playground at each of the beach clubs, which was very fun - especially the playground at Tavern Bay Beach Club. There were lovely flowers and plants there, too.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It was also clean - even the refrigerator! - which was wonderful for this clean freak mom. :)
There was a bathroom on every floor. They were all clean and new-looking. There was plenty of nice towels and soaps, shampoo, and conditioner.
The bedrooms were lovely - decorated very tastefully, quiet, and comfortable. There were extra linens and blankets in each closet, clean and neatly packed in bags.
The cabin was beautifully efficient. It had everything we needed without exploding with stuff. The decor was simple and lovely. I liked that there was room for our things. There were extra towel hooks in the bathrooms and night lights in all the bedrooms and bathrooms and even in the hall to help sleepers get from the bedrooms to the bathroom. There was nice, clean outdoor furniture to relax on and an easy-to-park-in front driveway.
Akiko was super easy to talk to and ask questions of. She really made us feel comfortable in her home.
All in all, this cabin was just the place to go to get away from stress and to spend quality time together. We all hope to go back again.

Really nice and quiet area. Lake and town is only 5 minutes away. This house comes with everything you need which is very convenient. All you need to take is your food and drinks. I love this house. Everything is so clean and beautiful. The design is perfect. We loved cooking in the kitchen, enjoying family time at the table, playing pool and games and a quiet coffee on the deck. We will stay again and again. Akiko is a wonderful host and very helpful. It was great for a girls weekend and a family trip .

This was our second time enjoying a weekend of good old fashioned family fun at this house. The location is perfect to visit both the lake and beaches or to stay home and relax. The house is amazing for entertaining (plenty of room and seating) and the kitchen is large and stocked so you don't need to worry about bringing pots and pans. The kids loved the pool table and games (there is also a Foosball table and video game console) and enjoyed riding their scooters an bikes in the driveway and out back. The owners were incredibly accommodating and responsive to all of our questions. We will definitely be coming back before the season is over.
