Our five unit property was featured in the January/February 2020 issue of Southern Living, and we are honored and thrilled!

Welcome to our Cottage! This listing is the north side of the duplex. If you are looking for a simple, quiet, stress-free place to enjoy the beach, this is it. It's not a fancy condo-- no long hallways, distant parking, elevators, or crowds. Best of all, the cottage is beachfront, so there are no streets to cross-- just a sandy walk through the dunes. The Cottage is a duplex, and this listing is for the smaller side. VRBO #77482 will show you the larger side. The two sides share a screened porch facing the beach.

The cottage was constructed in 1916 or so, as a caretaker's home for a larger house which is now gone. It has been carefully maintained and updated, but has retained the charm of a bygone era.

The interior walls are heart pine, and so are the floors, refinished by hand. Furnishings have been chosen for comfort-- a rattan recliner and matching pillow top queen size sleeper sofa in the living room, dining table for two, and king size bed in the bedroom.

It's shaded by ancient Australian pine trees and has a comfortable shared screened porch for a front-row view of the sunsets and stars. With the windows open at night, you can hear the surf!

Walk directly out the screen porch door, and down to the beach--no streets to cross. Or, sit out on the patio and enjoy your coffee and newspaper, or cocktails. Our guests tell us that the best part of the patio area, (besides the view) is it's size-- plenty of room for spreading out.

We are located a block away from the Cafe on the Beach, convenient for all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts, quick lunches, and relaxing dinners. The beach-front playground is a block and a half away. Take the free trolley and see the rest of the island.

Bamboo Apartments host, Alice, provides a clean, comfortable, quiet place to rest and relax with the beach so close. It was perfect.

Thanks to all of the prior raters who gave this property such a good reputation. It’s very clean, is well maintained, has beautiful grounds, is only steps to the beach, is centrally located, has a grocery within walking distance…. Too many good things to list. We were fortunate enough to meet our host and she’s just the most pleasant and likable person. Great stay all around!!

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. If you are wanting to relax and enjoy the beach this is the place for you. Old Florida is the vibe with everything you would need for two! Very clean, bed was comfortable, well supplied for us to get away and reset before the new year.

My sister and I consider ourselves very fortunate to have stayed in this charming Cottage (C2 Sleeps 2) which is a step back in time to old Florida. Screen porch to sit and relax, peaceful grounds nestled in a private yard that overlooks the gorgeous beach. Special touches such as a Wine & Cracker basket and a cute little Welcome Sign with our names greeted us on our arrival. Convenient location to the Free Trolly ride to see everything the island has to offer. We both look forward to a return visit!

Great place. It's small but that didn't bother us. It's older however it's clean and well kept. It was perfect for two of us. It's for two people. Not family size. If you need the biggest, newest, and best then this isn't for you. Private beach access via a small path. Close to the public beach, Skinny's, and shopping. Could have gotten by all week without a car. Locked ourselves out once and owner was there in 5 minutes to let us in. She's very nice. We would stay again.

Owner is very easy to communicate with. Check and procedure is very easy. Cottage 2 is very vintage as described and pictured. This cottage brought me back to my childhood. It was exactly as expected. Everything was provided that was needed. The location just couldn’t be beat! Right on the beach with our own tables, chairs, grills , etc provided. It is right next to the facilities at the public beach, within .25 mile to Publix and CVS. When our internet was not working well the owner made a special trip to help resolve the issue. Guaranteed you will enjoy this step back in time and the location!

This is truly a blast from the past! Everything was clean and Alice was very welcoming, but just be prepared for a very small place with minimal kitchen space and utensils/equipment. Also, if someone is staying next door in the duplex you can hear them talking. But the location can not be better!

It was just me and my hubby. We don’t need many frills. It was an awesome walk out the door right to the beach. Great centralized location. Sweet welcome basket with lots of treats. Couple of beach chairs available, white sands. Can’t wait to come back and would definitely stay here again.

Not only was the property perfect and cozy, the owner was delightful and accommodating. The sounds of the ocean at night was so relaxing and the property was very clean. I would highly recommend the property to others, especially someone traveling alone!

We stayed in Cottage #2. It was exactly what was described and was actually closer to the beach than we initially thought. I think the walk looks a little longer in the pics. It's a small path and your right on the beach - right next store to the public beach. We were welcomed by a beautiful basket of goodies. Thank you Alice!! Everything was clean. We had plenty of towels, pots/pans, dishes etc. Loved having king-sized bed too! The only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather, but we made the best of it by exploring some of the local shops, playing cribbage, and went on a drive around the island. We got right on the beach when there was a break from the rain!

My wife and I go over to Anna Maria often but wanted to try something different for a few days. This was a very cozy place, close to everything. It is small but perfect for two. We will definitely go back as we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect couple's getaway that was exactly as advertised. Outdoor shower pressure and temperature perfect! Just a short walk down Pine Street to neighborhood beach access (close to 365 Pine Street). Exceptional customer service and communication throughout our stay.

This was our first Vrbo experience and has set a high bar for future adventures. The welcome we received from the very first contact with the property owner was so warm and following messages had all the information we needed for a super easy arrival. We loved the cottage! It had everything we needed from beach chairs and umbrellas to a full kitchen and king size bed. The beach was literally steps away from our door and the shaded patio space was a great place to relax with some privacy from the public areas. We definitely plan to return the next time we need a week of spectacular sunsets at the shoreline.

We just had a short stay in Cabin 2. We loved it. Very cozy and comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was a perfect spot - just a quick walk down a pathway to a beautiful beach. Good location close to everything. We would definitely recommend it it you are thinking about staying here!

A friend and I stayed in C2 for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! The location directly on Holmes Beach is fantastic! Alice was an excellent host! The decor is rustic and simple, but it has an Old World Florida vibe. Loved it!

What a great place! Right at the beach, but set back just a bit in the trees. Couldn't have been more conducive to relaxing. Inside was very comfortable with everything we needed. It made me think of a nice camping cabin, but right in town!

We loved the location and grounds at Bamboo apartments. Truly reminiscent of old Florida. The period furnishings were as I expected, but the bed was in horrible condition. I slept on the couch because bed was so uncomfortable.

So relaxing!

So relaxing!

While only a 3 day stay, we could completely relax and enjoy the sound of the surf and the wind in the trees. We rested, read, played games, and LAUGHED - the best medicine. The Cottage was rustic and comfortable. Our group was 3 ladies sharing this duplex cottage. We were glad we knew each other since sounds carried quite easily through the cottage walls. I hope we can go back sometime.

This little cozy bungalow was just what I needed for a beach vacation and a Thanksgiving holiday with family nearby. I loved the proximity to the beach, the well-appointed kitchenette and the comfortable furniture. The outdoor spaces were full of natural finds - perfect for a nature lover like myself. I hope to return soon!

Where to start. This place is fantastic! Great location. Easily bikeable to most of the island! We enjoyed being right on the beach. Couldn’t ask for any closer. Accurate listing. Great owners! We absolutely loved our first visit to AMI! Look forward to a return trip!
