About this house rental
Our Newer Home is loaded with features:
First feature being COMFORT: Beds for EVERYONE- Home sleeps 12 all in beds- no one gets stuck on the couch. A huge walk in slate tiled master shower. 600 thread count sheets for King/Queen beds. Cozy enclosed back porch, central air conditioning and CLEAN. Comfortable over sized living room couch. Enjoy Outdoor comfort with plenty of deck furniture seating in front AND back! Fire pit, basketball hoop and swing set.
Second feature being CONVENIENCE: The house was built with the concept of what rental families would need for a perfect summer getaway. Therefore, we put 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms and full bathroom on the main level. Perfect for 2 families or one large family! We have one king bed, two queen beds, six twin beds(bunks). All bed linens are provided. If that is not enough convenience- we added an upstairs refrigerator and vanity/sink in the master bedroom!
Each bedroom with TV/DVD player and large collection of DVDs. The bedroom with 2 sets of bunks (4 twin beds) has a PS2 system and games, kids will love it! They will also enjoy the multiple board games available. The living room has a 55 inch flat screen TV with a Blue Ray DVD player that allows you to access your Netflix account or any other app you use! Just sign in to you account for whatever you want to watch!
Everyone loves to be all together on vacation to dine or talk and our open floor plan allows just that. The kitchen, dining, living room and enclosed porch are all open to each other.
The dining/kitchen area seats eleven people! Everyone can enjoy a meal TOGETHER for quality family time!
We also provide the convenience of internet Wi-Fi and washer and dryer.
CONVENIENCES when traveling with young children:
We supply all baby items you may need: High Chair, 2 Portable cribs, Stroller, Booster seat.
OUTDOOR CONVENIENCES: We are only a FIVE MINUTE WALK to Newcome beach and ONE mile to town. North beach is the city's largest and is also about 1 mile away. There are also 4 other smaller public beaches in between. The home is also on a dead end street- allowing low traffic and nice peaceful walks. The large deck has unique patio furniture in fish design that seats nine people. We supply a large collection of hard cover books and if you do not finish your book, feel free to take, compliments of Harper's Haven.
The deck also has a Weber natural gas grill. All grill utensils are supplied. Outdoor heated hand shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. Kids will love the nice sized yard with swing set and. The yard also has a fire pit and we supply the fire wood! We also supply wagon, beach umbrella and four beach chairs to take to the beach.
The third important feature of the home is QUALITY!
We have granite kitchen counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, beautiful teak hardwood floors through out the home. We also have a stocked kitchen down to the electric griddle, crock pot and spices.

The decor in the bathroom was even considered important!

This was a great property for our extended family of 10 (3 family units). The listing was as expected and Nick was very responsive when we had any questions. This is a great place to stay if you have multiple families with plenty of seating for meals and space to relax. It is very close to small beach access (about a 10 min walk) and about a 15 min walk to larger beach access. The property was very clean and very well appointed with everything you might need for your stay in South Beach. We loved all the beach toys/equipment and the large backyard.

The house was as advertised. A short 3-5min walk to a small beach that is not crowded. We traveled with two families and four toddlers. Everyone had their own space and never felt crowded. Highly recommend.

Our families loved the well decoratedhouse, good spaces for the adults and teens to hangout. The firepit was a big hit, lots of smores were enjoyed while the adults loved grilling. We ending up eating around a few tables and the island as we couldn't all fit at one table. We just had a few maintence issues that should be an easy fix such as the upstairs shower drained slowly, the fan didn't work, and the sliding screen needed attention. The location was great and we'd come back again.

The home is slightly smaller than it appears in pictures, but not unusually so. Nick was very responsive. We had an unforeseen plumbing issue with a shower that he had been unaware of prior to our visit. Due to that inconvenience, he very generously offered us a free couple of nights sometime. I have no doubt he would do that! The home was tastefully decorated. The walk to the lake is just as stated: 5 minutes or less:) There is a small area that is public at the bottom of the stairs. It is a "deep" beach area and you couldn't see the end of walkable beach in either direction.

First time in South Haven. We did a weekend trip with 4 total couples. The house was really clean, and in a good location. The living area was comfortable and spacious enough for all 8 of us to hang out. The owner was very responsive to questions. We would definitely come back to this house, but probably during the warmer months when more things in town are open.

This was our second time back at this property because we loved it so much. Perfect for two families with kids. Great back yard, perfect location to walk to small beach or golf cart ride to north and south beach as well as down town. We love it here!

We stayed here in early August with my extended family and it was a great experience. The house is clean and well maintained, and they really have everything you need from fans to kitchenware to baby items all in the house available for you to use. We really enjoyed the deck and yard space (with swing set!) that let us be outside while at home vs. properties more in town. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and it's less than a 5 min walk across the street to the closest beach. That closest beach is very small, but it was perfect for us and was super convenient vs. battling parking at crowds at North beach. We definitely recommend this house and would book again!

This is our second time staying in this home. It did not disappoint. Our two families started vacationing in this home together. We had a terrific time. We spent our beach days at Newcomb Beach (which we'd avoided the first time) - which worked out perfectly this time around! We had a bonfire, enjoyed the grill.
There was an issue with the basketball hoop and Nick (owner) was on top of it right away. We even thought we may have left something (a week later) and Nick again was quick and helpful.
We were able to watch the fireworks at Newcomb Beach. Everyone in attendance was kind and respectful. There was no anger about who had more beach space, coming and going was smooth as well. It was so enjoyable. We walked to Bunde's Bakery a couple times. It was a nice walk. We didn't bring our bikes this time, but you could easily bike everywhere from this house as well.
There is so much to do in SoHa. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Great Family Space
Plenty of room for our family of ten people. Three generations and there was enough space for all. The kitchen was well-stocked, and there were comfortable beds for everyone. Easy walk to Newcome Beach and several other small beaches, which was much more enjoyable than dealing with the crowds at the larger beaches. Didn’t use the deck or yard at all, but the screened three-season room was ideal for our morning coffee. Fantastic week and we hope to return often!

My family rented this home over Memorial Day Weekend 2022 and had an amazing time. We had 7 adults and kids ages 6 months, 10 months, 3 years, 6 years and 8 years. You cannot beat the location of this home. It is even closer to the beach then I expected. We had no issues walking with our young kids. Also very convenient location to downtown. A quick 5 minute drive to downtown and a 5 min walk to the beach. Location was great! The house itself was very nice. It does have a few minor cosmetic things that could have been fixed like loose toilets, holes in some of the bedding, nicer patio furniture but nothing major that impacted our stay. The amount of items this house supplied was AMAZING! They truly try to make everything so convenient for the renter. This house supplied hand soap, toilet paper, any kitchen utensil you'd ever need, baby items, beach chairs and so much more. Very comfortable beds and living room furniture. Truly was a wonderful vacation and a great place to stay. The owner was very friendly, quick to answer any questions we had and easy to work with. If we find ourselves in South Haven again we wouldn't hesitate to rent this property!
