We had to stay close to the camp and this is walking distance. The house is large and could sleep 3 of us very comfortably. We also enjoyed the living room to unwind after a long day at camp with the kids. The kitchen has some items to use to cook. Appliances all worked. It was a nice stay.

It was a good sized house for 6 adults, and great that there was a washer/dryer and kitchen supplies. Will just want to make sure to purchase the necessary paper supplies, seasoning & other cooking ingredients. Jekyll Realty also was able to provide a hair dryer & potentially some other common items, if needed & available.
It was very nice to have Jekyll Realty provide credit for us to rent bikes for the time we were there! It was definitely a perk that the whole family enjoyed.

Jekyll Island is the best family vacation spot! Beaches that are not overloaded with people and houses close by to stay in! We have done this for years now and it is our favorite family vacation! The staff were very attentive and let us know the house was ready early. We would definitely advise to do this!

We loved staying in Atlantic Tabby. Beautiful house with room to spread out. I had read some of the reviews so I took some of my pots and pans but really they had plenty. I accidently left my mini muffin pan. It will just be a new addition to their stuff. We were sad that the beach access seems to be permanently closed near the house. Would have like a few early morning walks on the beach without having to drive. Overall we had a great time and lots of family fun!

We have stayed in this house before and love the location of it on the island. It's on a quiet street so not as much traffic. Has a fun roof access that they had repainted and is a great place to sit and watch the sunrise/sunset. We did notice this time that the house wasn't as clean.

Nice location
Tristan and Becky did not do a great job cleaning the property prior to our arrival. The one kitchen table still had stuff on it and did not appear to be wiped down. The kitchen stove vent was leaking black brown stuff while my husband cooked breakfast. My husband attempted to soak the stove vent. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned well probably never. The floors appeared not moped. The bathrooms were not very clean. Both shower curtains were terribly dirty with stains from the ceiling leaking water due to no exhaust fans while taking a shower. The shower curtain liners were gross. Lots of dirt in the corners of the rooms.
With the amount of money we paid I would have expected a cleaner place to stay. Also there were a few different places with what looked like water damage to the ceiling which was causing holes and the ceiling to be falling apart. The furniture could use a huge update! The bed upstairs in the one room was harder than a rock! Other beds were old and sagging in the middle, but better than a rock. The down stairs has a musty smell upstairs was okay.
Also the description said the beach was a five ten minute walk.. try a 5 or 10 minute drive. That was disappointing.
We still managed to have a good time. Just wish it would have been a little cleaner and more modern. The rental agency was easy to deal with and was responsive.

Great house! House was clean and had plenty of space. Loved the upstairs deck. The house location was perfect. It was at the end of the island and the neighborhood was quiet. There were plenty of areas to ride your bike and it was very close to the boat ramp.

ceiling fan in downstairs bedroom filthy. Unfortunately the a/c vent blew air across the fan to the bed. House was dirty. Counter tops and floors not moped clean. Mattresses old and broken springs. Hot water in downstairs shower only lasts for 8 minutes. Would be great if maintained.

I really liked Atlantic Tabby! Our group of nine had plenty of space to be both together and far from each other. The house was clean and wonderfully located on the island.

Sweet Get-away
The house is very well taken are of on the inside. The outside looks more dated than the inside. Everything listed was there and everything worked perfectly! There was plenty of room for my group of 6 adults and 3 kids. We were able to explore a side of the island we usually don't see much of.

This home is where we've celebrated Thanksgiving for 5+ years and counting. It is an older home, but offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The crow's nest is a nice place to catch a pretty sunset once in awhile. The kitchen has great dishware but needs new pots/pans and cooking utensils/.

The property was clean and as expected. It was disappointing that the beach access near the home is closed. There is a locked gate saying that there are security cameras and it is illegal to use the path. The state is apparently using the area where the path is as a nature preserve. So in order to get to the beach, it is a 10 min drive, not a 10 min walk as I had hoped. The description needs to be changed.

June 2018 Stay
We really enjoyed Atlantic Tabby. The house was comfortable, clean and plenty of space for our family of 5. We were here over the 4th of July. The island was busier than I've ever seen it but we felt privacy and seclusion on the south side. We enjoyed seeing deer and rabbits in the backyard almost daily. At first we were disappointed that the "unmaintained" beach access on Macy Ln was closed. It was fenced off and had a sign threatening trespassers with prosecution. I think the ads for the south side houses need updated to indicate that there is no beach access in walking distance. Fortunately the soccer fields/glory boardwalk is super close. It took less than 1 minute to drive it. The beach was beautiful and almost deserted every day despite the rest of the island being busy.

We encountered a few issues with the property we rented for the week. However, Jekyll Realty worked diligently to solve these issues and to my satisfaction. I appreciate a company who strives to make their customers happy and therefore we will continue to choose Jekyll Realty for the upcoming years. My family and I visit Jekyll Island yearly and have chosen Jekyll Realty every year for the past 10 yrs with the exception of once. Jekyll Realty Staff are great & friendly and aim to please their customers! The South Beach is nice and peaceful but having no beach access from the house was disheartening. Not against you South side but we will stick to the North Side. We missed the deer that visit every year on the N side. There are a few on the South but they are not tame like the N side.

We always enjoy our time on Jekyll especially at the south end. It is very peaceful & quiet. We could even hear the ocean from Atlantic Tabby. The layout of the house was perfect for visiting kids & grandkids who had the upstairs while we had our privacy downstairs. The house unfortunately has continual water leak problems which need to be addressed and the windows during the winter are very drafty. We had fun watching all the wildlife in the backyard (deer, rabbits, squirrels, birds, & raccoons). Jekyll Island Realty is terrific to deal with.

December 2017 Stay
We always enjoy our stay on Jekyll Island. The location of this house at the south end of the island is perfect as it is so quiet & peaceful. Atlantic Tabby has a great layout for having kids & grandkids visit. Unfortunately they have had a lot of water leaks in the roof which need to be addressed. The wildlife (deer, rabbits, squirrels, birds, & raccoons) was fun to watch. Proximity to the beach is excellent.

Atlantic Tabby is on the quiet end Jekyll, good for nature lovers and those who like a laid-back vacation. You're reasonable walking distance to St. Andrews picnic area/beach access and the soccer fields beach access. There was a nature trail from the neighborhood to the beach (bring insect repellant!) in August 2017. The bike trail is a stone's throw away.
The natural light in every room of the house, especially the Jekyll room, is great. The living room is spacious and comfortable with satellite TV and lots of books to choose from. While you only get distant ocean views any more, it's still nice to sit on the roof deck and enjoy the breezes or watch the clouds go by. Many reviews state that this house needs updating. I've stayed in various houses on Jekyll over the last 50 years and although an update would be nice... this house is similar to almost every other rental house on the island. The location is awesome, if you want the seclusion of the south end of the island. The lay out of the house is great, no bedroom walls are adjoining and no bedrooms adjoin the living room. Crows nest on the top is an added plus. My 5 star rating is based on a comparison to the many other houses I've stayed in, not a comparison to the Marriot.

This was probably the worst stay we have had at the Atlantic Tabby. I did fill out a survey and mailed it. We had mouse droppings in the drawers upstairs. We had hair still in the bathroom and in the ice box in the freezer. The Bed Spreads have stains on them. One of the couches look like someone spilled Clorox on it. There was used tissues under the couch. The floors were not vacuumed and the tile was sandy. There was still trash in the trash cans in the kitchen. We were told that on Monday, roofers would be by but they would not need to come inside and we did not have to be there. Well on Monday, we get a call from the office saying that the roofers would be by on Tuesday and we would need to let them in. This is unacceptable. We had plan to be out of the house and someone from the office needed to come let them in and stay while they were there. Needless to say we will probably go back to staying at the villas from now on.
