This house is beautiful! The layout and location are so ideal. A short walk to the beach, and a block or two from downtown and the grocery store. We never needed to use our car. Our family had a wonderful time and we can’t wait to be back next summer!

We had a wonderful stay in New Buffalo! The house was welcoming and fully loaded with anything we may have needed or forgotten. The pool is a few steps away and the downtown shops, dining, and beach are an easy walk from the property also. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the covered front porch with our morning coffee.

Thank you once again to Mike. We have enjoyed this home for several years and feel so comfortable there. The house is stocked with all the amenities you will need for a wonderful family vacation with children or just a weekend with adults to play games and have fun. The pool is perfect for taking a swim or exercise and area is kept very clean. The Merchant Cottages are truly a very nice village, and with the town, the beach and all the restaurants near by everything is in walking distance. We are so happy to have our vacation here. We have stayed at several homes in New Buffalo, including a few of the Merchant Street Cottages. This one is our favorite, and we’ll be back! This year the arcade games in the basement were a welcome new addition - they kept four kids (age 3-6) entertained during some rainy days. We always vacation with another family (8 people total), and this house is absolutely perfect for a group that size. Mike is very responsive and professional - no issues! We’ll be back!

There were 4 adults and 3 teenagers in our group. We had plenty of room in this clean and spacious cottage. The pool is nice and clean and is just a short distance from the house. The beach, grocery, restaurants, ice cream all within walking distance. Very nice rental that provided all the essentials.

This house is great - updated interior and comfortable accommodations. We've rented many vacation houses over the years and been a bit disappointed that the interior is somewhat shabbier than the pictures. Not the case here! We enjoyed all aspects of this property: roasting marshmallows over the firepit, shooting pool with the grandkids, enjoying our mornings and evenings on the front porch. The location was perfect - walkable to practically everywhere: Barney's grocery, Starbucks, restaurants and of course, the beach. It is an active neighborhood with many families renting on this street. Parking was limited but we didn't have a problem finding two spots.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Mike and Deanna for allowing us to stay at your lovely bungalow.

We were very happy with our stay. We had our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren (ages 2 and 5 with us). The cottage was great - well equipped for cooking, family time together, games, and activities, and was well decorated - plenty of room in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. It was just a 30 second walk to the pool and a few blocks from downtown shops and restaurants, and a 12 minute walk to the Lake Michigan Beach. Definitely worth a 5 star review.

Great stay. The house seemed brand new with nice finishes. Definitely NOT used/banged up like other rentals I've stayed at.
As for proximity to downtown, we had 6 adults spend the weekend golfing during the day and walking to restaurants and bars at night. It was the perfect location.

Michael was a great host and extremely helpful before and after our stay. The house is well kept and well stocked. We had 8 adults in our group and fit comfortably. The location is also ideal - walkable to all restaurants, stores, the lake, and the grocery. Street parking is also easy to find. Great stay!
