Hard to ask for a better mountain location, especially if you’re looking for something a little quieter than Duck Creek.
We had a group of 9, and there were more than enough beds to accommodate all of us.

Very nice cabin with lots of beds for big family. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We had a fun time using the fire pit out back, but do bring your own wood. Kids had a wonderful time playing by the creek. Location is great, near Panguitch Lake and Duck Creek village. We would love to stay again.l

The host was very accommodating and helpful to work with our schedule! We loved the yard with it's many activities for the kids-hammocks and playset and tire swings and the creek was all very much enjoyed. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding. We had 20 people staying here (5 families) and the bedroom situation was perfect for us. Oh! And we played a lot of pool!
One downside was the mouse problem. I wish we had known in advance. We kept all of our dry goods in the cars at night so the mice didn't get into them, which was a pain. I would've packed in plastic tubs with sealed lids if I had known. Felt a lot like glorified camping for this reason. We found mouse droppings on counters, under sinks, in front of mouse traps, and there were other obvious signs😮
Overall we had a great time. After all... You are renting an older cabin in the woods. Some issues are to be expected I guess.

The best thing about this listing is the location and the stream in the back yard. The access to all of the trails were awesome as well. The house itself was very dated and not very clean but served its purpose for our stay.

We have stayed 2 times at the Mammoth Creek Cabin and we love it, everyone loves the pool table, there are plenty of beds for everyone, we love having the creek in the back yard and you can ride straight from the cabin to the trails. Kathryn is wonderful to work with and always responds to any and all questions. If you are wanting a mountain retreat, I would definitely come here.

This cabin was very accommodating for our family. We absolutely loved the creek behind the cabin. The children loved the playset out back. We also traveled to Mammoth cave and panguitch lake for fishing. Would highly recommend this cabin for a good size group

We stayed here with two families with children and a set of grandparents. The two large rooms with lots of beds worked well for girls and boys rooms and the other bedrooms were nice for the couples. The beds were all comfortable. Everything was clean. The kitchen is small but everything worked. Plenty of seating for eating if you turn the pool table into a dining table with the included table top. Wifi worked well. Only two bathrooms, so that can be a challenge with a larger group, although we knew that going in obviously. The only real complaint was that the couch by the pool table seemed to have served as the lounge for a dog as every time you sat on it you got covered with hair. Otherwise we all enjoyed our stay and made some nice memories.

We have stayed at this beautiful property 2 times and we couldn't be happier. The location is wonderful, the cabin is beautiful and fully equipped. This is a must stay and everyone had a wonderful time. We plan to stay again before the end of the year.

Incredible location!
We took our children and grandchildren to this charming cabin placed perfectly on Mammoth Creek in August 2021. There were so many things for the kids to do! They loved the creek, playground and tire swing! The cabin had plenty of room for 15 of us. It is very well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, but the house could use mouse traps!!! Within minutes we got to explore the Mammoth Spring, Mammoth Cave and fishing on Panguitch Lake. There were plenty of excellent trails for our 4-wheelers to keep everyone happy! We were all extremely satisfied!
The cabin wasn't as clean as we expected. We definitely left it cleaner than when we arrived!

We had a great stay everything was just as pictured and cabin was very clean, check in the instructions were very easy to follow, overall it was a great time in the cozy cabin. We would definitely come back to Mammoth Creek Cabin, and Kathryn was so very responsive and helpful to all my questions, we were very pleased with the service provided.

Cabin was easy to find, minimal dirt road, driving, beautiful location, the kids loved play play set and the river.
The cabin is certainly not “updated”, but the photos show you accurately what it is.

Christmas Getaway
Came out to get away for Christmas and had a great time. Old school style cabin very comfortable. Plenty of room. The creek was a great attraction and we had snow that came down. A little tricky to find it due to the hidden location. Overall everyone had a blast!

Winter Retreat
The point of our trip was to have a hide away for our family. Before the trip we had various questions for the owner and she was very responsive and helpful. The cabin was cozy and had plenty of space for us to spread out. The location is remote and beautiful. The surrounding area is peaceful. The house was clean and comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with dish ware etc. and the pool table got plenty of use.

Weekend getaway
Perfect for big family and friends getaway! We loved the backyard with soothing creek and trees on the background. We enjoyed the campfire as well, actually spent most of our time outside around campfire! Grilled a lot too with our own grill! Lots of room for tent camping at the backyard!

Fam trip 2020
The cabin and location were great. we did have a mouse problem and a dead one in a trap that appeared to have been there for a while. The dishes in the kitchen all had to be cleaned before we could use them, but not a problem. The only other issue was the highchair - it was great to have, but took a very deep cleaning before we could put our 11 month old in it. Other than that, we had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay!

Great Location
We found plenty to do for the kids at the location and it was a perfect location for exploring the area. Plenty of room, well equipped and easy enough to access. The check in and powering up of the place and similar mile long check out task list is excessive. Given the VRBO fee and cleaning fee we shouldn't be required to do laundry for the owners at check out. That process was our only real disappointment. Although we didn't use the gas grill, it should be ready to go and the gas bottle filled. The note about possibly needing to fill the gas bottle was an aggravation. We have no idea how the previous guests left the propane bottles and don't particularly care to go in to town somewhere to fill up the gas before cooking. For the price, the cleaning staff or somebody should have that taken care of. Like I said, it wasn't a problem for us because we didn't end up using the grill....it's just the expectation that we would possibly need to take care of that issue before cooking that bugged us. Overall...great place, glad we decided to stay at the property. Very satisfied.

We loved the cabin , it had plenty of beds and rooms, we had 19 people, And we didn’t feel too crowded. The kids had a blast playing in the creek, and playing on the playground set, they also had a ton of fun with the pool table, my sons, husband and grandkids said they found some good riding trails (we have motorcycles and four wheelers) And the owners were so nice to work with , we would definitely recommend staying here😊and we would come back to stay again .

A Gem on Mammoth Creek in the Dixie National Forest
My family and I needed to escape for a week and this was the perfect place. The cabin is in great condition and in a wonderful location.
Sitting on the porch drinking my morning coffee and smelling the fresh pine trees and listening to Mammoth Creek melted away any stress I had.
The location was great! Aside from the kids playing and fishing in the creek, we spent a day boating on Panguitch Lake and could easily drive to Bryce Canyon and The Wave. Also, the beautiful Dixie National Forest offered great nature walks for the family.
If you’re looking for a nice getaway, this cabin is an excellent option and I would stay again.

Mammoth Cabin by the Creek
It is a lovely rustic cabin. It was a fantastic 3 days spending time with family. The cabin was in a great location right next to Mammoth Creek. Great for our little children to play in the water without much worry about them falling in, which allowed us to have a great visit. Enjoyed the large family room. Perfect for visiting. My suggestions for improvement are replacing the king bed mattress ( above the Kitchen) and twin spring bed. These were very uncomfortable. There were only 5 forks in the broken utensil drawer. Fortunately we brought some plastic utensils to use. We could not find a water hose that would have allowed us to have a fire for roasting marshmallows. The hose was a requirement from the authorities. All in all this cabin was a great place for a large gathering. The cabin owner was easy to work with and I was able to communicate with her prior to our arrival. We definitely recommend this to others.

Mammoth Creek Cabin
This was a delightful rustic cabin right next to Mammoth Creek. The children enjoyed the swings. But most of all they enjoyed being able to go to the creek and play in the shallow water. We were able to do a lot of visiting without much worry about the creek being dangerous. The inside was quite spacious. We enjoyed the pool table and having lots of places to sit and visit. The kitchen was small but adequate. The cabin owner was easy to work with and we were able to communicate about concerns before we made the trip. We would recommend this property.

Beautiful views and relaxing getaway!
We had a perfect vacation full of relaxing sounds of the creek, beautiful views, and so much fun for the kids. The kids all loved the swing out front and endless hours at the pool table and playing games. The cabin had everything we needed including plenty of beds for everyone. The beds were very comfortable too. The owner was extremely helpful and always available to answer questions or help with anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
