About this house rental
After a day in town, visiting the Biltmore, breweries, shopping or out on the trail, get comfortable and spread out in our clean, spacious home. Watch the 35-mile sunset view from one of your private decks. At night when you return from the Asheville restaurant and music scene, look out over the twinkling city lights! We’re located up a good paved road just four minutes from a Blue Ridge Parkway exit, eight minutes from the Biltmore entrance, and eight minutes straight up I-240 to the town center, we’re as convenient a mountain top as you’ll find anywhere. It will take you longer to park downtown than it does to drive there.
With 3,300 square feet we offer generous spaces for gathering with your friends or family. The driveway is flat with plenty of parking. All three mountain-facing bedrooms have King Beds, each has its own Full Bathroom, and each one has its own Deck or Stone Patio facing the sunset side. The three Kings provide full comfort for six. A full size Futon and a full size Sleeper Sofa are also in the house. For small children there are two Pack n’ Plays and a High Chair ready for them in the closet. Off the kitchen/dining side there is another large deck for gathering with a table, umbrella and chairs, Gas Grill, and Lounge Chairs. A second table and chairs are under a covered section also on the deck. Enjoy the morning sun with your coffee on the East deck.
You'll find everything you need in our fully equipped kitchen with quartz counter tops, stainless appliances, a Drip as well as a Keurig Coffee Maker, along with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Outside there is a Jenn Aire propane grille and an extra tank of gas is always handy. We have 300mbs 5G free WIFI, Charter cable, Netflix, Hulu, and ESPN+, on the 55" Sony smart TV. The house has one Gas Fireplace in the dining area, and one Wood Fireplace with wood provided for a little romance or just some extra coziness in the lower family area.
If you’re in the mood for some relaxation we’re located right next door to Shoji Japanese Spa. While we’re not part of the Spa it’s easy to book a wonderful Hot Tub or a Massage. You can even walk down the hill in your bathrobe if you like.

We had a wonderful time as always. We’ve rented this house on several occasions and it’s always been very clean and the views are wonderful from the back deck. It’s nice to be close to Asheville and Black Mountain but it’s a very peaceful setting up on the hill.

The house is gorgeous, spacious, with every amenity you can think of, not to mention the spectacular view. The bedding and towels are high quality and the house is so clean. The location is very convenient too. Thank you for sharing your house!

Our family (6 adults and one toddler) had a wonderful time at this property. The experience of working with the host and the property itself were both awesome. The home was comfortable and well-stocked with all our needs anticipated. Having 3 king beds with baths was perfect for our 3 couples. While the road access was a bit steep and narrow, all our vehicles navigated it just fine. The views from the west-facing deck, particularly sunsets, were gorgeous. The deck was the perfect place for morning coffee and had plenty of chairs. The pinball machine was a hit with all the adults (just bring a bunch of quarters with you). The common areas had great seating and facilitated great interaction. The home had easy access to town, Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hosts have provided lots of material and suggestions for area activities. All 6 of us agreed that it was the best VRBO experience we had ever had. Check-in and check-out was the easiest ever. We hope to be back!

Right after we saw the beautiful view, we noticed how clean the entire home was. We appreciated that. Located within 15 minutes or so from most Asheville locations. The last 1/10 mile is a bit steep and narrow but otherwise easy access. We had fun during our week. Suggest you bring some quarters as the pinball machine is addicting. Would definitely recommend.

The property was fantastic, just as advertised and as described in the many 5 star reviews. Richard and Margaret were probably the best hosts we ever had, were very responsive, polite and helpful. The location is perfect, about 15 minutes from downtown and from everywhere you'd want to go in Asheville. We would absolutely stay again, and would recommend for groups of all ages. We stayed with family, including a 1 year old and 3 year old, and the house had everything needed for kids. And what a view of the mountains.

My siblings and I stayed here. It was a marvelous home with a beautiful view. It was spacious and, a fully equipped kitchen for those who want to cook. It was close to every thing. The host did a fantastic job leaving notes about the house, restaurants, etc. I would have liked to stay longer and hope to stay there again.

We absolutely loved this home. We had 3 couples, long time friends who like to take a yearly trip together. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything needed! I have never stayed in a property so fully equipped! The views from the deck were so beautiful and we enjoyed our happy hour sunsets! The table was big and just right for both dining and playing games. The beds were super comfortable.
We enjoyed Asheville city, the Biltmore and hiking, all a short drive from the house.
The hosts were very easy to communicate with and I thank them for making our stay so wonderful.

This was the perfect place for our family get together of 3 couples. 3 bedrooms with king size beds that were super comfortable and a private bath for each couple. Very clean and well appointed kitchen and baths. Incredible views and location was close to Asheville without sacrificing the feel of the beautiful mountains. We were able to Uber to Asheville with no problem.
As a bonus, we really enjoyed the pinball machine reminding us of our college days!

This was a bucket list trip! Very last minute! This property was a find and a surprise! I am not one to rent homes/cabins! My husband shared with me we should return yearly! He is terminal and will be unable, but I thought the comment was perfect! The views were amazing! You are convenient to Ashville and literally on top of the mountain! Our family loved staying in this lovely home. The hosts were such gracious communicators, and the home was clean, organized, and just so cozy! Our three young children immediately felt at home, and as parents we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, etc. I would love to stay in this home again for a longer stay, and have already recommended it to family members. It is so pleasant to spend Christmas here with my family! The home is sweetly decorated for Christmas and so welcoming.
The home itself is a big plus, as is the scenery. I’m not sure how many pictures we took of sunrises and sunsets.
We did more cooking and eating in this time, made easy by the well-supplied kitchen and dining room.
Another big plus is the privacy. I love the location - close to all we need but still we feel like we are on a mountain-top alone!

This is our sixth (or seventh!) time on Busbee Mountain in Asheville, and every time it’s a GIFT. The owners have provided EVERYTHING you could possibly need to enjoy a welcome getaway. Spacious, private (every bedroom has its own private porch), and inviting in every way. The views are stunning, whether looking out over the Blue Ridge Parkway toward Asheville, or into a pleasant area where the wild turkeys amble through. There’s not a better place to be away from it all AND only three minutes from downtown. We’ve already signed on for our seventh (or eighth?!) visit. Thank you, Rich and Peggy, for your hospitality!

Our group of 6 college friends, now in our 60s, stayed here for three nights. This place was perfect. One bedroom on the main floor, two downstairs. The stairs are wide and easily managed.
The views are gorgeous and the house is designed to see them from nearly every room! Waking up in any bedroom is a visual treat.
The bedrooms each have an easily accessible bathroom; the sitting areas are comfortable.
We cooked breakfast every morning in the most well-stocked kitchen I have ever seen!
This house is immaculate! Kudos to the cleaners.
We enjoyed our first evening on the gorgeous and comfortable deck enjoying the spectaular sunset.
The next morning we could hop quickly onto the Bluegrass Parkway for a hike.

Everything about this property was wonderful. The view from 2,500 feet was spectacular. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with equipment and necessities. And the grill was clean! We expect to go back.

What a wonderful experience! The house was so spacious, well appointed with all the amenities we could have thought of, spotlessly clean, and so very comfortable. Richard and Margaret were wonderfully responsive hosts. They had provided nearly every detail we needed but responded almost immediately to our few questions. He was even patient and good-humored about my weakness with technology! The views from the large decks were just breathtaking. The location was excellent, not far from downtown but very rustic. I am a "research queen", so I am rarely surprised when arriving at a rental property. I kind of disregarded reviews that claimed this property was even better than pictured online. The pictures were pretty great. This property deserves over the five star review. It is not only perfectly located, perfectly laid out, perfectly decorated, it is perfectly stocked. Everything you could want is here. There is so much thoughtfulness. I can only say it would be as though you were staying at a relatives' house and they left it for you. The towels are wonderful as is the bedding. You want for nothing. It is efficiently close to EVERYTHING but with an isolated feel and a gorgeous view of those mountains that you came for. If it is available and you're going to Asheville, you'd better book it!

This place is great for medium to large groups with very spacious bedrooms and flex space areas to gather. The views off the back deck are great both at night and during the day. It's the best of both worlds being close to DT but still feeling private & secluded. All that's missing is a hot tub!

My husband and I met long time friends from AL to spend five days in Asheville. We couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay! Each bedroom has a king bed and it's own private bath. The hosts were very gracious and provided EVERTHING we could possibly have wanted or needed! The kitchen was very well equipped and large enough for several people to move around in it at one time. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms nicely appointed. The living area was large and very comfortable for all 6 of us to spend time together and look out at the beautiful view. I think this may be one of the very best mountain views in Asheville! The deck was perfect for watching sunsets and relaxing after a day of touring the town. We ate a lot of our meals out, but we cooked steaks on the very clean gas grill one night. The entire home was very clean and very comfortable. We will definitely spread the word about how nice this house is and we will be back to visit in the future!

The property was better than described in the listing. Very roomy, privacy for each couple. Outstanding western views. Although “out of town” I think we were never a 5-10 drive from anywhere! Plus quiet and serenity while enjoying the sunsets. Our host was easy to work with, easy to communicate with and flexible to adapt to our planning prior to arrival. Highly recommended!!!!!!

What a fabulous place! We spent all of our free time on the deck overlooking the mountains. Everything was labeled and easy to use or find. Incredible cleanly and our Host Richard was incredibly accommodating. He allowed a party planner in early to decorate for our trip and everything turned out great! Would highly recommend!!!
