=============================================================
This immaculate home has an open floor plan, lots of light and hardwood floors. The house is clean, modern, and comfortable.
The master has its own bathroom, a queen bed and large windows that look out into the woods and gardens on one side, and the vast mountains on the other side.
The upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a queen and a daybed that opens to make two twins. The other bedroom has a queen and a double futon. The upstairs has a full bath with a tub/shower that is shared between the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have mountain views!
The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area and has a sectional couch and comfortable chairs, and like the other rooms, you can look out over the layers of mountains.
The kitchen is modern and has all the basics you should need to cook and enjoy meals while staying here.
The dining area has a long table (center leaf can be removed if you want it smaller) and seats 8 comfortably but is capable of seating 10. We provide folding chairs to add to the seating capacity.
The covered porch is quite literally another room! It runs the length of the house and is 10 feet deep. There are rockers and a table that seats 6 comfortably and 8 if you squeeze.
Outside we have a patio area with a fire bowl with boulders and chairs for sitting around the fire. A short distance from the house is a picnic area that provides spectacular long range views. You will not want to miss this! We also have a loop trail that is about 1/3 mile long, plus some gravel roads for walking.

We were so pleased with the rental! Views and accommodations were as depicted (in fact, the photos don't do justice to the scenery), and an extremely convenient location. The property manager/owner was easy to contact and very responsive. Couldn't have asked for a better stay - really contributed to a great visit to Asheville and the surrounding area.

Perfect mountain retreat. Well appointed and spacious for 3 couples. We had a fabulous weekend.

This property is exactly as promised in the listing, and the mountain views and sunrises are spectacular! The house has everything you could need and the hosts were fantastic and helpful communicators. It's centrally located and convenient to attractions like the Biltmore, downtown Asheville, Chimney Rock and Hendersonville. We would not hesitate to lease this property again.

Great location and wonderful cabin. Favorite place was the back porch!

The stay was perfect. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Highlight for the cleaning and kitchen utensils that are available. All bed and bath linen were extremely clean. In addition to all this, the service provided by Steven was perfect from the moment of booking. I absolutely recommend the accommodation.

Stayed a week so we could explore the Asheville area. House is in a perfect location for easy access to downtown and BRP while still having the mountain views. House is exactly like the photos which is so nice. House had everything we needed for our week and was exceptionally clean on arrival. Highly recommend to serve as base camp for exploring or to even just sit on the porch in the rockers and enjoy the serenity and the view.

This our second time staying at Steve and Louise’s property. It’s been magical both times. Plenty of space, thoughtful amenities, gorgeous views, and much needed sounds of nature and quiet. All this, yet still so convenient to grocery stores, sightseeing, and downtown. A perfect gem in Asheville. We can’t wait for our next visit!

The property was beautiful!! We got to see lots of wildlife and a great view of the mountains! The deck was where we spent most of our time. Would definitely go back!!

We go to the mountains every summer for a week. This is the first time we’ve stayed in Asheville and I’m so glad we did. This home had gorgeous views and the best part was the surrounding property. They had a mostly flat back yard and that’s so rare in the mountain terrain. We were able to walk around their large property and see wild turkeys and rabbits and even bears (we were inside the car when we saw the bears!). The house was spacious and clean, with plenty of sleeping space for everyone — we had four adults and four kids and never felt cramped. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils. It’s just minutes away from everything we needed. Great communication with the hosts, and we will absolutely stay here again when we’re in Asheville.

Four women in Asheville for a week of yoga training. The house was immaculate and was perfect for our group. We all had our own bed and with three bathrooms (2 full 1 half) there was plenty of room for all of us. We were very close to lots of activities and restaurants, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet mountain setting. The house had everything we needed as far as linens, kitchen and even bath items. Owners were very responsive and friendly.
Do not miss this one!!! You won’t be disappointed

Don’t hesitate! Book now! We loved every minute of our stay. Steve was helpful with local recommendations. Check in/out processes are seamless.
Awoke the first morning to the most gorgeous sunrise off the front porch. Made a forever memory as three generations of family enjoyed this glorious view together!
Property passes the white glove test—seriously so clean and neat. Beds are comfortable and plenty of games are provided to keep everyone entertained.
The fireplace is another highlight. Steve had plenty of wood and kindling on hand for us to enjoy several roaring fires throughout the week.
So much to love about this place! Can’t say enough! Thank you, Steve and Louise!

We love GA, but this NC secret is a gem.
We had a most wonderful long weekend at this beautiful home. The host gave great advice for things to do in Asheville. The Nature Center was our favorite. Buxton Hall was 2nd. My husband was invited in the kitchen to help cook. 3rd was the $10 play all day arcade. Coming in a super strong 4th was Mac Daddy’s. Their sampler platter and salad in a jar was delicious. Finally we spent the afternoon at Bear’s Smokehouse playing cornhole while the DJ played tunes. To top off this fun filled weekend was the Mardi Gras parade 💚💜💛. The fire 🔥 pit and Guesstures was entertaining on Saturday night when we picked up burgers and pork chops and grilled. Came home with clean clothes just to be put back in the closet. If you are reading this, trust me and book it. You will not be disappointed. All of the stuff we did was icing on the cake. We could have stayed in the house and never left the views. We made sure we were home to watch the most amazing sunsets. Thanks Steve & Louise for sharing your property with us.

We were 5 women who use to all work together - now we get to pick a place every year for our annual reunion- we come from all across the US so it’s so difficult to find the perfect home away from home - this place was a real dream come true - in every way possible - great location - beautiful home - extremely well organized , immaculately clean , great communication, easy check in - amazing fireplace, comftable beds , great porch with 5 rocking chairs - and the best was the great seating area in the living room just to hang out and talk - plus every fun game imaginable! All five of us agreed it was the best rental experience we have ever had ! Thank you Louise and Steve for our helping create this amazing memory fir us !

Thank you for sharing your home with us! From the breathtaking view while relaxing on the large balcony to the well stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds to the occasional wild life sighting, everything contributed to a truly fantastic 2-week stay. Our hosts were great communicators and the house was very clean and well-stocked. The house is located only about 15 minutes away from most of our daily excursions, including the center of town, but yet feels secluded and private. This rental is a total winner! We would happily rent this property again.

My sister and two adult daughters stayed at Steve and Louise's beautiful house on a 3-day/4 night trip, and it was absolutely wonderful. The main living area is spacious, open, and great for cooking together, playing games, listening to music, and hanging out in the evenings. The a fabulous deck spans the front of the house with a mountain view through the trees, and comfy rocking chairs . Beautiful sunrises and star gazing at night. While there are other homes nearby, we couldn't see them through the canopy of trees, and we didn't hear or see anyone except the deer and wild turkeys; it was quiet and dark for great sleeping at night. The place is very well equipped: laundry, kitchen, fireplace, firepit, and grill, A/C. Beds were comfy, and the bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. Steve was available by text at all times, but we didn't need to contact him; the place was immaculate and well maintained, and the written instructions were easy to follow.
Location is great, too. It took us about 15 minutes to drive into Asheville, where we did the "e-bike tour in the mountains" with Asheville Adventure Company (it's also a fabulous tour of the city, including downtown architecture, neighborhoods, Grove Park resort, and bike trails); explored the River Arts District and Grove Arcade; had a great meal at Bodega topped off by amazing dessert at Sunshine Sammies. The house is also an easy drive to Black Mountain, which is a great little town--in that area, we hiked the Lookout Trail, went on a foraging trip with No Taste Like Home, and visited Lookout Brewing Co., where we got to talking with some local regulars. On our last evening, we went on a sunset yoga hike with Asheville Wellness Co.--a pretty one-mile hike up to a clearing, where we did a yoga class surrounded by grazing cattle. We also did tarot readings and massages with Asheville Wellness--great!
We loved Asheville and the local businesses we worked with--and we barely scratched the surface of all that is available to do. Steve and Louise's place was the perfect location for our trip, and when we go back we will definitely stay there again!

Great house and great location in Asheville - would stay again!
This house was perfect. The description of size and layout was completely accurate. It had all the amenities you would need and the location was perfect. It was immaculately clean, which is always a priority for us. The location was close to a grocery store, close enough for a quick/easy drive into downtown Asheville but provided quiet and serenity and benefits of being outside of the city. The view from the front porch was amazing. We spent any/all time at the house on the porch enjoying the view of the trees and mountains. We even had bears roam the yard right in front of us - twice. Perfect combination of being in nature but also being in close proximity to stores and downtown Asheville. Also of note, it is immediately next to the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, so getting to hikes and other desirable locations was fast and easy. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family. We hope to be back in the Fall to see the changing leaves. It was perfect.

Fabulous getaway close to downtown Asheville
Steve and Louise are excellent hosts of a beautiful home! For us, as 2 couples, the house was a perfect size (able to do things together and apart). It was so convenient to downtown Asheville with restaurants and activities easy to reach. The porch was the best part. From sunrise to sunset and in the dark, it offered a peaceful place to chill out. Already planning a return trip!

Peacefully, comfortable, and convenient to town.
This property has all the necessities and more. There is a lovely mountain view from the porch, perfect for sipping morning coffee or evening cocktails! Spacious bedrooms and a well appointed kitchen make it a perfect spot for a family getaway. Very easy access to everything we wanted to see and do while in Asheville as well.

Beautiful Property, convenient location
The property was modern, comfortable and well appointed. We loved the views! And although it feels very private, it's only minutes away from Asheville shopping and attractions. We had a great vacation here!

week in Asheville
Lovely mountain home, fantastic deck with beautiful mountain views. Home is lovely and very spacious. Kitchen was great and well stocked with appliances and utensils. Bathrooms were good, with very lovely master bath. Bedrooms are spacious with extra fouton/daybed, great for large or multiple families. Fun 'nooks and crannies' for kids. Very convenient to downtown Asheville. Enjoyed watching the rabbits in the yard each day and fresh eggs from Steve! Overall a very lovely stay.

Great Stay
We had a wonderful stay. Booked very last minute, and hosts were on it. Called me to say we could check in early and asked if we minded if landscapers came by. I appreciated that greatly and we didn't mind at all because we were gone. Also I forgot something at the house after we checked out and they also didn't mind me coming back to get it later before we actually left town. The thing to know is the shower stall in the first floor bathroom is tiny - like cruise ship tiny. All else was comfortable and fantastic.

Lovely property with excellent hosts
We really enjoyed this home! The driveway was a bit difficult for us to navigate being from Florida but the property was clean, well appointed, and had an amazing view. The host was very communicative and responded to any/all questions promptly and kindly. We would definitely return.

Perfect Spot
This house and property is located in a great neighborhood. A couple miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a couple miles to downtown Asheville. If you like wildlife watching, there are deer, turkeys, bunnies and even a bear! The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Steve and Louise are great hosts. We are looking forward to going back.

Great family stay!
We had an amazing stay at the property with my family - the property was just as described! It was beautiful, well kept, great location, clean and all the house included everything you needed! The views from the house were great and all communication with Steve and Louise was so easy and wonderful. If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again!

Great house with beautiful mountain views.
Our family wanted to escape the snow and spend time where spring comes earlier. Asheville offered us spring in the mountains. This house has a wonderful open floor plan with lots of sleeping spaces for our family. It also has easy access to trails and lots of outdoor space for kids to roam. Steve and Louise have stocked the house with everything needed to feel at home away from home.

Mountain View Just Minutes From Asheville
This house is exactly as it appears in the photos. It is airy, roomy, and comfortable with a great fireplace and a supply of firewood. The view from the front porch is stunning and all bedrooms have great views. The owners were very helpful and made sure the lights were on and put down salt to de ice the porch steps for my arrival. They were easy to communicate with and made sure our stay was perfect. I highly recommend this for families or a group of friends. You feel like you are out in the country, but you are minutes from downtown. Wonderful stay! I look forward to my next trip to Asheville!

Perfect family house with everything you need!
We really enjoyed the house and the location! Gorgeous mountain views from the front porch where we sat in the rockers often. The house is so clean and had everything in the kitchen and baths we needed. The upstairs was great for the kids. Steve had the lights on in the house since we arrived late and the fresh eggs waiting for us were a treat! Steve called to make sure everything was good and if we had any questions he was available to help. This was our second time in one of Steve’s houses and we highlight recommend staying there! Hope to be back!

Perfect Getaway
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this property is. It is beautiful, immaculate and not too close to neighboring houses. It is close to everything - downtown, Blue Ridge Parkway, the nature center and many hiking locations. The hosts were very gracious, offering many recommendations for activities and even left us fresh eggs from their chickens! We would definitely book again in the future.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat Close to Town
My parents, my husband, my sister, and I enjoyed our week-long stay at the property. The location was perfect- nestled in the mountains with gorgeous views off the long deck and just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store and about 15 minutes to downtown Asheville. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace on cool evenings and otherwise found the house to be appointed with everything we needed. The property manager dropped off fresh eggs for us and was readily available if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this property!

The house was clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies, The views from the back deck were beautiful, and the land for the kids to play and explore was great! It was close enough to town to be convenient but felt like a peaceful retreat when we were at the house. We loved our time here!

Great house, amenities & owners!
Couldn’t have found a better property & hosts for our first trip to Asheville! House so spacious with huge porch with Mountain View for early morning coffee and late night games with wine. Communication with hosts excellent as we got in early & were able to extend a day due to recent hurricane. Love location close to great Nature Center, Folk Center & hiking. Can’t wait to return!
