About this house rental
Our lovely 3 bedroom 2 full bath cottage is perched on a 14 acre mountain ridge surrounded by trees and nature. A beautiful mountain view can be enjoyed year- round from the decks, patio, and several sitting areas. There is an abundance of songbirds, and butterflies, that share the peaceful inclosed zen garden , located just steps out the back door. A fire-pit with plenty of fire wood and a grill for out door cooking are available. This well sparkling clean vacation get-a-way is great for a small group, couples retreat, a family with children, or a romantic get-a-way to share with a special person in your life. This adorable 3 Bedroom 2 full bath mountain cottage is tastefully furnished. It has a spacious well-equipped full-size kitchen and includes a microwave and dishwasher. There is a separate dining room, living room with HD TV, and a cozy den with a free standing wood burning fireplace. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 adults The garden/patio is nicely landscaped with a fountain, outdoor lighting, fire chimney , and also has a space for outdoor games. It is completely fenced for the safety of small children. The garden is well lit so it can also be enjoyed in the evening as well. If you listen close you can hear the owls hooting just after dark. The stars and moon are so bright in the peaceful dark skies of the surrounding mountains. This property is located just minutes to lots of popular hiking and biking trails, white water rafting, down town Asheville, the Bilmore Estate the NC Aboritum, Sierra Nevada Brewery and so much more in this get-a-way mountain home.

We had a very nice stay on this beautiful property. We enjoy relaxing out on the deck with beautiful view of the Smokey Mountains. The kitchen and house was stock nicely with everything that we needed. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. This rental was everything we wanted and more. Perfect place for a family or friends get together. We would highly recommend it and with it being out of town it was still a short hop skip and a jump into West Asheville.

We took a family trip to the area which we love to visit. Close to Asheville and trails. The house was so nice for our stay, well equipped and plenty of space. Stayed in at night and enjoyed the fireplace! We would definitely return:)

We were there to go to surrounding areas and for the beautiful views. It did not disappoint. We would sit on the front porch drinking coffee and marvel at the sunrise through the trees and the beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin was very comfortable and clean.

Everything was fine,the only issue we had was getting the Roku tv pin to add our app for the football game . We did have to cut our trip short because of an emergency back home. The fire pit would have been nice to sit around.

My friends and I had a great experience staying at Owls Perch. The directions to get to the house were easy to follow and spot on. We arrived when it was dark outside and it was so nice that the owners have lights on the fence and porch so it was easy to see and get in.
The house was very nice and clean and had all the amenities you need. My friends were especially appreciative of the Keurig and coffee provided. There was also wood for the fire pit.
If you have a reason to be near Asheville and Hendersonville, it’s a great place to stay.

The Owl's Perch sits atop a mountain with a gorgeous view of Cold Mountain. Three bedrooms and two baths. The location is perfect for visiting Asheville, the Biltmore Estate and Winery and the Blue Ridge Mountains. We drove up Mt. Mitchell and did some hiking along the many trails. A trip to Black Mountain was very nice.
Cathy, the property manager, at the Owl's Perch, was available for any issues during our stay. This place is beautifully located and remarkably spacious. There were three of us on vacation and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was great and we loved the cozy living room and comfortable beds. I would come back in a heartbeat! VRBO is awesome!!

The cabin was as described in the listing and pictures. Unfortunately, mice droppings were found on and underneath the bed in the primary bedroom, and additional droppings were found on the couch when we checked in.
We contacted Cathy and she told us a mouse had been caught recently and the area cleaned before our arrival. She allowed us to cancel our reservation. We worked with VRBO staff to find another rental in the area.

Location of the property was great, the place was cute, clean and quiet. Beautiful view. Not happy that they make you clean dishes and wash towels before you leave, after all the money we paid for housekeeping. Plus we were leaving at 10:05 instead of 10 and there was already someone checking that we left.

We loved staying at Owl’s Perch!
The house is in a peaceful, quiet location at the end of the street. We enjoyed the different seating areas, one with a Mountain View, one on the front patio and especially the one in the Zen garden at the back of the house.
The house is spotless and bathrooms and bedrooms fresh and clean. The kitchen is well equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven etc. We also loved the fire pit.
Communication with Cathy, the owner, was very easy and we also met her husband, who spends a lot of time taking care of the property when there are no guests.
We would definitely stay at Owl’s Perch again. We almost didn’t want to do our day tours and rather spend time reading and relaxing at the property!

At the end of the road up the mountain we found the Owl Perch - a great cabin-like 3 bedroom house that embraced the surrounding forest. 2 decks, a mini campground with fire pit out front and a beautiful "Zen" garden out back provided outdoor space for all. Inside was very comfy, well stocked and perfect for relaxation after the days activities. A quick 10-15 minute drive to all things Asheville. We highly recommend the Owl Perch!

Our long weekend at the Owl’s Perch was fabulous! Cathy has a comfortable, well stocked rental that is near to everything around Asheville, yet in a country setting. Our family enjoyed two campfires and got great sleep in the comfortable beds. Very much suggest this wonderful VRBO!

Literally, "country roads take me home!" Yes, never before have we ever experienced the fascination of living in a cabin at the top of a mountain. The landscape is like living in a forest. The view from Owl's Perch is spectacular. On the outside The Cabin is rustic looking as it should be...inside the rooms are very clean and well kept...and while you were made to feel that your were back in time...the kitchen was about as modern and equipped as you could get.
Let's go back outside for a quick look around. Enjoy the "fire pit" area or just relax in the Zen Garden. At night Owl's Perch is so quiet and peaceful...sleeping comes easy!
Oh and by the way...working with Cathy was a PLEASURE!

We are from Richmond, VA and have one daughter who just got her first job in Rome, GA and our youngest who goes to school in Cincinnati. This was a wonderful meeting place for our family to enjoy some much needed time together. Very relaxing and a beautiful setting.

This house was very comfortable for us and another couple and the location was convenient to Ashville where we spent most of our time.. We did enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire pit and there was plenty of firewood . Inside, the house was clean and well equipped. Our visit was short but enjoyable.

So happy the owners warmed the home before we arrived. The temperature was 1 and the windchill was -13. The lighted pathway and lights inside were very much appreciated. You don’t get that type of thoughtfulness everywhere.

Lots of comfy, warm seating and a wood fireplace. The home backed up to a mountain ridge. That’s something my grandma would have loved. Looking out your kitchen or backyard was looking up. Loved that.

Laundry was full sized. Bedrooms & bathrooms were fully supplied. My nephew, his dad and mom worked on a puzzle together. They almost finished. Tv/cable had excellent reception. There were lots of information about the area. I liked The Best Of Asheville pamphlet the most.
The owners were available nearby if we needed them and we spoke briefly as we were leaving. Mr was very friendly and only asked if we had a good time. We did.
The location was just a few miles from downtown Asheville but felt like we were relaxed and felt like we were far away. The small town of Canton had all we needed for supplies and fast food

This house was perfect for our Polar Express adventure! A short distance to downtown Asheville and a little less than an hour to Bryson City! The house was clean, well stocked, and decorated beautifully for Christmas! We even enjoyed the wood burning oven after the kiddos went to sleep. Great spot!

My daughters, daughter in law and I had a great visit to Asheville but we all agreed that we needed more time to enjoy the Owl’s Perch and it’s beautiful view and gardens. The home had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We hope to go back in a different season to relax and enjoy.

This was a girls' trip weekend with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Everything from booking the trip to getting in and out was super easy. The cabin was one of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed in. Very well stocked, great size, and beautiful landscaping. Easy drive to downtown Asheville and to the Biltmore Estate. We will definitely be back!

We stayed with our 3 teens and really enjoyed ourselves. The property is seemingly alone atop a big hill, and it offers great mountain views with some space outside to enjoy nature. Inside, we thought it was comfortable and had some interesting games and things to look at. The kitchen is modern, and it has a Keurig.

The Granbabies enjoyed following the trail that lead out the back gate. Everyone enjoyed making a fire and having s’mores
