This is both our home and our business and we take great pride in maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness. We have instituted a 24 hour wait period before entering the home. We also include disinfectant wipes and sprays for guests during their stay. The “Beach Cottage” is located just 2 blocks from the Morro Strand State Beach, a five mile uninterrupted expanse of sand and waves. As you drink coffee in the morning, you can sit at the breakfast nook or on the glass enclosed front deck and watch the waves break with Morro Rock to the South and all of Estero Bay to the western horizon. One can actually see 50 miles of coast; south of Montana De Oro (Point Bishon) and north to Estero Point (north of the abalone farm). At the south end of Cayucos on Ocean Blvd, you are surrounded by headland hills and blue water. Most days you will see local professionals soaring off the tops in their para-gliders, right behind the house, landing on the flat in front of the beach…cool!
The house has been totally remodeled. Walls have been removed and sight lines were considered so that you have views from everywhere in the great room. The deck has comfortable chairs, a table for dining, gas grill and a 10’ umbrella for sun protection. The kitchen has a suite of Samsung stainless appliances, quartz countertops throughout. We also added a On Demand tankless water heater in 2018. The great room offers comfortable seating for conversation or making use of the 55” flat screen Smart TV; Premium Channels package, and sound system. The full bath has top of the line hardware, tub/shower option, water saver loo, and double sinks; storage for your personal beach towels, can be stacked in the ample storage closet. The 3/4 bath also has water saver loo, walk in shower, and sink with storage beneath. The Guest bedroom has a queen bed and is tastefully decorated with a 47" flat screen Smart TV. The Master bedroom has a Cal-King, high boy dresser, and also a 47” flat screen Smart TV.
The back yard has a quiet setting with a water fountain, succulent garden, and a gas fire pit for those roasted marshmallows and Smores. A storage shed is available for larger toys like surfboards, bikes, or things that DO NOT GO IN THE HOUSE! The backyard is enclosed and lockable. There is no garage privilege. Owners store rental paraphernalia there. NOTE...We added a space over the garage and carport in 2018 that is the owners residence. It was designed by our architect to elimate any sound transference between floors.

We had a great time here. We have 2 kids with autism and 2 dogs and the house was very sensory friendly. There was a dead spider in one of the bedroom windows when we arrived, but luckily it was dead so it was easy to take care of. This was our first vacation as a family and my first vacation in 8 years so I would definitely recommend staying here

Our second time staying at Cindy’s VRBO. Great view of the Rock and white water on clear days. We spotted a bunch of whales the very first night from the balcony while we ate dinner. Stayed for 16 days as it’s been well over 110 in Las Vegas where we live. Plenty of everything we needed. Cindy is a great host and had no issues with our 100 lb Lab Bo. Limited amount of sunshine but that had nothing to do with the awesome house or our host. We will go back again next year. Love the small towns, nature and so few people.

Centrally located on Morro Strand for easy access to all the Beach towns and SLO Market Night. Super clean with bonus washer dryer inside the house. The front deck has a beautiful view of Morro rock. The beach was so close and dog friendly. Everything was clean and beautiful as pictured. Cindy was very nice and communicated quickly. A very nice vacation and the location is superb.

I stayed here for a weekend retreat. The home is immaculate, beautifully decorated, completely updated with a well stocked kitchen if you want to cook there. I did and it was perfect. I didn’t lack for anything while I was there. Sitting on the deck was relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. The host was helpful and available. Great experience. Thank you!

Everything inside the home is pristine. The kitchen was very well stocked and had wonderful appliances. I was happy to see the gate on the front porch so my dog could lay out in the sun when he wanted.
Every day my dog and l took full advantage of the quick walk to the beach. It is a fabulous beach for dogs (and humans, too).
My only complaint is the home's location being right on Highway 1. The weather was perfect while I was there and I wanted to leave the front door open, but the noise from the travel ruined the peacefulness of the view, so I kept it closed most of the time.
This is a great area for hiking, our favorite activity, walking around town, especially Morro Bay which still has the flavor of beach towns of the past.
Cindy was a very nice host, but keeps her phone on "do not disturb" from 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM. The smoke detector went off at 8:00 AM for no reason. I tried everything to get it to stop, but it kept going for over 20 minutes, when it finally stopped. I texted Cindy numerous times, but didn't get a response her until an hour or so later. She said she was visiting with a friend and had her phone on silent.
Another time I texted her at 3:00 pm asking about additional propane for the grill in case the tank ran out and did not hear back until 5 pm. I thought she should have been more available.
Overall, I had a great time in the Cayucos/Morro Bay area and enjoyed the home.

We really enjoyed our stay at this remarkable cottage! Everything is updated and tastefully decorated. The light and spacious kitchen had everything we needed neatly organized. For my husband who has low vision, the walk in shower, amazing lighting and multiple windows were the best! It was hard to find a property that had all of these amenities, plus oven views, but we found it all here! Cindy was a great host, answering our questions quickly and respectful of our privacy at the same time. It’s a Shore Thing’ that we’ll be back!

We enjoyed our relaxing time at Cindy’s place. Lots of room for our family of 4 with 2 grown kids and 2 golden retrievers.
The house has wonderful appliances and amenities, if you need to make a meal, bake something or do laundry. With 2 full bathrooms, we didn’t have to wait for each other to shower.
Our dogs also had a great time! They got to run free on the beach (walking distance) and got an easy paw rinse using the outdoor shower.
Last but not least, the sunset from the front porch is amazing and spectacular.

This is the perfect central coast beach getaway for a small family and a dog. The host is super nice, without being obtrusive. The ad for this place was very accurate, although to be honest it didn’t do this lovely house justice. The house has everything you could possibly need in it including instructions and having everything labeled. They even decorated for Christmas. The view is great and the beach is a two block walk. My family and our dog went every day and loved it. We’ve rented many vacation homes over the years and this is by far the best.

Centrally located to everything. We golfed, hiked, played on the beach, walked along the bluffs, traveled to SLO, Cambria, Morro Bay and Los Osos. We lived in the area before, so we were certain this beach rental would fit all our family plans for enjoying the central coast. Sunsets were enjoyed by all either from the deck or down on the beach just a short walk over the hwy.

Honestly, everything yo need and Morro Bay was a less than 10 min drive. The ocean views are both stunning and so tranquil. I truly did not want to leave, and can't wait to go back!
