About this house rental
Large Beautiful Log Home in East Glacier Park
If you want to be in the trees and at the northern edge of the village of East Glacier Park, but if you also want to be walking distance from the restaurants, the shops, the Glacier Park Lodge, and the golf course, then this is the home for you.
Located adjacent to the ninth green of the Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course, in the village of East Glacier, this 2400 square foot log home is the perfect retreat for small or large families and groups.
This log home faces the Rocky Mountains and features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a large great room/living room with a fireplace, 27-foot ceilings, and grand picture windows, allowing guests to enjoy the incredible views. There is also a large loft, an open, fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and a dining area, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
Outside there is a large yard, and a deck encircles the front of the house. The deck, with a large picnic table, is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing and taking in the panoramic views. The large grass front lawn is perfect for volleyball and wiffle ball, croquet, horse shoes, and other summer activities.
The master bedroom has a queen bed. One upstairs bedroom has a king bed. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There are two single beds and a double bed in the loft. The house sleeps 10 in beds; however there is plenty of floor space in the loft for sleeping bags.
Located in the town of East Glacier, restaurants, shops, and the historic Glacier Park Lodge are within walking distance. All of the activities of Glacier National Park are right at your doorstep, including hiking on Glacier’s 800 miles of trails, sightseeing, fishing, rafting, kayaking, and horseback riding. The nearest entrance to Glacier National Park is only 6 miles away and the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road is only 32 miles away.
And don’t forget the golf. The Glacier Park Lodge Golf Course, the oldest in Montana, is a nine hole gem. As it winds through the aspen and tall fescue, it features magnificent views of Glacier Park to the West, and the Montana grasslands to the East. And the ninth green ends at your front yard, inviting you to come and relax on the deck with a cool beverage, after a great round of golf.

We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at this home while visiting the East side of Glacier. It was hard to find a place with enough space for our group of 7 adults & this was perfect! The home is adorable with the log cabin feel/ decor & it was very clean. All toiletries/ paper products/ laundry items supplied & such a nicely stocked kitchen - this was awesome as we ate in every night! Beds were all comfy as well. They even had a bunch of bear spray to borrow which was great! Communication with Jon was prompt & check in with Ryan was quick & easy. He was so pleasant & gave us tips on good hikes! We were able to enjoy two medicine, St Mary & Many glacier areas while here. Don't hesitate to book - we loved it & would definitely return if ever back in the area!

This property is beautiful and in a close proximity to everything we wanted to do in Glacier. It was great everyone having their own bed after staying in the lodges at Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Would highly recommend

Perfect spot to base our East Park hikes and activities! Was comfortable and well stocked. We traveled with our adult children but this would also be a great place for families with younger children and has lots of space. Would absolutely choose again.

Ryan and Cole were awsome! Ryan is the manager of the Mountain Pine Motel and he also is there to to assist with any question we had. We had a list of hikes we wanted
to do and Ryan helped us with directions and suggestions. Cole takes care of the property and was always reachable if we had any needs with checkin or while we were there.
The house and location were spectacularl. Ryan was such a great help with providing us with guidance about hikes, and he loved hear about our advetures after.

Our hiking trip could not have been better working out of this VRBO. We planned our hikes on the East Side of
GNP. The house was a welcome reward each night after hiking. We had happy hours on the beautiful porch looking at the mountains and watching the sunset. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals each night. We also cooked breakfast and packed lunch for each day. There is lots of room at the big kitchen table and a fabulous sitting area in the living room. We really liked having 3 bathrooms and never ran out of hot water for our showers. We hiked in Two Medicine which was the closest trails but also drove to Many Glacier and St. Mary's to hike. We also spent a day in Waterton (Canada). It was great to be on the East Side for these hikes. We would highly recommend this house for your visit to the East Side of Glacier NP!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jon’s home. It was a great home base for all our activities on the east side of Glacier. Plenty of space for our teen girls to spread out! It is within walking distance to a cute place for coffee and breakfast in the morning and a wood-fired pizza food truck for dinner. It was about an hour to Grinnell Glacier hike, 75 minutes to Logan pass, 20 minutes to Two Medicine. Jon was super communicative. 5 stars!!

Our group had 6 adults, a 13 yr old and 9 ye old. There was plenty of seating and beds for everyone. We enjoyed the deck in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen and supplies were well stocked. The pictures online were accurate…may have actually been better in person when you see the spaces. We had visited Two Medicine, St Mary’s entrance for GTTSR, Many Glacier and visited Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada. Saw deer in the yard a couple of evenings. Thanks for sharing your cabin.

The Sherbourne Cabin was superb. So much more comfortable and pleasant than the lodge. We were able to grill out one night, and we really enjoyed the view from the deck and from the large full windows facing the mountains. We were extremely pleased. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at this East Glacier cabin. It is within walking distance of East Glacier Lodge-where you can pick up a Red Bus Tour. It is about 20 minutes from Glacier Park Boat company for Two Medicine. There are not many restaurant choices, but we cooked at the cabin where there are plenty of pots and pans. There are stairs to most of the bedrooms-not a problem for us but could be for others. Check in was a breeze-we actually were able to drop off our luggage before a park tour. Do not hesitate to book at Jon's cabin! We would be honored to stay here again sometime! BTW if you don't know about Guide Along-check it out for a wonderful GPS guided (self guided) tour of the park!

I’ve never rented a home that was more equipped with everything you need for the perfect stay. The home itself is beautiful and it is in a great location. We enjoyed our stay with two other couples.

We had a great stay. House was clean and had everything we needed. Five couples with three bathrooms required a little coordination but we managed.

The home was beautiful and worked very well for our group, including our grandchildren. It was very well appointed and supplied and we had everything we needed, including the outdoor grill for quick and easy hamburgers our first night.
The location works very well for the East side access of Glacier National Park and it was an excellent base for our explorations. It was nice to return each evening with a comfortable home and easy resources.
I highly recommend this home and I would choose it again!

There were 8 adults in this trip - all in E. Glacier to hike. The cabin was so cozy we almost didnt want to leave each day. Very pretty area. Walking distance from a little ice cream shop and E.Glacier lodge. We didnt cook much at the cabin, but if you want to - there is everything you would need to make meals. Beds were comfortable, cabin was extremely clean and there was plenty of room to spread out in the cabin.

The house was perfect for 8 of us (5 adults and 3 children 18-14. We loved the view and enjoyed 7 days in Glacier. One caveat; get your car passes at least 7 months in advance or you have to go online a day before at 8am.
We had everything we needed in the house and a wonderful view of the mountains. Thank you Jon. You were a great host.

Had a great experience staying in this house. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 adults. Saw some beautiful stars from the front yard. The owner's nephew at the mountain pine inn was also very knowledgeable and recommended some great hikes and other activities in the area.

Very clean, well-stocked, conveniently located in East Glacier Park- this home was the perfect place to stay for our family and our friends' family. We made tons of memories that will last a lifetime! The views here are beautiful and the sunsets spectacular over the mountains. The Sherburnes were wonderful to rent from. Would love to stay again one day.

This beautiful log home was ideal for our group of six (one couple flew in from Georgia, and the other two couples drove from Washington state). In the evenings, we were able to easily gather in the living space to watch TV or play games at the table that was large enough to seat all of us. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we might need, from cooking utensils and serving dishes, to a variety of spices in the cabinet. We also appreciated having access to the laundry facilities. The surrounding yard and gardens are well-maintained, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck after returning from a hike each day. Overall, we found the house to be very comfortable (including the beds!), and we remarked on the care taken to decorate with the nature/Glacier theme.
We took advantage of the nearby grocery store and pastry/coffee/ice cream shop. There are limited restaurants nearby, but we enjoyed dinner at a local Mexican restaurant (very popular) as well as Glacier Lodge, all within walking distance.
We hiked each day on trails that were anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour away. What we didn't realize until our last day in East Glacier was that there was a trail a few steps away from the home! We would have checked it out, had we known about it.
This is a home that met all of our needs, and we highly recommend others consider staying here.

Traveled with a group of friends to hike Glacier National Park. Cabin was very comfortable and management was awesome to work with. Not many restaurant options near the house but we enjoyed cooking at the cabin.

This was a great cabin and was very convenient to the things we had planned for the East side of the park! The cabin was well stocked with towels and the beds were comfy after a long day of hiking! The owners were very responsive when I needed to contact them! The only improvement I would suggest is a bigger tv in the living room! We are huge Alabama football fans and watching the game with 7 people crowded around the small TV was an experience!!

Great house right in East Glacier.

We had an awesome trip to East Glacier in August. The house was beautiful with a wonderful view of the mountains! Air conditioning would be nice when it's 90 outside, but I realize that it wouldn't be necessary for the vast majority of the year:) Also, we learned that you really need to be careful on the steps. They can be a little tricky at night and one of our party members fell and fractured her arm.

Log House with a View
Waking up in this house and seeing the clouds hanging over the mountains was amazing! Very comfy home with everything we needed. Super close to Two Medicine, which is stunning!!! The little store in town had everything we needed from groceries to hiking poles. A visit to the nearby, beautiful park lodge for cocktails as a reward after our long hike was a treat.

Wedding Trip Success!!
My husband and I booked Jon's beautiful home in East Glacier Park Village and it was incredible! Our wedding party was able to stay together in an amazing home that exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do this VRBO justice - the home was clean, beautiful, and the location was beyond perfect.. Jon was a fantastic host and the check in/out process was great. I'd highly recommend this rental, it's worth what's charged and we'll never forget the memories we all made there.

Great Stay!
This property was perfect for our group of family and friends. We had 7 people - 4 adults, a senior in high school, and two college boys. My sister's comments every morning were "I have not slept as well and deeply in a long time!" The beds were awesome and my sister took a picture of the mattress brand for future purchase. The house had everything we needed to make meals, wash clothes, and rejuvenate after big days. We did a few hikes up at Many Glacier hotel area - Tarmigan Tunnel was everyone's highlight. We would definitely stay there again. The Sherburne's had many nice, thoughtful touches.

Amazing vacation home for Glacier National Park visitors
Staying in this beautiful log home was the perfect jumping off point to our visit to Glacier National Park. The generously sized and well appointed rooms were perfect for a multi-generation family trip. Very comfortable beds, linens, pillows allowed us to get restful nights to take on the amazing hikes around GNP. Walking distance to the Glacier Park Lodge for meals, catching the Red Bus tours and other local cafes allowed us to explore without always getting in our rental car. One highlight each morning was watching the horses walk past the home from the pasture to the outfitters in East Glacier Park- a pony parade each day around 7:15 AM. Our host thought of many extras- lending 4 cans of bear spray, lots of spices in the pantry, plenty of dishes/ pots/pans, dispensers of shampoo/ condition/ body wash in each bathroom and use of the laundry room. A quiet and tranquil view of the mountains allowed us to experience the best of what Montana has to offer. Thank you to our host for sharing their wonderful home, allowing us to make lifelong family memories.
