About this villa rental

Our cottage/villa includes a screened in front porch area perfect for a relaxing, “Hang Loose” vacation.

The Purple Parrot is a 114 unit Caribbean-style resort with tropical plants & palm trees. Our huge 150,000 gallon outdoor pool is only footsteps from our cottage/villa. Enjoy live music at the Tiki Bar or sample some of the local restaurants for your dining & entertainment.

Johnson Beach State Park is a short (3) minute drive from the resort. Breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, white sand beaches, showers, picnic tables, walking trails & covered pavilions.

Our unit offers one 43" Flat screen TV in the bedroom. One 50” Flat screen TV in the living room. Brand new 6/2022 Beyond Beauty King size mattress in the bedroom. Queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Front loading washer/dryer. Free wifi, extended cable, & our kitchen is fully stocked with dishes & cookware.

PLEASE NOTE: Bring your groceries, toiletries & paper products. Publix Grocery store is located (5) minutes from the resort.

Our unit is lower level & parking is directly in front of our cottage/villa.

The Purple Parrot in Perdido Key is a unique gated tropical resort. The villas surround a 5000 square foot oasis swimming pool with a waterfall and a bridge accessible hot tub. The resort also features an indoor heated pool and hot tub in the indoor pool house. Changing rooms, showers, sauna & work out area.

Tiki Bar is on-site pool-side. Drinks & food are available for purchase.

Purple Parrot has a strict NO pet policy for renters.
NO smoking in any of the condos.
NO renters under the age of 25.

Restaurants, grocery stores, marinas, golf courses are within a mile of the resort. So much to do and see on the key!

Cottage was very cute and well decorated. The lay out of the floor plan worked nicely even for 4 people. Property is very convenient to the pool. The property did include a few bonus items, such as boogie boards that weren’t mentioned. Would highly recommend.

The condo was clean and comfortable for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). There was a tiki bar, outdoor pool, indoor pool, and a small fitness center on the property. The Johnson State park, restaurants and stores were near the property. I appreciated the condo owner had been very communicative and provided clear instructions about staying at the condo.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If we come back next time and we would choose the same condo.

Took the family to the beach for the 4th of July. We spent a week in the cottage. My kids loved the 2 pools on the property and the cottage was very pretty. Even though there was a Tiki Bar on property and not far from the cottage, it was not a problem. The screened in porch was great to have. We typically dropped off all our beach stuff on the porch before going in. The only things that would have been added perks to the stay were not having young kids in the cottage above us running for several hours a day (foot stomps waking us up in the morning) and having access to tv apps (Hulu, Netflix, etc). Satellite channels were available, but we're a family who watches apps more. Overall, we enjoyed the cottage and location (next to the beach, close to fun attractions, and not congested with tourists) and would like to stay in the future.

Every Quarter me and my Best Friend take a girls trip! This one by far was the absolute best!!!!!! The condo was absolutely precious and the Purple Parrot was amazing. From days spent at Johnson beach, cooling off in the pool and karaoke at the Purple Parrot. Memories were made!! Thank you!

Enjoyed my stay. The cottage was perfect! Loved how it is decorated and the comfortable furnishings. Loved being able to walk to the Tiki Bar and listen to great music and take a dip in the pool. So close to the beach which I did every morning! Thanks for having the beach chairs- added bonus! I’ll be back!!

Nice condo. Pretty decor. Cable issues in unit but nothing bad. Music was loud at the tiki bar and pool was overrun with kids, but if you have kids that like to be noisy, you’ll have a great time.

Our place was wonderful. Super clean and quiet! Beds were comfy and kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and appliances one would need. We were close to the pool and a mile from two beaches. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I stayed at the Hang Loose for 4 nights when I was in the area for work. It was very nice place though I did not have the opportunity to check out many of the amenities. I told my wife she and I would have to come back when we had the opportunity to relax! Would highly recommend Hang Loose!

Stave and Sherry have an amazing property. Our party of four enjoyed our weeklong stay. Resort offered pool, hot tub and bar with live muaic every night. The Hangout meet all of our needs and had ample supplies for our stay.

I was in Pensacola for a weekend stay to visit family. The unit was clean, location is good for where I needed to be and close to Johnson beach which is a very nice beach to walk or at sunset. Easy check in and check out; owners responsive to questions.

We walked on beautiful beaches with white sand. Winter months are very quiet and tho a little more windy and cool, having these huge stretches of ocean all to ourselves, was magnificent. The beach cottage had everything we needed, including a great comfortable bed.

My girlfriend and I came down for a wedding and Steve and Sherry’s place fit the bill perfectly for us two. It was easy to find and in walking distance to the beach. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice to have during the off-season. This would be perfect for a small family or couple at anytime of the year!

Sherry and Steve’s condo at the Purple Parrot was perfect. Lovely decor, nice touches throughout. Comfortable beds and blankets. Conveniently located in the complex. Owners were very responsive and professional. We will be back!

Stayed at Steve & Sherry's place and loved it. It was easy to get to, clean, inviting, and had everything I needed. Steve & Sherry were welcoming and easy to work with but I really didn't need to contact them for anything. They explained everything in the beginning and had everything ready for my arrival. The resort had a live band on Friday night that was great and I met some new friends at the tiki bar when I went to listen to them so the resort was just as great as the condo. I definitely recommend staying here and hope to return soon.

Great place to relax. The area was really clean and quiet. The pool, Tiki bar and restaurant was a great bonus to the resort. It allows one not to have to worry about adventuring out, unless they wanted too.

This was our fired time to stay at the Purple Parrot & I’m Perdido Key but it will not be our last! We fell in love with the area and we’re already planning our next trip! The owners couldn’t have been more prepared, organized or welcoming.

We were in town for a wedding, and booked this place for our stay. Convenient location close to beaches, very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable . Owners are quick to respond and everything went smoothly. The resort as a whole is nice with good pool and atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for us! Everything was clean, kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the tiki pool and also the indoor pool one day when it rained. The king size bed was super firm and comfortable. Our kids slept on the pull out couch and had no complaints. Great location to grocery store and restaurants.We paid $25 for beach access at Johnson beach right up the road and it was money well spent! It was a great facility with bathrooms and outdoor shower to rinse all the sand off. Thank you for the great memories! Our kids celebrated their 5th and 9th birthday here!
