The neighborhood is small and quaint and you will be delighted to know the roads have recently been repaved! This is a seaside town on the hill overlooking the Russian River as it makes its way to the sea. Most of the homes are smaller second homes. Casa Panama stands out as being one of the original homes in the area and is one of the most formidable in size and location. Be sure to visit the coffee shop on the river as you come into town where besides great coffee and sandwiches you will be entertained by local musicians on the outdoor stage. Next door to the coffee shop is a new wine tasting business, the Visitor Center and the Post Office. Kayaks are available just in front on the water making it fun to take a quick trip out to the beach or up river. Walk the beaches. Watch the birds. See the seals. Collect shells and driftwood. Go fishing. Check out Bodega Bay. Zip Line through the Redwoods at Canopy Tours on the way to Occidental! Have breakfast there at Howards Cafe! Eat at the Union Hotel! Shop til you drop. Take the drive back down Coleman Rd to the coast!
Just 10 minutes away on Hwy 116 heading towards Guerneville is Duncans Mills where there is wonderful shops, another great coffee shop with fresh baked pastries and pizza and two wonderful restaurants, and a wine shop that has a stellar reputation! There's great sandwiches at the market too!! Don't miss this treasure. See both sides of the street. Christopher Queen Art Gallery is famous!! Tell Nancy I sent you.
Stay longer. No matter how long you stay it's not enough. This is an ecotourism paradise!! Take a short walk up the hill into The Jenner Headlands to explore 14 miles of amazing hiking trails along the coast or walk the beaches from Goat Rock to Bodega Bay.
Cafe Aquatica is the town center for coffee, delicious food and live music on the weekends. Afternoons are for wine tasting at Jenner’s new wine tasting bar. We are very proud to be the town where Rivers End Restaurant is located. It is one of the finest restaurants in all of Sonoma County and is about 3 minutes drive away! Beaches and hiking trails are all around the immediate area along with plenty of famous wineries! For shopping don’t miss Duncan’s Mills and Occidental or the fun coastal shops and galleries in Bodega Bay. Or, for deep sea fishing or other water sports Bodega Bay will also accommodate!
Day Trip and explore north along Hwy 1 for Fort Ross and some of the most scenic areas along the California coast or go south and end up tasting oysters on the way to Point Reyes. When Jenner is home base you will be amazed at all there is to see and do.
At Casa Panama, the fenced decks which, include the spa are for your private use. The driveway is shared with the owner but it’s large enough to accommodate several of your automobiles and it does not face the owners unit or disturb her in any way.
A majestic setting overlooking the ocean and scenic Russian River in Jenner. 4 bedrooms 3.5 bath "Casa Panama" sleeps two to ten. Casa Panama is located on the hill above scenic Hwy 1, ten miles north of Bodega Bay and 10 miles from Guerneville. This area is marketed as an ecotourism destination because it is surrounded by over 10,000 acres of open space and plenty of nature based activities this region has to offer: walks on the beach, hiking, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, surfing, bird watching, horseback riding, zip-lining, fishing, golfing, paragliding, mountain biking, skate boarding, wind surfing, sea lions and whale watching, fine dining, or just sitting listening to the sea while reading a good book!
As you wander around the terraced decks gazing at this acre of paradise, you will experience both the peace and the drama of the Russian River as it meets the sea. The neighborhood is isolated and quiet yet close enough to plenty of fun activities that will keep you coming back for more. Don’t miss the Jenner Headlands just recently opened, with 14 miles of hiking trails a short walk up the hill.
This eclectic home is designed for your comfort, privacy and indoor/outdoor panoramic enjoyment. Sensuous bedrooms are lavishly appointed with cable TV's, plush comforters, pillows and drapes, giving you first class comfort on quality top rated beds. The hardwood floors, imported carpets, furnishings, and fine art create a luxurious ambiance worthy of a king. Bathe yourself in soothing gold hues in tiled bathrooms with large showers.
The professional kitchen looks beyond the dining room to spectacular views of the mouth of the Russian River as it meets the sea. The gourmet kitchen has all new appliances: large gas stove, family-size refrigerator, two stainless prep sinks, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, and gourmet cooking supplies. We suggest dinner on the patio for evening gatherings or on the expansive deck overlooking the dramatic river and ocean views.
Fine dining nearby; adorable coffee/ lunch shop just down the hill; shop local boutiques and eat at wonderful restaurants in Duncan's Mills; go wine tasting in Jenner or find numerous wineries up to 30 minutes away, drive up the coast to Fort Ross or beyond or drive down the coast to Bodega Bay or beyond to Point Reyes. There is so much to do here you will truly wish you’d stayed an extra day.
Mornings are a great time to stroll down the hill to Aquatica Cafe for coffee and pastries or a delicious sandwich and salad. Sit outside listen to music on weekends or just quietly sit and watch the river flow past.
While you're down at the river consider reserving a kayak or a kayaking tour i.e. star gazing or a bird watching trip around Penny Island. Be sure to visit the Jenner Visitor's Center just next door to the cafe. Another option is to head up the hill from the house a short walk to the back gate of the Jenner Headlands or drive just 1.5 miles north on Hwy. 101 to the Headlands Trailhead main gate. Either way enjoy access to 14 miles of new trails and expansive views in this new park! You will need to bring those hiking shoes! Don’t forget to check Sonoma County Parks for maps of hiking breathtaking trails all along the coast!! I’m pretty sure wine tasting might not be considered an ecotourism activity but for all of you interested, we suggest you check on line for wineries or tours in West Sonoma County. This is also wine country!
The area is well known for Levi’s GranFondo bike race. This event was the brainchild of professional road cyclist Levi Leipheimer who used to train here on these roads which is how his tough training route became a famous event that finishes dramatically coming down Hwy 1! Organize your own group to ride his route event or not with Casa Panama as a perfect starting and ending point.
Rent a car conveniently at the Sonoma County Airport 30 minutes away.
We all need family getaways maybe more now than ever but we need to feel safe. Here's the extra precautions we are taking to advance our 5* cleaning service for our guests and family and friends.
Since viruses die faster in sunlight and in high humidity, we immediately open the house hours before your arrival and air it out completely. At Casa Panama we are fortunate to have the benefit of full sun from sun-up to sundown with a little higher humidity. Couple that with fresh air and sea breezes and you will likely agree this atmosphere can revitalize both your health and your spirit.
As a proactive precaution we are wiping down all hard surfaces including floors, cabinets, counter surfaces, appliances with a bleach solution. Since the best defense against active viruses remains frequent hand washing we make sure there is plenty of soap, paper towels in all kitchens and bathrooms for your use. All bedding is changed and washed washed between guests. We want to thank you for your patronage and let you know how much we care about your families’ welfare and your experience here.

My family and closest friends gathered at Casa Panama for my 60th birthday celebration. What a delight! This house is absolutely fabulous. The views are stunning. You could stay here, not venture out, and be perfectly happy. Kayaking in the rivermouth was unforgettable, with seals popping up to say hi , and bird watching so fun. So perfect for a special occasion celebration. Toni, our host, was lovely. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with her.

We stayed at Casa Panama for a 9-day family reunion to celebrate my 75th birthday. This place was a big reason why it was the best birthday party I've ever had. Our party totaled 10 people -- 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 4 to 11 -- and everyone had a fantastic time, the whole time. The location is ideal, with an unobstructed view of the lower reach of the Russian River all the way out to Goat Rock Beach with the Pacific beyond. There are no houses in front of you, just trees, and although Route 1 runs below you wouldn't know it. The house encompasses two floors, with a complete apartment down below and an assortment of bedrooms above. The kitchen there is fully equipped, and we made use of it cooking full meals for everyone. You can also walk down to a cafe for breakfast or lunch, or to rent kayaks as we did for our whole group. Fort Ross (the original Russian settlement or the winery up the hill) is just north, and Bodega Bay is south. If you just want to be quiet and rest, the place is furnished for that, complete with an assortment of games good for kids, adults or both. The weather is cool in Jenner with gorgeous fog in the morning no matter how incredibly hot it gets just a few miles inland. Toni, the owner, is close by, accessible, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding area. This place might be the most beautiful and accommodating rental we've experienced over years of traveling throughout the US and Europe. Highly recommended.

Casa Panama is the best view up and down the Russian River to the ocean at Goat Rock Beach. The house feels totally secluded -- no roofs are in front of you, just trees and the water. You wouldn't even know there's a road below, it's so quiet. The house was perfect for our reunion of 3 families, 10 people total including 4 young kids who had a blast (quietly of course). This could be the nicest place we've stayed in ever, including Europe.

The house and property is very nice. The gardens are well maintained and the views of the river and ocean are beautiful from the large picture windows, or various deck levels. We had plenty of room for the six of us to gather together, or to go off on our own for quiet time.
Great location to visit various parks, beaches, wineries, and restaurants. We would definitely stay again if in the area!!

5 star experience. The description on VRBO is accurate. The property and grounds were beautiful and the overall experience was one of calm serenity. Tony and team were proactive, attentive and overall a delight to work with. In short, if you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful environment, with much to do should you decide to venture out, but beauty and tranquility if you do not, the Casa Panama should be at the top of your list.

The house is gorgeous and spacious with fabulous views of the Russian River and Sonoma Coast. We found it immensely relaxing. A bonus is the kitchen is very well-stocked, the beds are super comfortable, and the house is within walking distance from a cafe, restaurant, outdoor activities, and wine tasting.

Casa Panama fulfilled our every desire in a Thanksgiving vacation home…exquisite setting right on the estuary with view of the ocean and sunsets.
The home is clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked with quality pots, pans and dishes.

In early October 4 siblings and our spouses, some from out of state, met for a reunion at Casa Panama. What a beautiful property to be able to show off the Sonoma CA coast! The views from inside the house and on all of the decks was remarkable. Sunsets every night were photographed by all. The house is lovingly decorated with original local artwork and the furnishings comfortable and tasteful. All of the beds were luxurious and everyone reported sleeping well each night.
Toni is an amazing host whose love of this home shows throughout. You can see that she enjoys keeping it in perfect shape for her guests. And you truly do feel like a guest here. The kitchen is very well stocked so no need to bring your own coffee or spices which is a wonderful plus.
We, from CA are already planning a trip back here this winter. Any time of year with these views and the comfortable home will be great!

What a lovely place. The views were breathtaking and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. A bit of a hike to the winerys but worth the commute. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay the view of the Russian River meets the ocean is a spectacular view…Our party consisted of 2 adult couples with 3 adult children with their partners. We took daily trips that included Fort Ross, Bodega Bay, Armstrong Redwoods & Valley of the moon festival in Sonoma. At the top of the hill is Jenner Headlands with more hiking and views…The younger generation enjoyed Cafe Aquatic-a and the wine tasting at the bottom of the hill. After our daily adventures we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and preparing dinners in the kitchen. The table every night turned into long conversations and card games. If you want a family vacation to reconnect this is your place. Toni, Thank you for such wonderful place to make memories that will stay with us forever. Best The Gorman Family

This trip was our 2nd annual trip for our group of friends, 9 total. Toni the owner is so easy to work with. She supplies so much more than other VRBO's and the house is gorgeous. The views from all 3 decks is stunning. We already picked our dates for next year!

Hello Future Potential Renters: I cannot possibly express the absolute excellence of this property! My wife and I rented this in association with Villa Vista—which can be attached to Casa Panama—for a family reunion. It looks wonderful on the website; in person, it looks a dream. The rooms are adorned with gorgeous, impressionistic art—some painted by Toni Tacoma, the hostess. We had access to three complete suites. Each one had fully accessorized kitchens. The flatware and cooking implements were of high quality and perfectly clean. The view, OMG, the view! I'm 67 and have traveled the world, including southern France. Nothing compares. You sit out on the balconies, looking out on the Russian River as it undulates into the Pacific Ocean. Where on earth does one get views like that? And the tiny "town" of Jenner, just a few small restaurants, a gas station, and a trailer-post-office in which the Mayor of Jenner reigns—a Chihuahua—is beyond charming. And, dig this: The BBQ implements, which no one on earth keeps clean, were absolutely immaculate. Someone either cleaned them to perfection or Toni bought new ones. I could go on and on but will a. run out of space and b. do NOT want people flooding to this property. Why? I want to make sure it is available to ME in the future. Seriously, my friends, could NOT possibly rate this property more highly nor could I rave about Toni with greater hyperbole. Alas, my time is up, Alan K

I gathered a group of my dearest friends together for a relaxing week away and Casa Panama did not disappoint. The beds were comfortable, the views were breathtaking, the hot tub was hot, and most amazing, the kitchen knives were sharp.
We found ample space for our party of ten to relax, cook, and connect without feeling cramped. 12/10, would do again.

The stunning views from Casa Panama were appreciated from multiple vantage points in a house clearly designed to best appreciate them. We took full advantage of the local hike up the hill from the house, and the easy access to launch our canoe. Multiple walks are a short drive away. The house is well supplied for cooking and sleeping (although the pullout couch downstairs would benefit from a pad on top), and several in our party took advantage of the hot tub. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The interiors of this house are fabulous. I loved the all-wood floors, walls, and ceilings, with the ceilings painted a high-gloss white to reflect the seaside light. Lots of options for outdoor seating. Easy walk to the convenience store, waterside cafe, or oceanfront restaurant. Quiet! Amazing views over the Russian River and out to the Pacific.

My siblings and I are all in our 40s/50s, and haven’t gone on a family trip together in 20 years! This was the perfect place for us to have an adventure and reconnect. The view was INCREDIBLE, the decks + hot tub were super fun for outdoor hangout/BBQ time, and the bedrooms were all super comfortable. Plus, kayaks are only a 4-minute walk down the hill, and gorgeous beaches + hiking trails are just a few minutes away, as well. If I could give this place better than a perfect score, I would. We didn’t wanna leave and would love to come back.

We had 7 adults and one toddler stay four nights for a family reunion and everyone loved Casa Panama! The table was big enough for 10 for a birthday dinner, the rooms were comfortable, & the decor was charming, especially all the original paintings. Close to breaches, wineries & Armstrong Redwoods State Park. Toni was helpful & easy to communicate with. Road is steep & parking a bit tight. But I’d love to stay there again someday.

Casa Panama is one of those unique locations along the coast that you always dream of staying. Stop dreaming and start staying! Views of the Pacific to the West. Views of the Russian River inlet to the East. The quaint town of Jenner is a 5-minute walk. The eclectic town of Duncan’s Mill is 10 minutes by car. The coastal town of Bodega is a 15-minute drive for fresh seafood. What else can you ask for? I’ll tell you – a fantastic host and property that deserves a five-star rating! If you want to hang out, escape to one of two decks: The top deck allows for a relaxing time listening to the waves crashing along the coast; the lower deck will enable you to grill dinner or lounge in the hot tub. Sleeping arrangements for the three couples staying the weekend were superb, with one of the cleanest VRBO homes I have visited. Casa Panama is a treat that you have to experience!

My friends and I stayed last weekend for a girls wine trip. The location was perfect, close to vineyards, short walk to trails and a quick drive to Goat Rock beach. The views from the upper living room were amazing! We enjoyed our morning coffee each day in the seating area. The kitchen was very well stocked also with pots, pans, utensils, etc.

We had the most incredible stay at Casa Panama and Villa Vista - we rented all three spaces for 7 people and it was perfect for everyone to have their own space. Toni has done an incredible job outfitting and decorating the spaces. We had perfect weather, the views were endless and epic, and the house just lovely, comfy and cozy.
Thank you for opening your home to us.
We will be back!

My siblings and spouses reunite every other year, and this was the perfect home to accommodate our group of 7. The home is very well appointed, and has huge outdoor spaces that are comfortably furnished. The house sits high on a hill and the views are amazing! The four bedrooms all have incredibly comfortable bedding, and the bathrooms are very nice. A key feature is the marble communal dining table that seats 12, perfect for our meals. The owner was so easy to work with and promptly responded to my numerous inquiries before our arrival. We would gladly return!

Toni the owner goes above and beyond. Its the little things, fresh flowers, welcome card with wine. She supplied all the TP, paper towels, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, coffee, tea and fully stocked kitchen. Eight ladies in our party and the layout in of the property is awesome. Just as pictured. Being out on the deck is so serene. We highly recommend the Casa. We are already planning on coming back next yr.

First time renting a house with our large family. Plenty of space to enjoy and so comfortable for any type of weather. So many things to do, hike right from the house, drive to something nearby. Rent a kayak ( next time!) Hot Tub after a fabulous day!! And lastly the views anytime of day. Would do it again

Fabulous
Everything was super easy - from check in to check out. We celebrated our daughter's college graduation. Views spectacular - clean - owner / property manager - easy to work with. Would for sure stay here again.
