Pick avocados in the adjacent grove, or hike the canyon at the end of the private street!

Exclusive, quiet, completely furnished rental with 180 degree canyon and ocean views. Uniquely designed by owner/architect Kirk Saunders for friends and family to enjoy, this 'modern rustic' home features top of the line appliances, materials, furniture and linens.

With 'sustainability' in mind, the house uses solar power for it's electricity, radiant slab floor heating provides warmth, a grey water system recycles water for irrigating the drought tolerant landscaping (for 'guilt-free' showers!), and recycled doors and materials are used throughout.

Ideally located less than a mile from the beach, a mile from 'downtown' Laguna, 25 minutes from Disneyland and an hour to San Diego or Los Angeles.

Fully outfitted with gas barbeque, fireplace, kitchen and two ocean view decks, the 'Ohana,' (Hawaiian for 'family') is perfect for anyone looking for a serene retreat near the coast in beautiful Laguna Beach.

The location had a beautiful view which we enjoyed. The conditiion of the property fell short on cleanliness and the Host had to send a cleaning person in to clean. There was: 1) dust throughout including several cobwebs hanging from the cieling, refrigerator and microwave needed cleaning, the master bedroom ceiling fan was layered with dust so thick we did not run it until the cleaning person arrived, 2) there were curtains on both sides of the master bedroom, and in the master bath all of which need a thorough cleaning as they were laden with dust, 3) several problems with ants in master bath and kitchen which the Host provided ant traps as a solution - after 3 weeks they had the outside sprayed and offered to spray inside but too late, 4) we had to cancel guests do to the conditions of the guest room which was dusty especially the bunk bed and had only sheer curtains on the front windows, 5) the flooring is concrete which needs thorough cleaning with special solution for concrete flooring, 6) the ocean breeze was nice to cool the house, however, there were no window or door screens so at night best to leave the lights off so as to not have to deal with moths, 7) the lights above the kitchen counter which are battery operated did not work and could not be opened, and finally, 8) the tiny second bathroom toilet is in the shower and takes up half the shower making it a bit awkward which is more for a boat than a home.

We had an amazing time, it was so fun bringing our dogs ! The home was comfortable, neighbors were friendly and amazing views! The owners were so friendly as well! We can’t wait to go back

Ohana is a peaceful oasis above bustling town of Laguna Beach. The setting is in a pastoral canyon with panoramic ocean views. We hear bird songs and fill our senses with nature all around. This is our second year and a favorite pick! Fully equipped. Trails steps away. Responsive hosts. We love coming in summer during Laguna Beach art festivals. Great beaches, restaurants and Farmers Market.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ohana! The architectural design is impressive. The layout worked well for our one month stay. The two balconies extended the living space and were a favorite feature of ours to enjoy every day. With the private setting and views it felt like a Retreat experience. The Hosts responded quickly and were attentive. We look forward to staying again!

Perched above Laguna Beach with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and Rim Rock Canyon, the Ohana house did not disappoint. My husband and I spent a glorious seven weeks in this perfect hideaway. Although the May Gray and June Gloom hid the sun on many days. the clouds and cool temps were a welcome respite from the triple digit heat in Phoenix. The house is tiny (only 745 sq ft) but perfectly proportioned and the large terrace overlooking the canyon made it seem much bigger. Our only complaints were the lack of a :"real" oven (there is a microwave/convection oven combo but it is too small for baking or roasting) and the fact that there were fewer than a dozen hangers provided (which we remedied with a quick trip to Target). Overall, a delightful stay in a charming house in a wonderful location.

We really enjoyed our time in this adorable home! The view is amazing- Sweeping ocean and city lights and the street might be my favorite in all of Laguna Beach. Very private and great for taking walks. We appreciated being close to town but loved being up in the hills a bit rather than in the center of the action. The home is small but has everything you could need. The decor is lovely with a modern/ industrial feel but also very warm and inviting. My favorite part was probably the patios and bi-fold doors that open the home all the way up to the outdoors. Perfect Laguna Beach get away spot!

Property sits in the hills above Laguna Beach providing great access to that coastal area. Accommodations are very nice with an open floor plan and great deck space. Fantastic view of the ocean and sunsets!

We loved our stay and will repeat. This is a gem, a truly special property - atypical layout and design perfectly suited for the water and mountain views. We awake to hummingbirds and mountain views, followed by coffee looking at the ocean. It is easy living at Ohana and highly recommended if you can find an opening.

The owners - Mary Kate and Kirk are very special people. Their boys are great too. They all helped me fully connect to Laguna and the surrounding area. I've visited many times but have never felt so welcomed and so much at home. Caring and love is evident in every aspect of Ohana - a visually stunning property. The instant you walk in, shoulders relax from around your ears, brain unwinds...it's natural Xanax. Be careful though. As with any thing that makes you feel good - you can become dependent and not want to leave!
