This retreat is a terrific spot to telecommute via high speed internet while relishing Atlantic vistas or completely disconnect and focus on perfecting your golf game or your both! Just steps to South Beach, this beautiful villa delivers three bedrooms and three full baths via two main-level Owner Suites and a loft. Each is furnished with its own flat-screen television.
The primary floor is open and airy and also houses a fully-equipped kitchen, cozy dining area and comfy living space-all boasting amazing briny views. This level's two outdoor-living areas are a shaded porch and an intimate deck where you can enjoy a cold drink while you watch the sun set over the ocean. Upstairs, the loft-the third sleeping space-also houses its own full bath as well as access to another porch.
The villa comes with the use of two golf carts: a four-passenger and a six-passenger, is conveniently located adjacent to the golf course and BHI Club (with restaurants, pools, croquet and a fitness center), just steps to South Beach's sands and just minutes from the marina, shops and the Conservancy. Plus, when you rent with WWP, you enjoy access to our 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends.
The Island itself has 10,000 acres of protected habitats, including marshlands and an ancient Maritime Forest. It is also home to nesting loggerhead sea turtles. The Bald Head Island Conservancy offers the chance to see baby sea turtles make their way to the ocean from late June through mid-September. Old Baldy, North Carolina's oldest lighthouse, is also located on the Island. In addition, there are 14 miles of beaches and awesome trails for running, walking, biking and hiking. We enjoyed our stay at Villa 36. The unit is extremely well equipped and very tastefully decorated beds were comfortable nice linens and clean. Location of this particular unit is great as you can look straight out through a gap in the various units and see the water and from the upper deck you have a great view Golf carts we're nice and functional too.
Only minor complaint is that the master bedroom sinks are very slow to drain. This has been mentioned in a prior review so hopefully it can be taken care of.
If you have been to Bald Head Island and you love it then this is a great place to rent. If you have not been to Bald Head Island, the fact that nice dining restaurants are firewalled behind the need to get temporary guest memberships at either the Bald Head Island Club or Shoal Club is problematic. It is essentially a tourism tax that doesn't return value. We paid nearly $500 for the right to eat 3 times at the Bald Head Island Club. We did not use any of the other facilities. So, visitors beware.

Our party of 6 had a wonderful week at Villa 36! The villas was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the living room furniture was very comfortable! We loved having 2 golf carts to get around separately when needed. The only negative we had was the sinks and shower in the master didn’t drain well but we would definitely stay in Villa 36 again!

Have stayed at many Villas on BHI over 30 years, this one stands out for its lovely and efficient interiors. Each bedroom is comfortable and well equipped w comforts like silent ceiling fans and plenty of outlets for charging. The kitchen had all the basic culinary equipment but also great small appliances and serving dishes. Really comfortable sofas for relaxing and a lovely picnic table overlooking the ocean make gatherings so enjoyable. We will rent this one again!

Villa 36 was perfect for our family of four. Couldnt ask for a better location close to ocean, marina and new door the BHI Club. Villa was situated overlooking small water with fish, turtles, birds and gator(s) and the ocean for beautiful sunsets. Villa was well stocked and clean and the two golf carts were a bonus for us. Only thing we missed was a kitchen/dining table to sit around and play games. Big table on deck but not usable in rain and cold.

This was our first time to Bald Head Island traveling as a couple for a quick getaway.
We had a great experience during our stay. The home was well furnished with everything you could need to eat in. We enjoyed riding bikes provided at the villa and felt like we were in a location that we could bike or take a quick golf cart ride to.
The beach was extremely convenient with multiple accesses nearby. Also enjoyed sunsets from the Villa's deck.
The Villa was extremely clean, comfortable, and look forward to planning our next trip back!

Villa 36(One Day Came) was a joy to reside in for our week on BHI. From the 3 outdoor living spaces to the well appointed kitchen this home has it all. The living area is tasteful and comfortable. There is a variety of beach going equipment that completes a day at the ocean. The views of the ocean and the lagoon that runs through the back made this a memorable week. Thank you Wendy and Tamara!

Great experience, condo was perfectly located for access to west coast beach of the BHI and perfect for the BHI Club. Golf, dinner, breakfast and wedding dinner was walking distance, close to new pool. Played front nine challenging course, well worth the time to play. Condo was perfect shared with another couple attending wedding, well equipped kitchen etc...Nice patio to have drinks, quiet location. Just a suggestion we had issue with door handle it is loose so need to tighten with an allen wrench did not have so tried Phillips screw driver. Another suggestion is to paint lines on road, understand BHI is not to have lights but at night it is difficult to see driving, cart lights are not bright enough for driving.
