We really enjoyed our stay. Monique was very responsive to any messages sent. Walking distance to the beach. We had some issues with the hot water but assumed that was just the norm. Monique was great with suggestions and we highly recommend using Richard as your driver. If we come back to Jamaica we will definitely stay again!

Had an amazing stay! The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming! Very accommodating and guided us! This was our first visit to Jamaica and without the help of Bob and Michelle, I don't know how we would have gotten along! Michelle took the time to make us feel very welcome, she taught us the ins and outs, and we appreciate her greatly! THANK YOU MICHELLE! Bob made his self available when needed and if he couldn't be there, he sent us someone trustworthy! We highly recommend these people and this home! Beautiful, well-maintained, comfortable and well-appointed cottage. Both the owner and property manager are very hospitable and responsive to any concerns or questions. Perfectly located near the beach and Hip Strip with easy access to the Montego Bay Airport. Completely safe in a wonderful, small gated community. Would stay here again....a real hidden gem! Be sure to ask the owner about the absolutely wonderful Pineapple Farm Tour available! Well worth it! Be sure to enjoy the cottage's absolutely gorgeous front and back gardens as well. You will enjoy your stay at Chatham Cottage #3!

Wonderful home in small gated community. Very spacious, with great kitchen (which we closed off while cooking to keep the heat contained) and "green room" looking out over a private backyard garden oasis. Pictures do not do this house justice! The air conditioners are very efficient and cool quickly-we enjoyed the Jamaican breeze and nightly music from one of local resorts while sitting in the green room-awesome! It's a short walk to beach just outside gate where you can catch the sunset. Doctor's Cave and Margaritaville/Hip Strip short walk just up the street. Doctor's Cave was a pleasant surprise-rent the goggles and snorkel if you don't have your own-the water is crystal clear with lots to see. Safe area-if you are approached and aren't interested in what folks are offering just smile and politely say "no thank you mon" :)We rented a car and explored the North Coast prior to landing in Monique's gem. What a wonderful end to our trip! The neighbors were delightful and Megamart was a very short drive for all our grocery needs/Blue Mountain Coffee, and you can also pick up a Black Forest cake made with local rum. It is also a short drive over to Negril or contact Monique to arrange a driver. Just around the corner on the way up to Doctor's Cave are a couple of grocery stores for quick items, as well as JR Chicken-yum! Judith got us checked in quickly and was very helpful with our questions. Monique was great at communicating with us prior to our arrival with ideas for local outings and she stayed in touch and available throughout our stay. She provided piece of mind to a couple of North Carolinians braving driving around Jamaica getting in touch with the locals. You will be glad you decided to stay at Monique's lovely home-we hope to go back soon!

We are so in love with this place! This charming cottage is so beautifully appointed and furnished! Every little detail is seen to. Plenty of supplies (towels, sheets, WiFi on site and boosted for the sunroom— even sunblock!!!) available for guest use. The garden in the back yard is jaw-dropping, and we spent a lot of time in the green room— so light and airy! The owners and family are extra friendly and helpful (we love Khimanie!!). If you get a chance, take the tour of the family pineapple farm!! And the place is so well situated. Close to the “hip strip” and some cool, local hotels. We can’t wait to come back! Did the last "family" vacation (kids recently graduated college) and wanted something different from the usual resort experience. This house had plenty of space to have quiet time or all sit together outside or in. The kitchen had all the appliances one might have at home (toaster oven, coffee maker, stove).The backyard was private and spacious with plenty of seating options (the pics don't really do it justice). Monique was quick to respond to my questions and Lennox was very helpful checking us in and offering some ideas for things to do. Monique was also able to secure us pick up and drop off from the airport which was one less thing to worry about! We were close enough to walk to the hip strip and found a small public beach right across the street for a quick dip when we had other plans. Doctors Cave was fun, the markets near the house had everything we needed and were very convenient. We ate out for most meals and have to say that Toby's Resort was not not only close but the food was great and the prices very reasonable. Our last night we booked at Margueirite's, they offer complimentary pick up and drop off which was nice so that the girls could be dressy and wear high heels! This was exactly what we were looking for... a peaceful and unscheduled vacation where we could rest or explore. Thank you for providing an oasis for us!

We spent a week in this beautiful house and it is just as the pictures, descriptions, and reviews describe. A beautiful yard filled with flowering cacti and tropical plants, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Beaches, bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Monique, Lennox, and Khimanie were wonderful hosts intent on making sure we had everything we needed. We relied on them throughout our stay for transportation to local shops and restaurants, as well as taking advantage of a wonderful excursion into the mountains to visit the family pineapple farm. If you’re looking for a Jamaican experience that goes far beyond what you’ll get at a resort, this is the place for you.

Very cozy ,nestle in a private road with all the security of majors resorts in the area, very safe home. with the public beach within walking , doctors cave beach also within walking distance near the strip, we loved everything about this home.monique and Lennon the owners very lay back people they gave us the space we needed .looking forward to book for next year thank you again loved everything about you home!! I wish we had more cooking supplies like pots and pan since we enjoy cooking.

We enjoyed our stay here. Clean, a convenient short walk to the beach, and proximity to area attractions were all highlights. Great location and comfortably decorated. Very quiet, private area to vacation in. We didn’t encounter any issues. The property manager, Lennox met us there to greet us, give a brief overview of the property & answered any concerns that we had. He was always available by phone for anything if we had questions. We would stay here again. I highly recommend this cottage for a vacation stay.

So, me and my BFF stayed at Chatham Cottage for a week celebrating her birthday. We received a welcome letter from the owner Monique, prior to arrival, and were pretty much set for our stay. I can't think of anything that could have been added to the letter that would have made our stay more enjoyable. Day 1, we were welcomed by Lennox, the property manager, who provided us with keys and codes. He also had some fresh corn cooked by Kaydean that was delicious. The property was clean and well maintained. Plenty of space for the two of us. The sun room is awesome. We chilled there every evening for a little while, listening to music (which can be heard from the resort). We hit the ground running. The cottage is just steps away from Doctor's cave beach, but first we tried Tracks and Records, Usain Bolt's restaurant which was literally a 5 minute walk. The food was good. Ended up there eating 3 days out of our 10 day stay. We ended up on the Hip Strip everyday. No taxi required, but we were lazy a couple of days and caught a ride to Margaritaville. Lennox introduced us to Bob Russell when we arrived. I have visited Jamaica 7 or 8 times, and Bob (876-447-7867 or 876-808-2903) was one of the BEST drivers by far and has 24 hour service. He took us to several familiar places but also on an excursion to YS Falls which was pretty terrific, as well as a Day Pass to The Royalton. Bob always arrived at least 5 minutes prior to our requested pick up time. Can't say enough nice things about him. Back to Chatham Cottage. Did I mention GREAT location? Close to restaurants, close to shopping, close to the beach, and about 1 mile from the airport. Not only would I recommend the cottage to friends and family, I already did, and I definitely plan to return. Thanks Monique for sharing your piece of heaven with us. This place is very cool and convenient to everything you would need in Montego Bay. Lennox is a pleasure to work with as well. If you are looking for an authentic tour of the island and not just a bus trip that is geared around tourist, allow Lennox to set you up with his group and you will have an amazing day really getting to know the island and the mountains of Jamaica. Our group was very impressed with this tour and it was the highlight of our vacation! We will definitely stay here again when we visit.

We had a short stay and were off doing things much of the time. The home is as described, clean, spacious and very secure. The kitchen is modern and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable- we agreed it was our best sleep during two weeks in Jamaica :) . Enjoyed relaxing in the back yard in the evenings. Great location for walking to public beaches (or Doctor's Cave), restaurants and bars. There were just two of us but this would be a great option for a family as there is lots of space and different areas to hang out. Recommended.

I highly recommend Monique’s cottage for your Jamaican get away. The cottage is in a perfect privately gated community. The landscaped yard is something else the hot water for showers was incredible. Monique provides all the detail items in her vacation home that make the stay enjoyable. Close to everything lots of nightlife and day beaches. We will be soon back!

Very clean, perfect area to hit the mountains or beaches. The green room is the perfect gathering area at the end of the day to discuss our daily island adventures. The backyard gardens is it's own oasis and the evening music in the air is a warm wonderful touch from the neighboring resorts. We will stay again.

Our second time to "paradise cottage" and it was not only like coming home...it's home with improvements! The upgrades continue and amaze, the new rooftop water heater is not only environmentally friendly but offers instant hot water. The new screens all around make it Zika safe and the green room is our all time favourite spot to chill and enjoy...cudos! The new security gate to the entrance laneway elevates the security and privacy feeling to Fort Knox level. It's an ongoing experience that is wonderful to be a part of and should be a welcoming experience to new comers that want to discover the real Jamaican culture. The owner Monique, property manager Lennox, grounds caretaker Ramsay and housekeeper Carol are a down home dream team that make this getaway something to remember long after you leave. This is "the" place if you want to live the real life while enjoying the comforts of home and the pleasures of the island. Came for two weeks last year and stayed a month this year and look forward to coming back next year! Our stay at the cottage was a perfect getaway. Monique, Lennox and Carol were all very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and was more than we expected. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor garden and the sunroom, with newly installed screens, made it even more comfortable. The location was perfect (tucked away and yet so close to the strip and more importantly...the beach!) and felt very secure. We've been vacationing in Jamaica for over 30 years and would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay in Montego Bay. Ron, Steph and Chris B

Chathan Cottage is a charming spot from which to experience Montego Bay and beyond. The cottage itself is clean with a gorgeous garden, full kitchen and two bathrooms, and comfortable living areas. Our host Monique and property manager Lennox were a pleasure - they referred us to a local driver who helped us with transportation and they did their best to repair one of the a/c units that broke during our stay. The location itself is safe and convenient to several small grocery markets, restaurants, and beach access (5min away); we took advantage of the Sandals Carlyle facilities for a discounted day/evening fee. One drawback was the noise beyond expected city sounds: specifically, on some evenings the two resorts played music at the same time behind the cottage (heard when sitting in the garden but not inside) and there was one day where construction (across the lane way) was louder than normal. Overall, we had a fabulous time in Jamaica and Chatham Cottage was a significant part of this positive experience! Thank you!

The house was absolutely fantastic. Very clean and conveniently located. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Monique was super helpful and we were able to book excursions through the sandals resort that was next door.
