This private two story rustic cabin has a relaxed, authentic, old world nautical flavor. The covered expansive deck is a great place to spend lazy afternoons with the balmy ocean breeze. Come enjoy the sounds and sights of Manatees and Dolphin from your own back porch. This unique waterfront cabin is ideal for fishing, boating and many other sea-side activities. Enjoy multiple scenic island surroundings. Dock your own boat off dock in back yard. Short distance by boat to both open ocean or clear springs for swimming and snorkeling with the manatees. The stars speckle the skies at night with many shooting comets to be seen. All sorts of birds and gentle wildlife can be watched daily from your porch-swing or rockers as otters love to come up on the sea-wall to play. Inside the cabin the the water views can be viewed on all sides even while cooking in the kitchen. Catch your own fish off the edge of the dock. Enjoy ocean breezes while lounging as dolphins swim by. Don't forget to visit the world renown wildlife park close by where you'll see pictures of Steve Erwin, the famous crocodile hunter, feeding the Manatees. Yes, there is also a live alligator show. The house has been neglected for some time. We were locked into this property due to no other availability after we got there and saw what we saw. There were other scheduled and paid for events we could not change. The cleanliness of the home is not what one would expect at any price. The mold alone is disturbing. There was water intrusion in the lower level from a rotted wall and woodwork to a leaky ceiling. Plumbing fixtures including toilets loose from their base and sink drains leaking under vanities. The home has not been properly cleaned for a long time. I can confidently say this and show examples through the dozens of pictures i took. The listed pictures and description are misleading and it was very disappointing to say the least. The furniture is worn out, broken or just bad and you could not pick up a tv remote without it becoming stuck to your hand from filth. I would never had rented this place knowing what I now know. I also got sick the last couple of days which ruined one diving trip, probably from the mold. This review is what is unfortunately is and VRBO and the Owner need to step up and make this a better place. I can provide pictures and details to anyone who wishes to see this. A very unhappy family left this property.

The view is indescribable in its beauty. The peace found there is one that that I have never felt and it gave me the ability to “just be.” Jeff was available and a gracious host whenever we had questions. This is a place worth staying at and we are hoping to have the opportunity to do it again in the future.

The property was very quite and perfect for a break between the holidays. The house is supplied with everything you need. From cooking to bedding. It was close to a lot of great shopping as well as walking trails, outdoor activities (swimming with manatees) and state parks. We seen a dolphin and a river otter from the porch. We would definitely book again.

The home is exactly what you see online and watching the wildlife was amazing. Caught a lot of fish off the dock and relaxed on upper deck while watching the dolphins.

The view from the cabin was amazing. It's great watching the boats go by and the birds feeding along the shoreline. One of our favorite things was swinging on the swing on the upper deck. Wonderful breezes up on the deck.

Spent most of the time lounging on the covered deck (rain or shine) viewing the local wildlife. Sea otters, dolphins, jumping mullets, bald eagles, crows, herrings, and the list goes on and on. The only problem was having to leave this paradise.

The hardest thing I’ve done this week is leave this property! The listing is very accurate! We saw manatee, the otter, some beautiful birds including two bald eagles! I would live here. Plenty of things to do. Kayaking, fishing, beautiful springs close by. A couple of bars/restaurants within golf cart distance. Just the drive to the house is incredible. It is so peaceful and serene. The house is very well equipped with all necessities and the master bed is so comfortable!! Check in process was simple and Jeff couldn’t have been a better host. I can’t wait to stay here again!

The cabin is amazing!

The cabin is amazing!

Magnificent views of the sunrise, and sunsets. All kinds of wildlife around. We had dolphins and manatees visit us several times. Highly recommend staying here. Close to everything you need, and still able to find a slice of heaven here in Homasassa Springs.

Enjoyed our stay. The location on the water was great. We fished and kayaked almost everyday. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. The property owner was friendly. He responded quickly to all of our inquiries and rushed to fix an issue we had during the vacation. The interior of the property is a little dated but nothing too bad. The view from the back porch made every morning and evening very nice. I would stay here again.

This was such a great get away. The place was exactly as we expected, clean, comfortable, relaxing. It was even well furnished with all kinds of cooking utensils We had a dolphin show up a few times in the evening who was fun to watch. We caught fish off the dock and watched all kinds of wildlife. Highly recommend this place. Hope to return someday :)

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the water, this is the spot. The covered porch is a wonderful place to hang out during the day and the middle of the night. The Freezer and the Shed are a great place to eat and close by. The owner was quick to respond with any questions. I recommend the Nautical Cabin 100 %.
